Kilwins Chocolates & Ice Cream

Always love the ice cream here. They have great waffle cones too. We’ve tried a few chocolates from their case but we weren’t impressed. That’s not why I took away a star though. This place is pricey! 1 malt, 1 shake, and 2 small chocolates from the case was over 20 bucks. Ouch.

While strolling around downtown we spotted this shop and stopped in for an ice cream treat.
The flavors of ice cream are refreshing, it’s all homemade in house and are very unique flavors. As we enjoyed this tasty treat we relaxed and watched them make up a batch of ice cream and fudge. The guys ding to cooking, mixing and measuring were working with the focus and intensity of chemists. The detail that they went to was defiantly reflected in the quality and flavor of their products!
We grabbed a box of fudge to go and finished or shopping and sightseeing with happy tummy’s! Stop in and treat yourself, you deserve it!

My wife got something she soon realized she did not like. The clerk politely refunded the treat, and we purchased another item that my wife enjoyed much more.
I appreciate this level of service. Not what I go into a business expecting, but definitely worth recognizing.

I stopped by to get some turtles at Kilwins yesterday, and I wasn’t disappointed. They were perfect – nice and fresh, with just the right ratio of caramel and nuts. The fudge samples were good too, with the best being the lighter brown sugar one.

Best dark chocolate salted caramel! I love the seasonal peppermint bark at Christmas. Ice cream is also very good, but a bit pricey. Fudge is excellent! For Halloween try the caramel apples.

I stumbled into this ice cream shop on a scorcher of a day. It was refreshingly cool inside and there was even a cute little spot to sit and eat what you order. I knew that I needed ice cream STAT. So, I looked at the flavors for a while (they offer samples) and picked pistachio. It was the best pistachio ice cream I have ever had, hands down. While I sat and ate my ice cream, I had quite a while to look over the store. It is decorated in such a cute way that I had to use some serious impulse control not to buy all of the chocolates that surrounded me. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to go. I haven’t tried their chocolates yet, but I dream about them and hope to someday soon. If you walk by and can manage to not stop because of the enticing smell of the shop then you clearly don’t like sweets (which is okay), but if not… You have to try some ice cream. I recommend the pistachio.

We got hooked on Kilwins ice cream last summer in Michigan where there are lots of stores. We were thrilled to see one in Fort Collins. It didn’t disappoint. The toasted coconut ice cream is heaven. A must try! We stopped in for cones a few times while we were in town and bought a quart for our travels as we left town. Staff was helpful and quick. Price isn’t cheap but it’s worth the cost.

Yum! Fresh ice cream with a fabulous array of flavors. The apple pie is my personal favorite (literally an apple pie in ice cream form) though they did not have it when I went, so instead we opted out for the Super Man flavor which tastes just like a fruit roll up! The only thing though is that this place is a bit pricy. A great treat once in a while!

The chocolates here are DIVINE! Great sweets and excellent service.
It’s a small business, but they make some of the best chocolates around. This is a destination spot for fantastic dessert.

Downtown Fort Collins has a few wonderful places to choose from for ice cream or chocolates. Even so, it’s Kilwins we always seem to end up at. I like that it’s locally owned by someone so committed to being part of making Old Town a great place to be and the coconut ice cream can’t be beat!

So many flavors, so little time! They make their waffle cones in house, and they are dipped in yummy things! So I got a waffle cone dipped in dark chocolate with their toasted cocnut ice cream (one of my favs) and a new chocolate turtle ice cream. So yummy and it reminded me of why I loved going to that place! Might be a tad over priced — almost $ 7 for my cone.

Very good. Big scoops so keep that in mind when ordering. I had the toasted coconut and key lime. Creamy and not too sweet. Lots of coconut and bites of chocolate.

In Ft Collins from San Diego and was looking for a good, local ice cream establishment. Kilwin’s did NOT disappoint! Legit ice cream all the way! Got a scoop of the Ft Collins Mud and the Pecan Praline… will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

From the outside, looks like an ice cream parlor, but inside so much more. Fantastic selection of mouth watering delicious tasting fudge, chocolates and candy/​chocolate/​caramel apples and more.
Don’t believe me? Just open the door and let the aromatic smell of this chocolate/​candy store waft into your senses. Dare you to do this and try walking away… I always walk in to satisfy my sweet tooth!

Ice cream, yum. The thing that struck me was that they were fairly efficient at getting people scoooped when there was a long line, I appreciate that.

Holy sugar overload Batman! This ice cream joint has a lot more to offer than just frozen milk and sugar, they have caramel apples, toffee, fudge and all kinds of other goodies to send you straight to the dentist.
The ice cream is very good. I thought Walrus was good, but Kilwins is much much better. Cups, cones or waffle cones — it’s your pick. Lots of interesting flavors to choose from, I suggest getting a small cup after your dinner downtown so you don’t get ice cream overload.

Went here yesterday and got peppermint bark, milk choc toffee, dark choc toffee, and nonpareils. SO GOOD. the dark choc toffee comes in individual serving sizes while the milk chocolate comes in big sheets and they cut pieces off for you. Their chocolate is very rich and delicious. I’ve had fudge here before and it was good but I can only handle a sample size. Never tried their caramel apples or ice cream. A bit pricey but worth it for quality :)

Great ice cream! They had a ton of choices for everyone as well as lovely looking chocolate treats. We only had ice cream and sampled quite a few.
The staff was patient and friendly while we tried some ice cream and they recommended their favorites as well. We enjoyed our time here and will probably be back soon!

Walking into Kilwin’s feels like a walk to yesteryear. There are caramel apples, fudge, jars of candy and a large case filled with chocolate. And in the back, an ice cream case. It’s warm and smells like sugary goodness.
Needing just a small sugar fix, we popped in for a chocolate pecan «Tuttle» and some marzipan fruit. The hubs had a couple hard pieces in the Tuttle but enjoyed it nonetheless. The marzipan fruit was awesome with just the right softness and perfect almond flavor. This is our old fashioned downtown FoCo treat stop.

If you are craving chocolate treats or ice cream, this is the place for you. The candies are ~$ 25/​lb, rather typical of handmade candy shops and they have some unique offerings like oreo fudge and bing cherry dark chocolates.
The true star of the show for me though was the ice cream. With over 25 flavors of hard-​dip ice cream, this is a dairy lover’s dream. The salted caramel flavor immediately caught my eye. With a dip ringing in at $ 4.25, the prices are a bit steep, but I couldn’t resist the unique flavor. The ice cream was rich and had a slight salty note which perfectly complimented the caramel swirls and chunks throughout. I really loved the flavor, and so do a lot of other people because a sign displayed on the counter rated salted caramel at the all time fan favorite at Kilwin’s nation-​wide. That’s right, Kilwin’s is a chain with a huge number in Florida and the South, but this is the only store in Colorado.
It’s well worth a stop if you’re exploring Old Town Fort Collins.
