Interstate Honda

I was a customer for years, then ownership changed to Fred MacDonald and the service went right into the crapper. They have mechanics that pay no attention to detail. They leave your bike outside in all kinds of weather. The last time I went there (after 3 years) it was for a «recall», this past December. Of course I’m going to take it in however, since there was snow on the roads, they came over to my place with a trailer and took the bike to their shop for me.
This was just before Christmas and they couldn’t deliver it back to me until after the holiday. Well, over Christmas we had 6″ of snow and guess where my bike was? Yup, sitting outside in the snow. !!
MY BIKE IS ALWAYS GARAGED. They have no regard for an owners bike. They could have at least called me before they closed for the holidays and told me they couldn’t get it inside and WOULD I LIKE TO COME UP AND PUT A COVER ON IT SINCE ITS GOING TO SNOW
AND WE HAVE TO PUT IT OUTSIDE ?
Not a word !!! When they delivered the bike to my home again, it was still all fingerprints from where they worked on it before they shoved it out into the snow. Of course I didn’t notice the greasy fingerprints until the snow and ice melted off the bike in my garage a week later.
I’m done with Interstate Honda.

We bought two Honda Metro scooters from them today. Paperwork was easy (we had a trade in), service was friendly and we were satisfied. But our sales rep, Antoine was the star of the show. He really fought to get us great trade value on my old scoot and was the most helpful sales person I’ve ever encountered. Give that man a promotion! :)

When these guys boast that they’re all about customer service, it’s actually true. Until I came here, I could safely say that I hated all auto/​motorcycle dealerships and the slimy dealers within. When I was dragged here months ago – all the damn way from Denver – I figured the beautiful Saturday would be spent trying to argue some guy down about pricing, denying all the extras they try to shove at you at the end.
Nope. Not at all the experience we received. We have been here twice, and have dealt with two different people now. Both of them were laid back, genuine, cared about the Hondas they repped, and were the lowest of low pressure.
Biggest bonus of all: TEST RIDES: Granted, I didn’t take them up on this offer, but my honey sure did. The first time, he didn’t find a bike that really meshed with him. Months later, he was able to leave with the perfect bike for him. And while he was out riding, I got to hang out in the A/​C and cuddle with Blue Doggy, the dealership pup. I wish I could have negotiated to take her home, as a throw-​in with the bike.
I’m actually really surprised that this is their first Unilocal review – they’re a great dealership, and I’m sure we’ll haul our butts all the way up to FC again for the dirt bike purchase.

These people made the purchasing process easy. Not only did they let me take a new bike for a test ride (finally, a dealer that gets that people might want to know how the bike handles!), but even were willing to make sure that someone was available to help me and that the bike was already out front so I wouldn’t have to wait for anything when I showed up at the dealership. The negotiation was low-​pressure and I got the feeling that they wanted a customer for life, not just one sale. They even delivered my bike to my home so that I didn’t need to arrange a ride to go pick up the bike. I’d definitely buy again from them and am looking forward to a long relationship with this business.
