I LOVE this place! I went in to buy some clothes for my GF. I’m clueless with this, but the staff was so cool. They were a delight to work with, and I really like that they have a 10 day return policy. I’d totally refer this place to anyone!

I hate shopping because I never find clothes that look right on me, so I end up leaving empty handed and frustrated. I went in to clothes mentor for the first time yesterday and went home with a bag full of cute, inexpensive shirts!!! I was SO HAPPY!!! I can’t even begin to say how much fun it was. Great quality for a low price. This will be my new go-​to place for clothes! Tabitha was so helpful and amazing! She showed me around the store, and helped me not be overwhelmed! I had a fantastic experience!!! Much much MUCH better than I had even hoped for.

I’ve shopped here on and off for a couple of years, I’ve found some cute things for work and my favorite wool poncho was purchased here. However, I just had the most horrible selling experience. I know they can’t take everything and I don’t take it personally when something isn’t right or they reject it off-​hand. I do draw the line at audible disparaging comments. I work in retail and I am frankly appalled at their lack of professionalism. I won’t be back because this kind of childish behavior can ruin your day and I would rather shop somewhere where the sale staff are apathetic than a place where they see fit to make fun of the size and style of your clothes. Gross.

Every time I have gone into Clothes Mentor I am greeted by the nicest staff, always receive help when I’m looking for something in particular, and love getting cash for my clothes that I no longer wear! I started following them on Instagram and Facebook and get to see their designer items and sales before they go out on the floor. More people need to experience Clothes Mentor!

Not sure what’s with all the bad reviews. Went in here for the first time today and my experience exceeded my expectations based on what others have said here. I was greeted upon arrival and found the selection and prices to be satisfactory. I bought 3 shirts for like $ 21. Definitely a good place for quality business and business casual clothing. Wish they had more cute dresses though!
They offer a punch card that you can use for 20% off your purchase once full — even got an extra stamp for not taking a bag, which I appreciate. The 2 young women certainly didn’t hover, but I found them to be friendly. Definitely worth a look from time to time to see what you find!

I have to say, I don’t care for some of the staff. I called from Greeley to ask when they stopped accepting clothes. The answer was 6:00. I drive all the way and arrive at 5:50 and this young bleach blond male tells me I have to come back tomorrow. The attitude on this young kid was amazing. Like I was a burden to his day. What ever happened to customer service. If people like me don’t come in to sell clothes, they don’t have a business and this poor mannered kid is without a job. They rarely buy clothes from me anyway and don’t pay much. It’s really not worth my time I’m discovering. I would rather go to a store where the sales staff are trained to be friendly to customers.

These people are thieves I took 63 items of quality clothing in was told they would get in touch with me to let me know what they would buy. Two days went by I didn’t hear from them so I called and they said they gave them all away. I will be taking them to small claims court. BBB says they get complaints every day on them but they’re not a member guess that’s why. When I told him I was taking him to court and filing a police report they offered me 30 dollars for the 65 items. They are scammers and should be shut down they’re making a lot of money off of clothes we pay hard earned money for the inside looks no better than a good will and customer service is zilch. Beware with this so called business

I used to sell clothes here but I am fed up. They will always quote you 20 – 30 minute wait times and then 90 minutes later they still haven’t sorted your buy! This happens to me every single time. Horrible customer service!
Also, their buying process is VERY subjective, depends on who you get and what their personal style is and what their mood happens to be. There is a new young guy working there and I doubt he is even 18 but he is one of the people that decides what they will buy. Ridiculous! He knows nothing about women’s style or jewelry. I took in several designer jeans, shoes and dresses, and a ton of high quality jewelry. He took forever on my buy and I was looking at a rack of clothes right near him and I was in plain sight and he went throught my stuff with a totally snobby attitude and actually made fun of some of my clothes. He also picked up some silver rings and declared they were fake. They are marked!
He passed on almost everything.
I went back the next day, with the same exact stuff, made sure I got a different buyer and she bought all but two of my items.
Some of their buyers are horrible and some have a clue. But you can’t really control who you get and in the end it is not worth the hassle of trying at different times or on different days.
Also, twice I have gone in with jewelry in perfect condition and when they are done with their inspection a rhinestone or two is missing. I also went in with several clothes that still had the tag on them and had to come back the next morning. Two of the items no longer had the tag on them! I asked for a Manager to call me and she never did. I left 3 messages after this and never heard back.
If you are interested in buying from them you might have some luck, you do have to dig. I have a few great items (mostly jewelry) from their store. I might still shop there but I will NEVER sell there again.
And even if you are just buying, expect crappy and snobby customer service.

I will never be back! After a year hiatus of not going to Clothes Mentor for crummy customer service and junky clothes, I tried again today. I had a few designer items to sell so gave it one more try. The nice young man at the counter said, «30 to 45 minutes» would be my wait. So, I looked around, found nothing interesting after 35 minutes so I headed over to the counter. The woman going through my items, knew I was waiting, and literally found every interruption she could to NOT finish my transaction. The young man kept prompting her and she passively aggressively did other things. After 60 minutes of waiting I received a whole $ 20 for my trouble. What a joke! I know tons if people who used to go there but don’t any more for this exact reason! I’ll be selling at Repeat Boutique from now on.

Don’t get me wrong– you have to dig. But everything I’ve ever gotten there has been well worth it. I got a great Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress and my favorite wedges there. The brands are excellent and the buying standards are higher than a lot of the other consignment stores (including Plato’s Closet). It’s a great place for young professionals looking to update their professional wardrobes.

I am not crazy about this place because I have witnessed them not buying quality clothes in favor of polyester junk. I know someone who can offload all of her stuff there, but they are in larger sizes and a bunch of polyester crap bought from Nordstrom Rack. They just don’t buy my higher quality stuff made with natural fibers, They also tend to not buy items in smaller sizes because the racks have very little to offer in the 2 – 8 range. This leads me to conclude that their store is tailored for larger size women who buy cheap quality clothes. Newsflash: This is Colorado. Most of the adults who live here are fit, and therefore, are not plus sized! It is too bad because there could be a really good market in Fort Collins for second-​hand mid-​market to better sportswear. Personally, I tried to sell a silk blouse (never worn, new with tags), and instead, they bought two crappy, ill-​purchased polyester blouses from the AT outlet. Go figure.

Come in often to find deals. New stuff everyday. Marked downs aren’t always advertised. Look for red marks for 20−50%off.

I went there once and will never return. They looked at me with their nose up in the air and made me feel totally unwelcome. I brought in several good quality articles of clothing — they looked at exactly ONE blouse and then called me over and said there was make-​up on all of the clothes I brought in, so I should go home and remove the make-​up before I bring them in next time. How could she know there was make-​up on all of them? And, several were pairs of jeans! Make-​up on jeans… no way.

I love this place. It’s perfect from young to elderly ladies alike to find great deals or bargains here for high quality clothes and accessories. This store features used clothing which are still in mint condition for really low prices. The ladies that work here have great customer service. The bathroom was pristine, by the way. Most glorious bathroom I have seen in any retail store.
I made an awesome purchase of a cute red sweater from Wet Seal for $ 14. Looks brand new! Also among my finds were a grey cardigan sweater from the Sarah Spencer collection for get this: $ 4! Just 4 bucks. Looks brand new as well. Found myself a great-​fitting pair of jeans for $ 14 that’s by the Denim Laboratory.
All my new clothes didn’t cost me too much. I would have probably spent the same amount combined for all purchases for just one pair of jeans from Macy’s. And the best part — the quality is fantastic! Thank goodness not the price. Come here for great bargains and good quality.
