D J’s Country Bar-B-Que

Don’t be fooled… this isn’t BBQ. You should smell bbq smoking. I’ve never had food this bad. I thought small place is usually good. Plus deltaQ was closed. You walk in and you are glared at like you are an inconvenience that you exist. You look at the menu and think hmmmm OK this might be OK prices aren’t bad. I swear I heard the microwave nuke 2 day old dry pork. Lady checking me out had 3 colors in her hair, I had a weird feeling when I walked in and now that weird feeling is coming from my gut.

Delicious food. Good prices. Menu offers a large variety of options at reasonable options. Ribs were super tender and the potato salad was amazing. Small place… big taste.

Pulled pork sandwich, yes with slaw!, was awesome as was the sausage plate. Very casual, reasonably priced.

This place was the worst BBQ we have had. Soggy, served in a small cup with slaw on top, over priced. A forth cup of beans cost $ 1.45!

Mediocre at the very best… got the 24.99 special… what one to go box of food for $ 27 ??? Your kidding. Well it better be damn great for that! Only one pathetic dry chicken thigh, 1 sausage cut into 4 bite size chunks on the slant to appear bigger, beef ribs very and dry flavorless, pork ribs are fatty and dripping with grease but little flavor. Brisket ws tender but again flavor was not anything special. Mac and cheese is not the high quality homemade I was told it would be. Feed it to my three dogs. It’s hard to believe it was homemade. The black bean and rice was pretty bad the rolls are the best thing about it.. I feel ripped off for 1) the less than 18 oz of meat (weighted on my shipping scale minus the styro box) (that’s over $ 12 per pound) save your money go to your favorite restaurant and have a nice meal you can count on .The folks that work/​own the place are nice but that my friend is the best part of our experience

Sadly DJs is now under new management. I hope that the new owners treat it right and serve the same wonderful food as the former owners.

Must say I really enjoyed this place. Very good BBQ.

Probably the best BBQ sandwich I’ve had that uses a sweet BBQ sauce. Definitely worth a visit. Make sure to get the mild jumbo BBQ sandwich.
