Phone is off the hook, people who work there rude/ignorant, manager is a waste of space, and never ever order delivery. After 2 hours of waiting they show up. Refused the delivery.

I ate here tonight for the first time since moving to the area. It was very lack luster. Stay away from the tofu, it is like eating mush; it had no texture or flavor at all. The chicken and broccoli featured a piece of bone and cartilage which was less than delightful. The pad Thai had multiples pieces of bone as well. Neither of us was satisfied. I didn’t finish my meal, neither did my little one. Sorry Hong Kong express… You need to work on things a bit before I’d ever go back.

Would give 0 if I could: phone is always taken off hook. Probably to slow down orders in kitchen, but here’s an idea. Tell the customer it’s gonna be awhile! Have orders there several times(I don’t know why) however this time I’m literally on my knees praying that I won’t get food poisoning! Ordered sesame chicken took one bite and am currently screaming out to the good Lord to protect me. The taste of old rotten chicken exploded into my mouth as I bit down. Seriously people… It’s a crap shoot. I’ve had maybe 1 good meal out of 5 or 6. We also got the shrimp fried rice and the shrimp tasted like a dog bone. As I type this my stomach is making those«churning sounds». Please please go elsewhere. They obviously don’t care about their customers enough to be prideful– it’s simply about the cash to them. BEAFRAID… Be very afraid I don’t ever do reviews, and this isn’t a review its a flat out warning

Food is sub par for Chinese food. The main disappointment was that I was looking for a place that delivers in Forney as I was not feeling well. I spent an hour calling and calling only to get a busy tone. Thinking they must be really busy, I drove to restaurant and walked into a completely empty restaurant. I went to the counter to order and looked down to see their phone intentionally off the hook as it was hanging from the cord laying in the floor behind the counter. I asked the lady if she knew the phone was off the hook and told her I had been trying to call. She«yeah, I’m busy.»(As no customers are there). While waiting for my order, anther gentleman walks in and while he walks to the counter he says«Does your phone not work? I’ve been trying to call forever!» While he was still at the counter I walked up to get my food and told him I had the same problem as I pointed to the phone laying in the floor. Pretty disappointing customer service to me…

Used to order from the often. Food was great but their service not so much. Called this evening for take out, was put on hold(not a huge deal) girl must have just set the phone down because I could hear her take 1 order, then proceed to chat with other employees. Finally got sick of being on hold for 10 minutes and hung up. Will never order from here again.

The food is top notch and in line with what I would expect from a higher end Chinese restaurant. I’m giving three stars instead of four because of the aforementioned sewer smell and because they will not sell a regular sized portion for dinner.

I would give this place no stars!!! I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice for delivery, as a whole bunch of other girls in the office ordered food too. When it was time to eat, they forget a few items, and orders were wrong. I called and told them what they forgot, and the manager said, «Yo friends ate it». So I literally drove up there, and they still kept telling me the same thing over. The sesame chicken had gristle and and bones it it, and the rice tasted like they burnt the oil. This place disappointed me majorily, and I doubt there will be a next time. They just lost an office full of 12 girls and a couple of guy’s business.

Fast service, fast food. But the food was awesome! Very impressed. Stopped in on the way back home to east Texas. The food came out quick and hot. An hour later when we got home it was still hot and it tasted AWESOME. I highly recommend.

Wonderful until today. They sent us home with the wrong order. Once we called to tell them, instead of apologizing, the girl who took the order claimed she repeated it(the wrong order) to us and we confirmed(the wrong order). Not a good move. Loss of two customers. No more referrals coming your way. They also forgot to de vain the shrimp.

Most places now only offer chow mein but this place still offers Lo Mein, our fav is the Shrimp Lo Mein with the veggies on the side. The portion is always large enough to feed our family of 4. Their orange chicken has a great flavor and their crab rangoons are awesome and crisp

I’ve had the chicken teriyaki, fried rice, sesame chicken & wonton soup. I’m pretty disappointed in this place. The chicken teriyaki was very dry, chicken was hard to chew. Wonton soup tasted funny and the sesame chicken wasn’t bad at all. I liked the fact they delivered to Heartland, but I would rather hop in my car and make the drive to Panda Express.

My husband and I love this place! I am pretty picky about Chinese food and this place is good. The employees are always super friendly, too.

First of all I would like to say we have been eating at Hong Kong express and ordering take out from this restaurant for 2 years since we moved to forney. We had a party of 10 tonight and one of my family members ordered a soda and a water and right before we received our food my mother inlaw was telling us that the last time she ate here she got a soda and a water and when she went to refill my father inlaws soda the lady behind the counter told her that she had the water clearly they could have seen that my father inlaw is legally blind and using a cane. So tonight was no different the lady behind the counter questioned one of our family member that he had water not soda which he was getting a refill for his wife who was holding and feeding their 10 month old son. We had enough of the rude service we did not even finish eating and got up and left we were so embarrassed especially after spending over $ 100 dollars and we were just wondering why they kept staring at us I explained to them that if they had a question about the drinks words like excuse me sir would you like a soda in replace of the water or would you like to order a drink instead of yelling it out that you didn’t get a soda. This will be the last time we order or come to this restaurant it’s a shame because they’re the only Chinese restaurant in forney.

I ordered the steamed dumplings, fried rice & sesame chicken to go tonight. When I walked in the smell was straight sewer, which I’ve read from other reviews. They weren’t lying, it’s awful. I got my food & it wasn’t much better. The dumplings were falling apart & had no flavor, my fried rice was burnt as well as my chicken. I was hoping to find a good fast Chinese place closer than Chans, but no such luck! Will not be coming back.

I really, really wanted to try this place! We’d been driving several hours before stopping in Forney, TX. We hadn’t eaten a real meal in nearly 12 hours, so when I saw this place recommended by our hotel, I wanted to try it. We drove over and walked in. The first thing that hit me was a sewer smell. When we lived in San Angelo two years ago, this was fairly common and I remembered it well. I seriously wanted to eat here after seeing another guest get their food just in the couple minutes we stood in line to order. The smell was too much for me and so we went and hit a drive-thru to take back to the room.

Recently returned for another meal. They’ve changed up their menu, cut a few items. The meal, chicken in garlic sauce, was awesome. They’ve improved their recipes. Still my favorite Chinese restaurant in Forney.

I don’t really understand the other reviews on this place. I was visiting family and wanted to get delivery. I always look at reviews before trying something out of town. I guess I was expecting more from this place. It was not the best I had ever had. We had Orange Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Won Ton soup. The two chicken dishes were edible, not great, but the Rice and Soup was disgusting. The soup tasted like it was burnt and sat for days and the rice had a funny flavor too. Delivery was fast and the food was hot but you would be better off going to Panda Express.

I don’t even like Chinese. But like this place. My issue with Chinese is that usually everything is drenched in sauces and fried. The ingredients are fresh. The owners are nice. They have brown rice. They put my sauce on my on the side. I work out in Forney on occasions and this was my second time to eat here. It was as good and reliable as the first time and I think, now the only place I’ll eat in Forney when I’m working out there! I’m sure if you have special requirements, this seems like a place that would accommodate and the price is reasonable.

Great place to eat at or order delivery from. If choosing delivery they are prompt with their delivery time. The only suggestion I can give is ask for extra sauce packages. Every time I order they never give me enough.
