History

Established in 1998.

After graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University with a BFA in art, Chris realized that he needed to find a way to make photography a career. After meeting Steven E. Gross, an established artistic wedding shooter, he decided to give photographing weddings a chance. In Chris’s opinion, there is no better poetic way to capture a wedding than using black & white film and producing fiber-​based prints that last generations.

Chris loves working with people. He cares about them as if he’s part of the family, so a natural growth from his wedding photography was family portraits. In 2006, Chris opened his storefront studio in the awesome neighborhood of Forest Park, where he now also shoots pregnancy, infants, families, and even pets. Capturing the unique character of the subject is his primary goal, and he hopes that people will count on him to be the storyteller of their lives for many years to come.

I have 3 boys with my beautiful wife of 16 years. My oldest started HS this past fall, the younger two are in grade school. I’m looking to be your family storyteller for many years to come. My career is very fulfilling as I really enjoy meeting, seeing and capturing people with my camera. I’m very fortunate to be able to do what I do. All I need is another 25 years and I’ll feel great.
