My name is Ronald Hurst and here is my story. In 2002, I was injured at work in New Orleans. I saw three different doctors that wanted to amputate my legs and told me to just sit in chairs. For 4 years I followed the doctor’s advice except for having my legs cut off. I came to visit my mom in Georgia and saw Dr. Loren Colon. He advised me to try physical therapy and special custom braces and eventually I began to walk. I can walk about 5 hours a day without pain. I traveled from New Orleans to Georgia just to see Dr. Loren Colon. I have now moved to Georgia just so I can be closer to my doctor at American Foot and Leg.

I would just like to take a moment to say that the folks at American Foot and Leg clinic in Locust Grove are the best. I went back today for my two week follow up with Dr. Loren Cohen. I had visited his office initially because I was desperate to get some relief from pain I was experiencing in my calves and feet due to nodules that had formed in both extremities. I have RA and I understood from my rheumatologist that these were a side effect of the disease. I have had this continuous pain for the past three years and none of the physicians I saw were able to help. Dr Colon examined me and immediately recommended a plan of treatment that I was able to report to him today was a tremendous success. I am now pain free and have him to thank for that so kudos Dr. Loren Colon and I am putting you on my happy face list. For anyone out there having foot or leg pain I highly recommend Dr. Colon and his staff :):)

Wouldn’t recommend. Dr. Loren Colon did a very quick ‘examination’ and then just put me on the laser for 10 sessions. Alex, the laser tech & the office manager (I think that’s what she is), were both a bit rude & unprofessional.
I tried to reach out to them because I wasn’t satisfied, no response. I’m still open to resolving this with you all, contact me. Until then, don’t come here, there are a million podiatrist in Atlanta.

I was just at the American Foot and Leg Specialists office in Forest Park. I had the WORST experience I have EVER had at a doctors office. I was 15 minutes late due to getting lost which was completely my fault, but the treatment that I received from the front office staff was extremely difficult to swallow. I was ignored for the first 5 minutes I stood at the check in window, only to then be greeted with, «what do you need,» followed by, «what are we seeing you for?» I could NOT believe I was being asked to tell the front desk staff about my ailment in front of the entire waiting room and office staff. This is in direction violation of HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
After I explained myself the attendant snickered, walked away and returned saying you will need to come back at another time, 3 hours later in the day… I said no thank you and walked out. This office is dirty and the front office staff is unprofessional. Knowing that they violated my privacy, what will they do to you?
