History

Established in 2004.

Daniela’s serves seasonal treats from a historic shop downtown Forest Lake. Built in the early 1900’s as a gas station, the increasing traffic through town, required a newer facility. Thanks to the neighbor next door, the building was moved to his property rather than being torn down.

Come in and quench your summer appetite with fresh made gelato (ice cream), smoothies, and sodas. Feeling chilled in the winter, then warm up a cup of Daniela’s Hot Chocolate. If chocolates your game, Daniela’s carries fine chocolates from around the United States and Europe all year long.

Great place to get gifts. The candy there is so delicious. the packaging is so original. Also they have the best hot chocolate in MN rated by WCCO news, and in the summer they have some of the best Gelato! It almost brings me back to Italy. I would recommend going in and seeing what they have.

A bit spendy but overall good quality. We bought a couple different kinds of truffles, an almond toffee bar, and gelato cones. The truffles were delicious, some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The almond toffee bar was okay, nothing spectacular. The gelato was good, we ordered the blood orange and hazelnut chocolate. The flavor of each gelato was great, very rich, but we were only given one small scoop each. The portion was so small it only sat on top of the cone, we both ended up throwing almost all of the cones away after finishing the gelato. We may stop back in for truffles at some point, they were fantastic, but everything else was WAY over priced and lacked any WOW factor.

There’s chocolate, and then there’s Daniela’s! This is great chocolate! A friend brought a box to our house yesterday and I now know where I’ll be buying ALL of my candy in the future! Rather than relying on subpar ingredients, you can tell she uses only the finest ingredients and it has certainly paid off for her.
I don’t have any idea how much chocolate she sells, but my next task is to find out her hours. I also now know what I will be bringing as gifts to people, regardless of whether it’s a house warming, a B-​D gift, a Christmas present, a tree-​trimming party, etc. I am a serious choclate snob and and enjoy good quality chocolate. If you also like and appreciate good chocolate, you MUST make a trip to her shop!
