The Kew Forest School

three of my kids graduated from Kew-​Forest over the past 5 years and went to top top universities. this is a testament to its academics & the ease for students to join varsity sports teams, model un club, mock trail club, play-​writing…
furthermore for a school of its size, KF has won numerous varsity championships and places highly in mock trail & model un.
it is a truly a gem of a school

Came here with a relative to check out the school ground and how much.
Here’s a short breakdown.
1. Tuition is ridiculous! It literally cost more than my college tuition including my dorm fees at that time of our visit. See below for current tuition price according to their website.

Full-​day Pre-​Kindergarten for 4-​year-​olds: $ 24,250
Full-​day Kindergarten program for 5-​year-​olds: $ 24,250
Grades 1 – 4:$ 28,250
Grades 5 – 8: $ 30,775
Grades 9 – 12: $ 32,775
2. Small school, in some ways its good but it kinda stinks. Lack of amenities, school yard is very small. School’s exterior is ugly. They spend tons of money repainting and landscaping the exterior every single year and it still looks like crap. The paint is always falling apart and the stuff they plant never last.
3. Athletics — They focus a lot on tennis and a few other sports but they don’t really dominate in any of them. It’s a school for dorky rich kids.
4. Notable Graduates and attendees — Hank Azaria and Donald Trump.
Verdict — We weren’t very impressed with what they charged and for what they offered. We liked St. Francis Prep better. They had a lot more to offer for a lower cost.

My daughter is a new student at Kew Forest School and she loves it. Each and every student is treasured and given personal attention. She was welcomed into the school by her teachers, students and administrators. They took their time to get to know her personally, and get to know her academic strengths and weaknesses. After only few days she feels as part of the team and has a strong personal connection to the school. Their main goal is to educate our daughter so she can attend an Ivy League College. I strongly believe that this will happen.

My son goes to KF and we love the school. The classes are small enough for him to get truly personal attention. The facilities are great and the teachers are genuinely interested in their students.
