Who said good food only comes from a restaurant? This Mexican Food truck hits the spot with 3 taco combo for $ 9. Ordered 3 types of pork tacos. Spicy pork, fried pork and roasted pork tacos as 3 combos. Taste reminded me of California street corners where tacos taste no less than authentic. Better than Cali taco stands, they serve you with lime and napkins with tacos in tin containers for easy carry togo. Look forward to trying other items on the menu in the near future!

I really wanted to love the food but the al pastor was burnt and bland, bistec was chewy(also bland), and the oreja was slimy. Too bad.

Usually in September this cart is my life savior. Working late nights is one of the few edible things I can venture for, enjoy and know I feel truly guilty. But boy the satisfaction is just so great. Tacos are my things. Made to order. I usually order the carnitas which are priced incredibly reasonable, $ 3.00 each. You get a nice fat taco with juicy pork, chicken, meat or many other toppings. The menu is displayed on the food truck. They are open late night; 6 days a week. Sunday’s they are not out there. The cart is right next to citibank. So it’s conveniently located next to the 71st continental train station. I haven’t tried their other dishes but the tacos have always been consistent. You can watch some novelas while you wait, since these folks have a tv inside the cart to keep them entertained when it’s slow. Try them out and you won’t be disappointed.

So Im not one to try food off a food truck but Ive heard so many good things about this truck I thought I would give it a shot. For a food truck they do have a large variety to choose from. The first time I ate there Im not really sure what I got but I didnt like it. It was some kind of sandwich fried corn meal for bread with fried pork. Very greasy and no taste. I noticed while I was waiting for my order that everyone else was ordering the meat trays. I wait a week and go back this time I ordered the pork meat tray no salad. I must admit the meat tray was tasty and fresh. Ill go back but Ill probably stick to meat trays. Its cheap its quick and the food truck looks clean so if your in the area give it a shot. Avoid the fried pork its just ward greasy and no taste.

My friend and I came here on a late Thursday night and they had a lot of customers flocked around waiting to order. When we finally did we paid 9 $ for three tacos which is fine I guess. Two of them were chicken which my friend had and liked and one was steak which I had and wasn’t so good. It left me with a bad stomach and the texture of the meat was off. They were a little gritty. Next time I’m craving tacos I’ll go to Chipotle down the block

I was originally so excited to see that there was a taco truck in the neighborhood! I stopped by here for lunch and ordered two lengua tacos and one spicy pork taco. When I got my order, I got no lengua tacos but three different tacos. I was really disappointed that they couldn’t even get my order right even though it wasn’t very busy. One of them was just pure fat and it made me feel ill immediately.

I’ve slowly embraced the fact that I need tacos in my life more than any other kind(s) of food. Okay, partially true because I’d probably put Chinese Food, BBQ& Burgers ahead of tacos but tacos is making its way up on the ranking and in grand fashion. Mexican Food is a no thrills late night taco food vendor right on Continental Avenue next to Citibank for those that find landmarking easier to navigate to. This is one of TWO Mexican late night spot around, the other being 5 Burro Café. Your only other option would be to travel a little farther to Roosevelt Avenue(Elmhurst, Corona, Jackson Heights, etc.) to get your taco fill. On most nights, I don’t feel up to doing that. So, Mexican Food is where it’s at. Mexican Food is priced on the higher side for some reason. Especially being in Queens. Although, Forest Hills is known for higher priced dining but still I think it’s a bit inflated. In Manhattan no, in Queens YES. Food wise, they are pretty good and I think they are trying to up their game presentation wise. I am not easily swooned. I normally order the 3 tacos for $ 9. Sometimes I get adventurous and order something else but as I said, tacos do it for me. The pork taco, chicken, & steak all had great flavor. The lemon wedge instead of lime wedge was a question mark but it still brought out great flavors. The green and red sauce went really well with the tacos. The radish slices was nice for presentation but I didn’t eat it. Service wise, was good. I thought the lady was pleasant. If you are around this neighborhood and don’t feel like trekking farther for tacos, this place will do it for you. FAN.

The lady is rude but i decided to order anyways to give them a chance. I got the meat platter of chicken and steak. Terrible choice and a waste of my money. The rice was just strange… tasted like frozen rice heated up(which I’ve never tried but I imagine that’s what it would taste like). Both the chicken and steak were dry and tasteless. The veggies were fresh though. Maybe it was just a bad day for the worker. I’ll give them another chance and update my review another day. But for now, it’s just… no.

Its soooooo bad yet sooooooooooo good for you. I was pleasantly surprised i’ve seen this car in my neighborhood but the corner of Citibank and always said no I’ll never tried it but it can’t be bad when the line is as long as it is and a few weeks ago got a quesadilla so good I went back the next day for another one and this is my third trip here and it’s good

I have a weak spot for authentic Mexican tacos in my heart, I turned to Unilocal for something quick to eat before catching a movie. Then I found this little cart park on the sidewalk, I ordered 2 chicken tacos no guacamole with extra green sauce. The wait took about 5mins but oh my god when I received them, they were amazing! So good I had to order 2 more; I would definitely recommended this place to anyone in the neighborhood who’s looking for a quick tasty bite, at $ 3 a taco you can’t beat that!

OK, so this is my first review. I’ve been visiting this small taco stand for over 2 years now. This is my go-to spot for my taco cravings. Always quick, delicious, and very reasonable. Especially for the Austin street locale. My favorite are the tacos with Chorizo. I highly recommend them. The Chorizo are perfectly seasoned, and cooked. I usually add some red hot sauce along with the green sauce it comes with and boom I’m in Flavortown baby. Service is always quick and friendly from the woman who runs the stand. Not sure about any negative reviews as this is as good as it gets for typical Mexican«street food». For a quick, delicious, and reasonable bite on the go, this is a great choice. Enjoy.

Great truck to grab a few quick tacos from when out and about in Forest Hills. I typically get the carnitas tacos, which are good but a little greasy. The flavor is amazing though! I’ve tried the chicken tacos, and they were a little blander than I expected. I like how they make the tacos with the veg stacked on top and radishes on the side — very yum!

This place has some good food. Anything I eat here, I eat in silence. I don’t talk to anyone I’m with. I don’t look at phone. I don’t let anything interrupt me and my meal. This place is legit and is open for most of the day. There’s also very little wait time even though the line can get fairly long. There aren’t many Mexican carts in the area, but this is as good as it gets. Cheap prices for great food

Yeaaah… No. So I see this cart all the time when I go to Gotta Getta. And I always think, maybe I want a taco instead of a bagel. The bagel always wins, but today I decided, in addition to my bagel I was going to order one taco from«Mexican Food»(hahhaahaa, really?) just to see — just to SEE — what was going on here. Well I’ll tell you what’s going on and it’s not good. You can read Kais’ review below to get a more complete rundown on how bad this place is. I only had one taco and I didn’t watch the guy at all while he made it, but I can tell you that his attitude left something to be desired. Look, we don’t go to random food carts in NY to get treated like kings and queens or even for smiles and vague chitchat, we go because the smells that come out of them entice us and the idea of tasty(if sometimes questionable) food made on the spot for two or three bucks, but really dude, could you look at me more dismissively or with less enthusiasm while you take my money and hand me one of the world’s worst tacos that I’ve ever had the displeasure of encountering. And it was, an encounter. This thing was every incarnation of bad, from the toxic green sludge they are passing off as guacamole, to the weird ground meat that was presented as «carne asada.» I don’t think so. The best thing about this taco was that it was hot and the cilantro and onions tasted fresh. So that happened.

Okay, after searching this place on Unilocal and going up and down the block trying to see this carts«official name», it appears that they call themselves, you guessed it Mexican food. This stand is located in front of gotta get a bagel and I think operates until late. I have been here 3 times and it was okay. You must drown your sandwich or quesadilla with hot sauce in order to be able to even shove it down your mouth. The real kicker here is the food handler… and I mean handler in the most literal term. This lady did not wear a glove while making my sandwich, so I decided to let things play out, surrounded by two drunks and a cabbie we all wondered when she would realize that she did not have a glove on. We watched in awe of her blatent disregard for any basic food handling etiquette, and this is the best part… she wore a glove to take the money out of my hand … can you believe this? When she bagged everything and realized I handed her a dollar just to jolt her into awareness, she did not understand. When I informed her I docked her a dollar for every critical health violation, she laughed and took the sandwich back… right when you think this adventure ends with her making me a new sandwich with gloves on… boy are you wrong. She wears the same gloves she handled the dollar with, and puts the meat from the same barehanded sandwich on the grill and gave it back to me … But I will tell you that was the best hand sweat, generator fuel smell, and money smelling sandwich I ever had. To end this epic experience I was forced to do something I would only break out under extreme circumstances… I used one of the only spanish quotes i know best; I looked at her and then my sandwich and uttered the words: NOBUENO and left. Want a place thats relatively expensive and lives up to all the negative stereotypes of cart foods? Want to hit the toilet at all random times at night… at least you can tweet about it, Want some handmade literally handmade mexican food … with hands all up on your tacos, Then your in luck buddy!!!
