I have been trying to find a place where the Scotch selection went beyond the usual 5 suspects. I dropped in here on a whim when I was expecting last minute guests during a holiday weekend. I couldn’t believe my luck when I saw he selection available. So many different brands and priced decently. Also and this was the Big Plus the young man working there really knew his stuff! I was able to tell him what I liked and didn’t like about other brands and he helped me find a lovely bottle of a Scotch called Balvenie. It was a hit! I will definite return to see what other bottles I can try. It’s really great to be able to have someone really inform you of flavor profiles instead of someone telling me «This is popular».

This store is stocked with some great wine and spirits at a reasonable price. Very friendly abd helpful service.

Attention all bourbon and rye aficionados. This is THE place to buy the difficult to find and special label bottles. The new management is very knowledgeable and willing to help you find what you are looking for. Of course they have all of the more familiar liquor brands, but it is their wide variety of special labels that makes them stand out.

Good wine collection with very reasonable prices. Great location on Metropolitan ave. Very friendly and ready to help you with your wine questions.

These people know their liquor. I’ve been here to get both wine and liquor for several different occasions and parties and every time they’ve helped me find the perfect choice; they are experts at knowing the perfect pairing of liquor for your occasion.
I went in couple days before thanksgiving and told them the varying tastes of my family that I was having over for dinner and they helped me choose 4 different wines to cover all the different tastes and all well within my budget.
I even recommend to friends who are a bit further from town.

so I helped my cousin move to Forest Hills yesterday and decided to show him around. after lunch, we swung by this liquor store just to see what they had on hand. oh, and I decided it’d be a good contender for the April Underdog Challenge since they have no reviews yet!
it’s not a huge place, but not cramped either. the shelves are very well-​organized with a good selection of booze (some places, you risk knocking over all the bottles due to poor bottle-​stacking arrangements), and prices are fair. some things are a little cheaper here than the liquor places on Queens Bully (not by much, but hey, every cent counts).
the guy working there recommended a scotch that my cousin bought (Glenmorangie — never heard of it to be honest) and he actually seemed to know his liquor (sometimes liquor store workers don’t). when I asked if he had heard of Cayrum (I’ve been on a quest to get a bottle since having it at the Z Hotel Unilocal event… only found it in one liquor store so far), he said no, but that he’d ask their suppliers and see about getting some in stock.
Metropolitan Avenue has more of that old-​school Queens feel to it and this little liquor store fits perfectly there.
