Patients beware! Went to this dentist 5 months back since I was living in Queens at the time and was told I had nine cavities. I knew I had at least one cavity, as it was noticeable but 9? As a person who adheres to a strict diet and flosses /​brushes /​uses mouthwash, I was astonished to find out the news. Not to mention devastated, that I would have to shell out so much money. Recently, I went to a family dentist, who took x-​rays and confirmed that I didn’t have nine cavities. This man is a scam artist, who I am reporting to the BBB. He was eager to fill «cavities» that didn’t even exist! For those of you out there considering this man, please trust your health with someone who runs an honest business.

Was reading another reviewer and it sounds so much like my own experience. They have turned into money gouging business, charging excessively for anything and for everything they possibly can.
Be very careful where and what you sign and ask for printouts with your signature, and read your EOB statements from Insurance co. — you cant trust these guys.
I asked for an earliest appointment and they tried to charge me $ 150 as emergency fee (what!!). When I was walking away, they agreed to not charge emergency. During my next visit, I learnt that they still billed as emergency and asked me to foot the bill.
They will haunt you for appointment and chase you to your grave until you agree to an appointment. If you cancel your appointment, they will still make money by charging excessive cancellation fee. Stay away.

Agree with the previous low score review. This place charges for things your insurance won’t cover and are aggressive in having you pay them. Way over the top «reminders» … 10 calls/​text to confirm appointment and yes, god forbid you are late or cancel,. Hefty fee. The dentist assistant is great, she is thorough, but you feel like a cash cattle after leaving the office. Double copy and membership fees and «oh, insurance doesn’t cover antibiotics, that’ll be $$$». Ridiculous. Sept 6 2014, I received a call from an unknown number, when I answered they told ME to hold on… Was put in hold for a minute until they came back on and identified themselves to hound me for appointment. I canceled and told them to lose my number. Found a nearby office that offers FREE whitening with a cleaning… FREE. When asked if they would match they said no and offered me a zoom for discounted price of $ 499 or to do Surgical «caps» for thousands of which again, the insurance won’t cover most. If insurance company barely want to pay them. Then that’s a hint. Steer clear, and yes, I’m disgruntled,. Be wary of positive posts from staff.

This has to be the worst dentist office I have ever experienced and not because of the dentists but because of the staff and how it is being operated. About 2 months ago I had an appointment for a general check up. I was running a few minutes late to my appointment and unable to call them since I was underground in the subway. As soon as I had service my phone was bombarded with messages from the staff stating that I was 15 minutes late (which I was not it was 10:13am when I received the message) and that I would now have to pay $ 150.00 for not canceling or rescheduling the appointment. First of all I find this amount of money to be ridiculous for anyone to have to pay for a cancellation fee. When I’m pretty sure not even a general consultation cost that. Second I did not cancel the appointment, I was running late something that can happen to anyone. When I was able to talk to one of the staff to inform him that I was on my way he proceeded to lecture me about the fact that I was running late and again threatened to charge me that ridiculous amount. So naturally after feeling attacked by this employee I responded back by telling him that, that was a ridiculous charge and that I was on my way but that I would never go back to that dentist office. His response was that I could not go anymore because I was not welcomed and that I would still have to pay their ridiculous fee. To top it off when I called the office to speak to the manager it turns out that the same asshole that I spoke to earlier is also the office manager. My point is these people are money grubbers they are not part of the Queens County Dental Society or BBB so they do whatever they want. This is an uncomfortable situation but I like to look at the positive side to everything, therefore I will take it as a learning experience. Next time I will do my research on the practice I chose to give my money to. I hope that this is helpful to others so that what happened to me doesn’t happen to anyone else by these people.

I was trying to make an appointment as a new patient, in pain with a tooth. His assistant squeezed me in a 20 minutes window and called my insurance, Aetna. She got back to me saying that my benefits are OK but the insurance is not paying for my consultation; she asked $ 135.00 for that 20 minutes to just look at what needs to be done. I was shocked and very upset. I never heard such a think!
Over the years I so other dentists, in Manhattan and Queens, but I was NEVER asked by any of them to pay for the first visit (evaluation).
I called the insurance myself and they explained that the plan doesn’t cover «consultation», covers only «exam”-but this is what I wanted! When I explained the situation to the insurance company they said that in my case the dentist should have done an exam, but his assistant wanted to put consultation, to get the cash from me.
WHAT A RIP OFF!!!
Are they having any morals? I am in pain and I just wanted examination and treatment, but I couldn’t get because of their gridlines!

Went for a cleaning and xrays. As far as prices goes — this is the best in forest hills. Another office was going to charge me double what this place had charged me. I thought that the service would diminish because of the price but it did not! The front desk staff was great! My dental hygienist was phenomenal (Masiel — I think that was her name). And the dentist was also very nice and listened to me and addressed all my concerns. The only reason why I took one star off was because for about 2 minutes they left me with some lady to do my xrays and she didn’t know what she was doing and was hurting my mouth. My hygienist came to save me — Thank God! Other than that my visit was perfect. No waiting with an appointment, hot coffee and cold water in cozy waiting room and tv was not blaring. Will be returning and recommending friends.
