I saw the listing by Luis on a Sunday morning on Streeteasy app and called him right away. He was able to coordinate us to see the apt in 30 mins when he learned that me and my husband were available. The signing of the lease and the application all went very well and efficiently in about 10 days. Then we are in our new 1-​bed apartment. Nice and helpful is what I thought about Madison Realty.

Not being from New York, the apartment searching process is quite harrowing here. It seems each realtor only has a few apartments under their profile to show a client, and its a laborious process having to go to many people. I saw Jason’s number in the window of his office and called him. He told me about an apartment and I went to look at it and fell in love with it. It’s a great building in a good area. I put in my application on a Friday, and by Monday morning got approved. It was such a relief to not have to search anymore. It was so seamless. He also helped me move in a few days early so I could have the weekend. He’s very easy-​going, will text/​call you back within 1 day of you asking any questions, and overall a really nice person. If you are looking for a realtor, you should definitely consider Madison Realty. Also I am giving this 5 stars because he made something that is usually a crappy experience into something nice and stress-​free. That is pretty difficult to do :)

Myself and my boyfriend worked with Jason on an apartment in queens. I meet with Jason after a long day of looking at apartments and Jason was patient and engaging. Since I was exhausted from looking at apartments, I wanted my boyfriend to have a look at the apartment to see if he saw potential. Jason was accommodating and waited for my boyfriend to take a look at the apartment later that evening. We ended up applying for the apartment. During the signing Jason met with us and warned us about the location of the management company. They are located in an ally (no exaggeration) and I was extremely hesitant. Jason stayed and assured us everything will be ok. Even checked up on us the day we went to pick up the keys. Why I gave Jason 5 stars is due to what happened a day in the apartment. My boyfriend was in the apartment by himself and got locked in (not out in) the apartment. The top lock twisted in such a way that the only way to get out is for someone to unlock it from outside. My boyfriend called the management company and they could not have anyone come until 8 hours later. This was a Monday morning and my boyfriend was heading to work. I was at work in the city and had no way of getting there myself. Jason was able to come and essentially rescue my boyfriend from the apartment. In future dealings with the management company of the apartment, their lack of response is the norm, so my boyfriend would have literally suck in an apartment with no food/​internet/​complete furniture for the whole day if Jason did not come. I appreciate his help and sincere concern. Thank you Jason!

thinking about moving? or looking for your future home? can be stressful. I found Madison Realty about 4 years ago. When I had to move out of my old apartment and had only 3 weeks to find something. I don’t know about you but I’m very particular on what I want and need. So, after going through and dealing with tons of Realtor who says, they can find everything you are looking for, I was so disappointed. I was so upset (due to the fact that I was working full time and trying to schedule my appts with them and not seeing the results) to the point that I thought about even moving in with my parents!!! Which I told myself, I would never do! However, I gave it a last shot before finally giving. That’s when I went through craigslist and found Madison. I told them exactly what I wanted and need and they were very good at it. They were able to work with my crazy work schedule and stay late if needed. Even worked with me during the weekend. They were very flexible. With that, I was able to find the apt of my dreams and was able to close within days!!! I’m still at the apt Madison helped me find.
I loved working with them so I even introduced them to my parents who moved across the street from me. My parents don’t speak English that well but Jason (our Realtor) know exactly what they were looking for. He even waived our application fee cause he loved my parents. :) — and trust me the feeling was mutual on all parties. My parents were able to close within days, Jason was able to help with the documents by staying in close relationship with the building mgmt. Because of the, we were able to move in smoothly and stress-​free.
I would recommend, Madison Realty to anyone of my friends and family. If you don’t believe me, give them a try! You won’t regret it and you will build a friendship as well. :)

Could’ve sworn that this business has reviews the last time I checked. Did Unilocal remove them? Did Madison realty? Maybe Madison just removed the business and then put it up again, erasing all the reviews. Last time I remember they had about 7 or 8, and only three of them may have been real reviews. Other reviewers said that madison realty was writing review for themselves to offset the 1 and 2 stars. I can basically sum up their reviews. A lot of people were upset that they out up money and didn’t hear back or get their place for weeks. They said people were rude at Madison.
I didn’t have to wait weeks to get my place and nobody was rude to me. Everyone at Madison was nice. But the level of diligence and professionalism did not meet the brokers fee I had to pay. We were told all sorts of things would happen and they wouldn’t be a problem (two year lease and the building allowing a certain dog). Low and behold things were denied by the management company of the building that they said they had a great rapport with and wouldn’t be a problem. Carmen was not very diligent. She would forget the keys to the place we wanted to see once more before signing the lease. She said she assumed they hadn’t changed the lock yet while they were renovating it so that the key she had would still work. Something you shouldn’t assume, especially when I am taking time out of my day to come see this place and are possibly paying you. After the first incident i mentioned where we asked for a two year lease and a dog we were considering not going back to her at all. We’d rather give our money to someone else. But only certain management companies will work with certain realtors. The realty market is very quick and if we didn’t act fast someone else could swoop in and take the apartment we wanted.
We got our apartment, we didn’t have to wait. The apartment is awesome. But their lack of diligence and their false promises aren’t worth the broker fee. They are just lucky they had access to an apartment we loved. And if this review disappears somehow I’ll find out and post another one and then report them to Unilocal

Madison Realty is a great company. Their professionalism and customer service goes beyond what I have experienced elsewhere. Until I came to them my experience of realtors had been of disappointment and disgust. They weren’t trying to push apartments out of budget or tell us what we wanted. They listened to our needs and concerns to show us great apartments. They went above and beyond to make sure we got what we wanted. I don’t hesitate for a second to recommend them to family, friends or clients.
