Dr. Biller is a graduate of NYU School of Dentistry. He is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry and an attending at Jamaica Hospital’s Department of Dentistry.

Dr. Biller has earned Mastership status in the Academy of dentistry mastership fellowship. To earn the Mastership Award he first had to obtain Academy General Dentistry fellowship status by passing an exam and completing 500 course hours within 10 years. To earn a mastership one must complete 600 additional hours, 400 of which must be earned through «hands on“courses.

Dr. Biller is a member of PEARL (Practitioners Engaged In Applied Research and Learning) an exclusive network of highly qualified dentist engaged in leading-​edge research sponsored by the National Institute of Health (NIH).

Dr. Biller has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. He is a resident of Jamaica Estates, where he lives with this wife and three beautiful girls.

Everyone at the office was very kind and friendly. I’m the type who gets pretty anxious at dentists, even on routine visits, so the attitudes and patient care matter quite a bit to me.
The procedure itself was thorough but painless. The hygienist also took the time to consult with me on several things, giving me tips I actually hadn’t heard before (for example a good technique to clean your tongue).
I’m extremely pleased with this dentist and staff, and have no doubt I’ll continue to be a regular.

I cannot thank Dr. Landau enough for the wonderful job he did with my teeth. He’s patient, explains everything to you thoroughly, and gentle while you are in his chair. All the staff are very accommodating, especially Sheila and Jessica, who go above and beyond in their duties.
I would refer Dr. Landau to all my family and friends.

I’ve been going to Dr. Biller for almost 8 years now. I moved from another city having had a lot of work done on my teeth, so when I moved to Forest Hills I was concerned about finding a dentist who really knew what he was doing. It was clear on my first visit that Dr. Biller is expert, and he is kind. Dr. Landau performed an implant for me, and it was a smooth, easy process. I really like everyone in that office. I see that two reviewers here had negative experiences with someone at the front desk, but that runs counter to every experience I’ve had there. Sheila, who is usually at the front desk when I’m there, has always been very pleasant to me. In fact, I have recommended Gentle Touch to two of my friends, and they are very happy going there.

I was reading the comments and decided to call to find out how much will be teeth cleaning to pay out of pocket. And yes, you were right. I called today at 4:46 pm and the woman was rude. I asked about the price of teeth cleaning and she told me that I have to do a check up and X-​rays. I told her that I have my dentist and I have X-​rays already. I can bring it to them, she said that she doesn’t need X-​rays outside. «You have to have a check up with out dr» she forced me to make an appointment tomorrow. I explained her that I have to have an appointment on June but she force me to have an appointment tomorrow only. I was disappointed.

This review is more about the customer service and not the dentist. I called up Gentle Touch Dental Care because I needed to find a local dentist. The lady that answered the phone was a little sarcastic in my responses to certain question (which was a little weird to me) however, despite that I went ahead and made the appointment anyway. I was told that I can fill out the forms online and bring them in to speed up the process. The day of the appointment I called to let them know that I was running about 5 minutes late. I was asked «did I print out the forms online.» I responded «no because my printer was not working.» She proceeded to lecture me about how late I was going to be since I didn’t fill out the forms and that I should have come earlier, and everyone has emergencies, etc. Now if I indicate I am running late, then it is for a specific reason. I felt like she was way out of line and very condescending. As a result I told her to cancel the appointment and I will take my business elsewhere.
It’s a shame I didn’t get to actually see the dentist, due to the attitude of the person at the front desk. I only hope she is not like this with everyone.

I’ve been going to Dr. Biller since I was 16 and am now into my 40’s. When I went to school in Florida, I visited a dentist who took one look at my fillings and asked who put them in. When I told him he said, «Well, he did a really good job. Very conservative.» That was enough for me. When I returned to New York I immediately went back to Dr. Biller and I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

I will admit I am one of those strange people who doesn’t really mind going to the dentist. However, even with that trait, I have never found a more wonderful dentist office. All of the staff, from the front desk to the hygienist (Cristina), to Dr. Landau himself, have been nothing but friendly, prompt, and clear after several visits for cleanings and some light work.
I have had problems in the past with needing many needles worth of anesthetic before dental work, yet Dr. Landau managed to do it with just one (and I barely felt the injections!). The work he did in reconstructing a tooth with an old filling that needed to be replaced was wonderful — it looks and feels better than it has since the original work was done. And Cristina’s cleaning sessions are quick but thorough, plus she’s friendly and reassuring the whole time. I’m so glad to have found them on the first try in my new neighborhood!

The best dental group by far. I have been a patient since 1998 and I would not think of changing. Dr Biller and Dr Landau are distinguished professionals who continue to be innovative in their approach to dentistry. They will always point out multiple solutions to any problem and take in to consideration every individuals circumstances. The staff is friendly and accessible. Procedures are generally pain free and are done professionally. You will be Very satisfied.

I chose Gentle Touch because they were near my subway stop, but my experiences with them have been so great I’ve kept them even since I moved out of the area. I’ve been a patient for three years and all of my experiences with either doctor or the dental hygienist have been positive. I feel like my examinations are thorough and the staff knows what they’re doing. My appointments don’t feel rushed. I’ve been happy with all of the work I’ve had done. I also have found that the office understands insurance very well, which is good because I’ve been frustrated with other medical offices when that hasn’t been the case.
I’m also pleased with the technology they have in the office. They have digital X-​rays, which I hadn’t seen before. I’ve already recommended them to friends in Queens without any hesitation.

A trip to the dentist is never fun. Having to keep one’s mouth open for a long period of time while people prod and poke at your teeth isn’t exactly fun (Unless a masochist).
Yet a dental office exists that does its best to defy the Marathon Man pain crazy dentist stereotype– Gentle Touch proved to be more than a name but an actual patient methodology!
I’ve had two check ups and cleaning here with both dentists– Dr. Biller and Landau. Both are exceptionally friendly and most importantly, gentle, while touring your mouth.
But today’s experience is what inspired a review and the 5th star.
I decided to bite the bullet and have my teeth whitened using the bright smile technique. From my initial call to set up the appointment to the final removal of the mouth guard, all staff members were extraordinarily kind, patient and concerned with my oral well being.
Bright Smile requires several 20 minute rounds of basically sitting still while a blue light shines on your mouth. I was asked repeatedly if I was ok, if i was experiencing any discomfort or burning. (None at all)
This was the rule for the 2 hours I was there and I was happy for the attention. (BrightSmile claims a 1 hour treatment but that’s not too realistic-​I was told ahead of time to expect a longer treatment.)
To add to the comfortable environment, they have WQXR, the classical station of the NY Times playing. So if the symphonic sounds of Mozart don’t relax you, what can?
Gentle Touch has been a reliable source for my dental and now aesthetic needs.
