Came in with my Sisster and we both got spray tanned by Julia, really good experience she did a really good job I feel nice and bronze, she’s very knowledgeable at what she does and that made me feel comfortable. Thank you

I’m so irritated with this place. Currently many of the tanning beds are broken so I wasn’t able to tan as usual. Which is none of the employees fault but made the trip there such a waste. But what really pissed me off is that they stopped providing cups to use the water cooler. Now you have to buy bottles of water. Of course there were none left. After tanning in the bronze level bed I was dying for a cup of water and couldn’t have any. I was ready to put my mouth under the water cooler spout n just squirted it straight in. How cheap and disgusting of them to stop providing their customers with free water. It’s a tanning salon. It’s expected that ppl will be dehydrated after 10 minutes in a hot box. Idiots.

Came in to beach bum to find that the place is under new management. Julia is the manager there and she took great care of my sister and I. She definitely knows her stuff. Very professional gives her honest opinion and recommendations and isn’t pushy at all. The staff is very respectful patient and makes you feel like a million bucks. The owners last time made you feel out of place and awkward. So this is a great change. I am so happy that Julia knows how to train her staff to keep such an awesome environment for customers. I am def going to be a regular here. Thank you Julia you’re the best!!!

I love this location the wait is never long, they have done a complete 360″ all new staff soo professional and friendly, the airbrush techs are all well trained vets no spots or streaks, open late and super clean … Julia is my fave always on top of everything explains every detail she rocks

I’ve been coming to this location for years, but within the last few months they have really improved. The beds are awesome. Always clean and a very large selection. They are always changing The bulbs so you get extra tan!!! The staff is so helpful and very kind. They also do a great airbrush. Very knowledgable and professional. They also having specials all the time so you know you will always get a good deal!

I have been coming to beach bum when there were about 4 locations total! and now they are at a larger space and although parking was better on 73rd and queens blvd I won’t hold it against you. I have seen staff come and go and come and go into mgmt I must say Jesi is the sweetest thing the place always smells amazing in the morning she’s polite and remembered me by name quickly I also love and well maybe this is my age showing but I love that it’s quiet in the morning I want to be able to relax and maybe catch a 15 minute nap not feel like I’m in a club because of the pounding blasting house music and now you can’t even adjust the volume. Anyway Jesi is great she remembers the room I like and I love the serenity of the mornings being quiet!

The best Beach Bum location! Every time I walk in there I am always greeted by friendly staff. The facility is always kept clean and the staff is always helpful. Julia is my personal favorite. She is so friendly & helps me with anything I need. She’s the one I go to when I need to buy any products because she knows what works best. I’ve brought several of my friends to this facility because I love it so much.

This is by far the best beach bum I’ve ever been too. They are the cleanest and most organized. I cannot begging to stress the cleanliness of this beach bum. Julia, the manager, is very helpful and understanding. All of the staff is pretty friendly. Overall this place has got good vibes.

This has got to be the best tanning salon in all of queens. The rooms are always tidy and clean, and the staff is super friendly. They definitely know how to train their employees. You walk in and you’re greeted with a smile. Everyone’s very informative on the products they sell. The fit wrap is amazing, so I totally recommend it.

This location is by far the best ! I travel a lot through the city and have gone to all locations, but the forest hills location is the friendliest staff by far, the beds are always clean and always has a fresh towel unlike other locations ! The bathroom is always clean as well. And the staff is good not to pushy on selling there products but can sell I have bought :) didn’t feel pressured to :) !!! Oh and big plus is there water color so thankful for that !!!

They never honored my Groupon. Called corporate– they never returned my call. Been going to Beach Bum for over 10 years… super sad to say I will not be returning… no more 24 hours and staff is awful (attitude and can’t be bothered) I now go to Ibiza Tanning — the place is clean and staff stayed late for the couple of times they were just about to close. They are located in the Atlas Mall (free and easy parking is another big plus for me)
I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH IBIZA TANNING! I never even gave them a rating on Unilocal.

Giving them 2 stars because they do have good beds, but the staff is NOT friendly, almost like they are doing you a favor, they got super cheap and don’t even give out goggles claiming it’s due to health department violation, and the floor in the rooms is disgusting: vacuum/​wash those matts for Pete’s sake, people stand barefoot on them! The bathroom is never clean: always either missing soap or paper towels. It’s like no one gives a damn, place just exists because no other tanning salons are around. And all the problems are easily fixed too. What a shame.
