It turns out that going and getting a lift gate and putting it on myself was not actually very good advice. It is a much more complicated replacement than they first indicated. So I went back to them after securing a lift gate from a wrecking yard and requested that they put it on for me. The wrecking yard delivered it to them and they did the repair. It was at a decent cost, but they told me at the time of the repair that I should’ve had THEM get the lift gate from the wrecking yard because they could’ve gotten it for a few hundred dollars cheaper. So yeah if they had told me that in the first place it would’ve saved me a lot of money.
