Dr. Vaughan understands that the selection of an Oral Surgeon and Dental Implant Surgeon is an extremely important decision for both the surgery patient and the referring dentist. As such, he strives to provide each of his patients with both personalized attention and surgical excellence.

Dr. Vaughan and his team are A-​MAZING! I don’t even know where to start. 1). Location is great (right off the 241). 2). Dr Vaughan was so nice and was very patient with me as I had A LOT of questions (fears). 3). Dr Vaughan’s team is so nice, also very patient and helped me figure out my insurance (what my portion is etc). 4). All of my apprehension (did I mention I’m a big ol’ chicken???) has been laid to rest. I know I’m good hands.

Where do I start, first I have put having my wisdom teeth pulled for the last 18 years due to fear. I met Dr Vaughan about a year ago, he was very kind and gentle and explained everything in a normal manner. His office staff is beyond amazing– they are extremely friendly and accommodating. Now like I said due to fear I have put this off for a long time, I finally couldn’t wait any longer, I came in on Friday filled with fear and all the horror stories I had been told. I was completely wrong. Dr Vaughan is a amazing and skilled surgeon. I had all 4 of my teeth pulled — didn’t feel a thing and there is no pain and no swelling or bruises. He followed up that same night after my surgery and it’s been 2 days and I feel great– I haven’t had to take any pain meds. He and his staff truly care about you and don’t try to up sell you at all. Now reading the other review about how expensive he is, was completely wrong– I don’t have dental insurance and his pricing was well below what I had been quoted by others — I was under full IV sedation and had 4 wisdom teeth removed, they did offer help to pay had I needed it. I can’t thank you enough for everything.

I had a really good experience with Dr. Vaughan and his entire staff. They are very detail oriented and have a sincere desire to help and care for you. On the front end of the process, they did a great job checking out all the insurance requirements and making sure everything was covered. The follow-​up was terrific and I’d be happy to go back.

I had to have a wisdom tooth removed so my dentist Dana Roberts (who I found on Unilocal and is awesome) referred me to Dr Vaughan. He and his staff are very nice and knowledgeable and believe it or not there was no pain! The extraction took less than 15 minutes. I would recommend him most highly.

I had a great experience with my wisdom teeth removal with Dr. Vaughan. I was referred by my dentist, who is next door — Dr. Roberts (SHE IS AMAZING!). I trust everything she says, and I know she is recommending him based on merit and not simply based that he is next door.
Anyways, I was petrified about getting my wisdom teeth out. I am the type of person who faints when getting blood work. The whole staff was very nurturing about this and made me feel at ease. When I met Dr. Vaughan, I was even more relaxed. We worked out a plan where I would take an anti-​anxiety before the surgery. This was my first time going under, so I was very freaked out. I had to have laughing gas just to get the IV in! But once that was done, I woke up out of it, but pain free. I followed all of the instructions given by Dr. Vaughan and honestly, did not feel any pain. I have heard horror stories from family members about this pain being the worst they have experienced, and I was braced for the worst. So, I was very happy that although I felt tired from the anesthetic, there was no pain ever from the actual site of the wisdom teeth.
I went in for my check-​up, and everything was healing great! I am so happy about my experience, and would definitely recommend Dr. Vaughan for your oral surgery needs.

Cost was very high. Estimate by the time they drag it out with constant billing expect 5,000 on something that should be 2500 elseware.
refused to quote cost until after consultation done, they made it seem like they were planing to put man on the moon. Said initial consultation would take one hour. Making it seem I would talk to the doctor for one hour. NO, one hour to spend filling out forms so they can chase after you even though cash to be paid on day of procedure. then an xray to be done again even though I already have copies in digital form already.

I went to Dr. Vaughan for a bad root canal that needed to be extracted and prepped for an implant. The consultation was very professional and I did not at all feel rushed. He took the time to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions. On 4÷25÷14 I had the extraction done and everything went very well and I received a call from him later on that evening so he can see how I was doing. I would highly recommend Dr. Vaughn to patients who are fearful of dental procedures and want great service.

I had a tooth extracted by Dr. Vaughan, and so did my wife. Both of us were fully satisfied with Dr. Vaughan. He is a nice guy and very skilled. His office staff were all quite professional. My only complaint is that his fees are high and they bill for everything they can.

Extractions are probably one of my biggest fears (next to root canals) when it comes to visiting oral surgeons/​dentists. Today I had to have 3 of my teeth extracted. All of Dr Vaughn’s staff were very friendly and extremely professional. They took the time to explain every detail of the procedure and the costs. After discussing everything, I decided to have the procedure done the same day. Within an hour I was out like a light and woke up pain free. His staff went the extra mile and called my wife to make sure she was going to be in to drive me home, even though I insisted I would be okay to drive myself home. (Definitely was not the case!)
Usually a few hours after having an extraction done, I’ve always experienced throbbing unbearable pains. That was not the case at all this time. On top of a great experience, Dr Vaughn personally called and sent me a text to check up on me to make sure I was doing ok. This is the very definition of what amazing customer service is. You, sir, have gained a new patient for life. Cannot recommend enough!

Went back for my implant last week. The whole procedure including the Pre-​op and post-​op were extremely professional. Healing took only 48h. Only needed to take some pain killer. Can highly recommend Dr. Vaughan!

Dr. Vaughan extracted my wisdom teeth and to say he did an excellent job is an understatement. I always had a lot of fear about getting my wisdom teeth extracted and waited until I was almost 30 to do it. Dr. Vaughan is the most skilled oral surgeon in orange county & he made my experience comfortable, quick and my recovery was completely pain free. Highly recommended and all the family members I have referred feel the same way. You are in good hands with Dr. Vaughan!

Super scared about getting my teeth pulled, I think everyone can agree that it just doesn’t sound like a very fun experience.
Well I’d love To say that I was there this morning @ 8:00am, they started me on nitrous, which really helped me with my fear of needles. They let the nitrous take effect and then started the IV and 2 seconds later, I was awake with all the teeth gone.
Obviously I’m home now, feeling fantastic, ive taken a few days off of work, but I can not stress enough how great of my experience was with him and his amazing staff…

If I ever, for any reason, need more OS, I know where to go and who to send people to!

I had a very difficult time finding an oral surgeon that would help me! My sister with special needs was staying with me for an extended period of time. She had a tooth that was giving her terrible pain. Because she has special needs and medical problems we were turned away from at least 20 offices in the area. Dr. Vaughan was not only willing, but also very helpful. They got us right in and the staff was so helpful and friendly. The procedure went very well, and we really appreciated the follow up attention that was given to us! I drove from Yorba Linda to see Dr. Vaughan, and I would do it again in a heartbeat next time I need an oral surgeon!

After consulting with two internal medicine MDs, and ENT, an a Maxofacial Surgeon, I saw Dr. Vaughan re a «bump» on the roof of my mouth. The bump had been there approximately two years and I had been told by all the other physicians that it was «nothing:. Dr. Vaughan was immediately concerned and told me what he thought it was and immediately removed it and had a biopsy performed. The biopsy showed that Dr. Vaughan was 100% accurate. It was a malignant tumor. I will be forever grateful for the knowledge and caring that Dr. Vaughan and his office staff showed throughout this whole process. I hate to think of what could have happened had i not seen Dr. Vaughan. All of Dr. Vaughan’s staff were helpful and caring. Cindy was especially helpful in working with my insurance company and was instrumental in obtaining approval from the insurance company for some other crucial medical tests.

I took my 17 year old son to get his 4 wisdom teeth out. Dr Vaughan and all his staff were amazing. After the surgery my son had no swelling, no bruise. I can not tell you enough how please I was with the whole experience. There were no hidden fees, the give you an itemized paper as far as how much it costs. Work with your insurance company to get that part done. I was so please, on our post opt appointment took some sweet from French bakery and treated the whole office for a job well done.

I was referred to Dr. Vaughan for wisdom teeth extraction from my dentist, Dr. Chien. I was very nervous about the procedure because Dr. Chien, who is an excellent dentist, said my wisdom teeth were growing in a way that’s very difficult to extract, and he couldn’t do it himself. Everyone hates going to the dentist, but going to a new dental surgeon, for a procedure that my excellent dentist said he cannot perform… boy I was nervous! I went for a consultation before the procedure, Dr. Vaughan and his staff were very friendly and thorough in explaining everything to me, from the pre-​op preparation, to the procedure, different types of anesthesia, post-​op care, medication, payment options, etc. I was very much at ease by the date of the actual extraction procedure. Everything went smoothly and they even called me a couple days after to check up.
