I’m back @the SSO. I told them that I was given an appt. for saturday (they were closed). I was told by the other clerk or officer that they do overtime. How the heck am I going to know that, when nobody called me on my 9 am phone appointment which I was waiting for all day.
This rating is only for customer service. I do not know how good their knowledge is about SS.

Horrible! I waiting for 4 hours and half why?! Two hours to window then lady decide send me go 11 room and said soon my turn. Actually more than 2 hours more waiting. It matter if I’m deaf. They don’t doing great job.
Also, number tickets isn’t order. It make people confused they think they missed called. They did little bit argue about ticket.

I guess I should begin with my first attempt at having a replacement SS card issued. All your forms are available online and can be filled out using PDF. Arrive at site and make line to be issued a call number just like at DMV.
This particular location runs 5 series of numbers and offers 8 windows. It’s not very big inside, in fact it’s well designed to move effortlessly to ease the pain.
My first attempt unknowingly I presented a expired US Passport a clerk failed to see and of course myself. I was given a call number and sat for my number to be called and after a 90 minute wait, I present my documents to only get turned away. The second clerk explained my son’s passport was expired and offered to keep my call number open until end of day to return with proper forms. I didn’t make a stink about it and walked out with a smile.
Fast forward and I’m back at 2^nd attempt with a certified birth certificate, school ID and get issued my call number, put on my dr beats and listen to Lenny Kravitz setlist. I’m feeling pretty good and probably after 20 minutes my number is flashing on monitor that got me by surprise because I waited longer to get issued a call number.
Polite employee takes my docs, asked a few questions that felt like I was entering the country and checking in with customs to declare my nationality. Hands me a receipt with a two week lead time via US mail and I am finally done with this office and don’t plan on returning anytime soon.

Located inside a commercial retail property with several businesses and ample parking.
My initial thought of dealing with this department was negative because I didn’t have current identification ànd I blame myself on that part and really can’t blame someone else for not seeing that the first time I came. However, upon my 2^nd attempt with correct documents, the entire process went smooth and fast. I recommend you cross your T’s and dot your letter I to avoid any extra trips.

This Place Sucks i have been waiting to see someone for my name changed for almost 2 hours i went to window 1 to see how much longer and the guy tells me im not even on the list of numbers to be seen so he checked me in and says i have about 4 people ahead of me 45 minutes pass and im still waiting on my number to be called the employees here like to take their sweet time to do things i see people back there walking around joking around I needed to change my last name since I just recently got married which is not a lot to be done online and to do it over the mail I have to send them my drivers license which means that I would be out of the driver license until I get my stuff back it’s just a total inconvenience hopefully I never have to get divorce or remarried lol

There were at least 25 people OUTSIDE the building waiting in line. The waiting room was full as well. Luckily, I had an appointment so I only waited about 2 minutes before I was called back. I am very impressed with the professionalism and kindness of Mrs. Pimental. She was knowledgeable and efficient… I was in and out in under 10 minutes!

Arrived at this social security office at 11:45am on a Monday to change my last name, left two hours later at 1:45pm with name changed and new SS card on its way in the mail. The waiting area itself is clean and the employees are efficient, but there are many people waiting. In retrospect I would have made an appointment by calling in ahead of time. Not sure exactly how the appointment process works, or whether appointments are available for name changes.
