So thankful we found this company. They did amazing work, and transformed our house. Butch and Jonny were the main guys here, they were so sweet. Very kind to my 3 year old who was so curious about what was going on. I really appreciated seeing the same faces everyday. They were so understanding of my design choices and Jonny would consult with me as the process went on. Very reasonable pricing! You get what you pay for, and we don’t regret one cent that we paid. Excellent work, excellent staff.

Steve and his team did an excellent job painting the interior of my house (vaulted ceilings). They were very thorough and detailed. Steve was very helpful throughout the process. They even gave me tips and pointers on how to improve my own painting.

Found Steve Shook here on Unilocal.After all the good reviews I called for a quote. The phone was answered immediately and I set up an appointment. Steve arrived at my home — early— he was very personable and nice! He later emailed me a quote that was several hundred dollars less then two other painters I called. We set the appointment and Steve and his guys showed up promptly. Steve introduced his crew and showed them what they would be doing and told me that they would be done by 4;30 and he left. The men began working right away and were very nice, I felt completely comfortable with them. They painted our master bedroom, closet and master bathroom did and amazing job and were all cleaned up and ready to leave at 4;30! Will defiantly be using them again for any painting we need. Highly recommend!

We have a large older house that hadn’t had its exterior painted since the 60s. We had another bid that was $ 1000 more than Steve’s bid, plus was going to take longer. We are very glad we went with Steve Shook. His team were wonderful, addressing any concerns we had, taking in our nit-​picking, and even going above the job scope by helping us nail down some dangling cords. They repaired damaged stucco, scraped, sanded and primed all our wood (which was a LOT) and matched our existing wall color exactly. They are precise, considerate, polite and professional.
I have already given his name to FB friends and passed out his cards to neighbors. When we are ready to paint our wrought iron, we will be call Steve Shook again.

After interviewing 4 people, we decided on Steve who was comparable price-​wise to the others. We were sold on his friendly demeanor, professionalism, and customer service. He met with us twice before the start date and was very flexible when we had to push the start date back a few days due to my indecision over paint color.
His crew of five men came on the date and time as stated by Steve and they took the 4 days as promised. Every single painter we spoke to was very professional and Marty, the foreman, was great throughout the entire process. He listened to our concerns and would stop to ask us questions to make sure he got it right.
We appreciated that the last painter on the final day reminded us that we should call if we see anything that needs to be addressed, touched-​up, etc. We are in the middle of placing things back in their places and hanging up our artwork and so far, so good! If we do need to make that call, I feel comfortable knowing someone will come back to the house.
I passed Steve Shook’s information along to my parents who are now using this company to paint the exterior of their home (which is located in L.A. County, so he does travel), so obviously they come with my highest regard.

Steve is professionalism, from start to finish. They painted our two story home in the exact time-​frame stated, so we highly appreciated that. We even added some last minute painting projects and still stayed within the allotted time. We had an initial scheduling issue at first but no major issues in the final product. Good pricing too!

I’m a DIYer and I’ve never hired a painter before, but we’re getting ready to sell our house and I ran out of time with a long list of little things left to do! I hired Steve and his guys based on the reviews on Unilocal and I’m so happy I did. They installed trim, painted doors, walls, ceilings, inside and out. Steve matched my exterior paint color so accurately that they painted the bottom 10 feet of a 20 ft. high wall and even in the noonday sun you can’t tell where the new ends and the old begins — saved me a ton of money not having to paint the whole house and it looks so fresh and nice! It was a huge relief to have what would have taken me a month of weekends to do myself all done in one day. Thanks for the great job guys!

Steve Shook painted the compete interior of my home and did an outstanding job. Of my three estimates he was not the cheapest or most expensive but was willing to work with me given my budget. On the first day of painting Steve and his crew were on time and I was introduced to the foreman who would be present for the 5-​day job. Each morning his crew was on time and very professional. They were able to answer my questions and accommodate my requests. In regards to work quality, I could not be more impressed. I left a message and emailed on a Friday but no one got back to me til Monday. I figured they were busy and it was fine since they apologized for not getting back to me right away. Scheduled to meet with Steve at 3pm on a Friday to get a quote on painting our cabinets. Husband and I drove to the house we were buying and waited 3:00 — 3:20pm before calling him. Steve answered and said something came up so he couldn’t make it. I politely said thank you and we hung up. My husband on the other hand was pissed of for having to get our newborn daughter ready, drive there and wait for him when he wasn’t going to show up. It was so unprofessional to just blow us off like that and not let us know he wasn’t going to make it.

Steve and Anthony are very experienced. Steve showed up the same day I called and gave me a quote on painting my garage. The cost was very reasonable, the service was excellent and the paint job was superb. I would definitely use these guys again and I recommend this service to anyone.
