Dance Lessons With Ikhlas

My wife and I were to get married and wanted a nice first dance. We planned a destination wedding and decided to marry in Italy. We gave Ikhlas the song we wanted, which was an Andrea Bocelli song. He devised a beautiful choreography based on a Foxy.
Ikhlas was extremely warm, professional and displayed a lot of enthusiasm. He was very clear as an instructor and was very patient. He cared that we were happy with what he was developing and, in the end, made us and our guests very happy with the dance he created for us.

First time ever taking a professional dance lesson along with my wife. When we got to his studio we feel very relaxed as he was very welcoming.
We told him about our event and needed to perform a special dance that we are trying to do which was the Toy Story 3 ending dance with Jessie and Buzz Lightyear.
We took his 6 lessons package. We got into the dance immediately and he was very intuitive of the type of dance and how he was able to teach us the basics of the dance (mind you we’ve never done any of this before so please forgive us for butchering the names of the steps) he taught us the telemark, feather duster, promenade, bodafucco, spinning, paso doble and many types of steps which I don’t remember all that’s incorporated to be the Toy Story dance.
My wife and I had a very good time, even with constant mistakes of the dance in our part he was very patient and continue to teach us. In those trying times in our lessons that shows how much passion, love for dancing and patience for teaching that Ikhlas has.
With this experience we would endeavor to pursue future dance activities because of how enjoyable and how he has made this a fun and memorable experience.

Ikhlas you were absolutly amazing, we were a bit scared initially going into dance lessons, but you made us both feel very calm and relaxed about learning our first dance together. You made the experience fun and casual and we both really appreciated this. In the midst of our hectic wedding planning, your dance lessons were a nice/​fun break from it all, it gave us a chance to fall into eachothers arms and just laugh and enjoy our time together. Your lessons also taught us how to work together and allow eachother to depend on one another, i (rachael) personally learned to let my husband lead, not only in dancing but in aspects of our life, which im very glad we learned

Ikhlas is the best dance instructor I have come across. He is patient, works with you and your needs and makes lessons fun. I felt comfortable from the first lesson and was dancing after 30 minutes. I have recommended him to many people. If you are looking for outstanding dance instruction from a talented artist and teacher… then Ikhlas should be your top choice!

My first experience in ballroom was in a try-​it-​out-​for-​free class at UC Davis taught by Ikhlas. One of the most outstanding memories of my first impression of him was when he was teaching the leaders (mostly boys) how to dip their followers (all girls). I don’t remember exactly what dip he taught or how he taught the technic, but what I do remember is him saying, «If you’re going to fall, what you do is go straight down to your knees, you pull her into your arms, and protect her. You do not drop her.» Needless to say, I joined the class, and eventually joined the dance team at the studio he taught at at the time.
Ikhlas is elegant on the dance floor and off. He has a way of making you feel special, like a specific individual, rather than «just another student,» and he has a genuinely good personality.
If you’re wondering about his dance skills, all I can say is that you won’t be disappointed. He can be masculine, more masculine than any other male teacher I’ve come across. He can also be elegant in a more delicate, feminine way, so much that it can trump almost all of the female dance teachers I’ve come across, too.
Ikhlas is a great dancer, he teaches dance in a way that’s easy to understand and learn, and he’s a great person altogether. To bring it all together, Ikhlas is an amazing teacher.
