Pizza and Grinders and so much more… Steaks, Seafood, Past, Burgers and a Soup and Salad Bar also Friday fish fry and Sunday brunch all inside the historic Relaw Plaza Hotel.
First we tried Trinity, which was closed at lunchtime, no information or explanation given. Expectations were low coming in, but apparently not low enough. The bartender saw us walk up, but didn’t bother to interrupt his conversation. We stood in front of the hostess station, the two women at the station acted like they didn’t work there. It’s possible they didn’t, or that one didn’t. They were standing where the hostess should be, but refused to acknowledge us. We looked at a menu(I helped myself), I went to use the restroom and returned, we stood around for a bit, tried to get their attention, they actually turned away from us. The restaurant was open, we could see a White family finishing up, and it was 12:30, lunch time. The hostesses or women who were standing at the hostess station either refused to seat us(my conclusion), or weren’t actually working there(the Chief of Staff’s more generous theory). If they weren’t working there, I don’t know why the bartender or another worker didn’t move them away from the hostess station, and send someone who could seat us. Either way, we couldn’t get served there. I haven’t been snubbed like that in a long time, it doesn’t really matter if it was racist or just complete incompetence. It definitely wasn’t a case of being too busy to take care of us, most of the tables were empty.

Staff was very nice. Salad bar a bit lacking but what was there was good. I had the perch and it was ok but not great.
