SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service

Very honest, quick and fair! I came here to get my car smog checked and was able to go grab lunch and a drink at Coffee Republic while waiting. The gentleman working here were very nice, down to earth and friendly! Tony and Steve were awesome!

We have been customers at this location for over 5 years and always received great service, until today. The customer service was terrible, Tony was disrespectful to my 17 year old daughter who also heard staff talking disrespectfully about my husband as he tried to handle the issue over the phone. We will not go there again.

Wow, I’m absolutely floored at the amazing customer service we received, especially it being a holiday. Our car broke down & the Tow company said the issue with my vehicle could be fixed by the mechanics at SpeeDee & have me on the road the SAME day. I have to be honest, I was hesitant at first. I’ve always associated SpeeDee’s with oil changes & other simple jobs but not like what my car needed. Let me tell you I was oh so very wrong.
I have never experienced amazing customer service like the mechanics at SpeeDee’s. Morgan was very upfront with us & laid out how he was going to do the repair, the cost and the time. They are very affordable! He went out of his way to go to a shop to pick up a part that my vehicle needed. I was just floored when I heard that. They also put on cartoons for my daughter to watch & had coloring books to keep her occupied. I greatly appreciated the charging station as my phone was 1% battery when I got to the shop. The shop is located in a little shopping district so you can kill some time & grab a bite to eat.
Morgan & another associate stayed after the shop closed to finish the work on my vehicle. I cannot explain how thankful I was for their time. My family & I had just run a 10k that morning & lived over an hour away. Having us on the road & heading back home that day… we were overjoyed.
People always complain about the time it takes to fix their vehicles. But let me ask you, would you rather have the mechanic take their time to fix your car the right way to ensure that you don’t encounter any issues down the road that may snowball into larger ones. Or would you rather have a rushed job which may cost you a lot more down the road? Be mindful when it comes to cars. Don’t rate a place badly because they take their time fixing your car the right way.
I highly recommend them! Honest, personable mechanics, great location & affordable pricing… what more could you want?!

Great Customer service from Morgan!!! I was in & out in no time. Coming back again and the car looks nice and clean on the inside.

Love love love them!!! My check engine light came on a week after I changed my oil and the OWNER CAME TO MY HOUSE! Turns out to be a bad sensor!

This place has fast friendly service at a good price. Generally I can get in and out in less than 45 minutes, as opposed to half a day at repair stations. They passed the honesty test too. I asked for a change of air filter, forgetting it was just changed at my last trip to the dealer. They told me there was no need for an air filter change and deleted that from the bill. The people are easy to talk to. I dropped the car off, got some coffee and started to take a walk, but they called and said it was ready. Nice!

Took my car in for a smog certification. It did not pass because I had recently changed my battery and emissions data was cleared from the computer. They told me to drive it around to gather data. I came back and was good to go. But they charged me for a re-​test. An additional $ 29.99. If you think you might not pass for some reason, go elsewhere. There are smog shops who do free re-​tests. These guys will charge you unless they work on your car for you.

I’m really irritated that we brought our vehicle here to get smogged and after we waited for 40 minutes we were told to go elsewhere because they we expecting BAR inspectors and didn’t want a older vehicle in their shop during the inspectors visit. What a joke. I’ve been going here for years and although they NEVER fill my tires like they are supposed to I let it slide because they are usually friendly and have a good price. Disappointed and won’t be going back.
Edit: YOUR BUSINESS HAS SMOGGED MY TRUCK BEFORE AND NO MODIFICATIONS HAD BEEN ADDED SINCE THEN. ALSO NO YOUR SHOP DID NOT CHECK MY TIRE PRESSURE ON MY OTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE I STOPPED AT FIRESTONE ON THE WAY HOME AND THEY FILLED MY TIRES SO THAT MY TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WOULD TURN OFF. Thank you.

This place is okay if you have 1 – 3 hours to spare out of your day. We are approaching the hour mark and not sure how much longer. I overheard the couple next to me saying they’ve been waiting for almost 2 hours (theirs include some break/​filter stuff. I just need an oil change). I’ve gotten no updates or friendly reminder that they’re getting to my car soon. Totally disregarded.
I moved from Elk Grove and our go-​to place for oil changes was OilStop, and oh, how I’ve taken them for granted. At OilStop, we get to remain in our cars, they offer beverages, and then they work at lightning speed around my car with me IN IT. the whole process was a painless 10 – 20 minute process, at most. So while I’m sitting here waiting nearly an hour for what’s not anywhere near done, I’m regretting of not driving to Roseville, the nearest OilStop to me now.
I’m sorry, SpeeDee, but I don’t see the speed. On a brighter note, I did appreciate the guys explaining everything they did in the end.

John the manager is extremely efficient with his workers. Especially thomas. They made my experience worth while and remind me that there are good workers left in the world. Highly recommended! Keep up the great work guys! You run a tight ship! (:

Definitely recommend. Quick and super friendly. Also the only place open on Sunday. Had me in and out quickly.

This place was wonderful! I showed up 15 mins before they were leaving and they had a car in front of me, but they still did my oil change. And had great customer service! After I left, they noticed a small trail following my vehicle out and called me to come back just so they could double check everything. (It was just water from them cleaning it off) but that tells me they really stand by their work because I wouldn’t even have known. :) I will definitely be returning.

Very helpful, efficient, and friendly. They do more than oil changes so I will be back when I need additional car maintenance.

Beyond the worst experience I’ve ever had at an oil change place. No other cars there, took a hour and a half for a simple oil change. Two other cars came and went while I waited. I’ll just stick with the dealership next time.

I come to SpeeDee whenever I need an oil change. They are always friendly and very quick.

Great location off of Greenback & Folsom-​Auburn Blvd. in Folsom. They made it pretty easy for me, especially for the first time being here. Usually, I’m used to having to sit & wait in the car while other places change the oil, however SpeeDee lets you leave & they will call you when your car is ready, which is nice. It gives you time to walk on over to Coffee Republic.

****EDITED**** — So, I just got done paying. I went to check and see what was taking so long (hour and a half for an oil change). The gentleman said that they had to order the oil filter for my car, as it takes a special kind. Normally I would be fine with this, except for they didn’t ask if I wanted a new one. They still charged me for it but gave me $ 10 off, however the price was still more than what it would have been if I didn’t want it. He said that’s the best they could do. Anyway, I’m not upset — it probably had to be changed. I just think they should have asked, and lowered the price even more. I’ll still leave it as 5 stars since they were all friendly & helpful, but just be aware.

Great service. I took my car twice to this place for 2 different reasons and I was satisfied with the results. There was one time that I took my car a little past 6:00 pm (closing time) and they still took me in. The owner, Tony is very pleasant and customer oriented. John follows up with any issues and ensures that I am fully informed of the needed repairs. Would recommend to use them for car repair issues and smog related concerns. They test and repair as needed. Going to the smog n go stations are a waste of time and money especially if your car does not pass the test. These guys are a «one stop shop».

Great customer service from the very beginning. I called to ask for a price quote and how long of a wait it would be for an oil change and they were very polite and told me that if I came right now they could have it done in half and hour. When I pulled in they remembered that I had called and started my oil change right aways they were courteous and very speedy. I will be coming here again for future oil changes!
