So we were two days away from her due date and decided honestly more as a novelty to go and order the Prego pizza, and she had been craving pizza, you know two birds. So the evening we went there was a retirement party happening at the bar. We arrived around 9:40ishpm. The host sat us down at a booth 5 feet from the middle of the bar. We couldn’t hear each other speak. The restaurant was empty, how about you sit us as far away from the bar as humanly possible? When our serve came over he already knew and he was great our whole time there, I wish I would have gotten his name because he’s the only reason why I’m giving this two stars. He moved us took our order and we were served the Prego pizza in what felt like less than 10 minutes. I served my lady then myself and right off the bat I said this is cold. The meat toppings the veggies everything but the crust. In the booth next to us was I believe an employee on break and he went and told our server because he obviously heard me. Hey I’m from the Bronx and I’m already judging your pizza the second I order it so I was probably using my Bronx indoor voice. Our server came over addressed the issue and took the pizza back to warm it. It comes back and at best it’s luke warm so I’m done. I’m not going to embarrass or ruin the novelty night for the wifey so I shut up and eat Luke warm pizza. The pizza even if it were cooked correctly is mediocre at best. Not a pizza I would try again or recommend.

Really good pizza, especially since we don’t eat meat or cheese. They don’t skimp out on veggies, in quality and quantity, nor charge $ 2 extra for every topping when I ordered a family size make-my-own with 8 or 9 toppings. With tax, the fully-loaded, extra delicious-smelling, perfect crust veggie pie came to $ 32. We added vegan Italian sausage & the new Daiya mozzarella cheese from Safeway(though they DOOFFER vegan cheese here! Delish! I want to come back again not only for the pizza, but to enjoy some drinks and some of what looks like super yummy gelato and deserts

I must say I am very impressed with this location! Being pregnant, it is very hard to go out to eat. There are so many different foods I can not eat, and most restaurants can never tell you all the ingredients in their meals. I came here with my husband tonight, and asked our waitress about the cheese in the Mac and cheese(if it was pasteurized or not). Not only did she actually go and ask, both the restaurant manager and kitchen manager came to our table to explain the cheeses in the dish. Jeff(the manager) even came out with the wheel of cheeses to show me. This is definitely going above and beyond. And as a past restaurant manager myself, I can definitely appreciate this. The food was great, but the services was outstanding. I love a restaurant who cares about their customers!

I cannot say enough how much I LOVETHISPLACE! All the food they serve is AMAZINGLY good and anyone I have taken here has thought so also! Staff knows my face pretty good by now and will continue to be my favorite place for pasta. I have Celiac Disease and must eat gluten free. I was blown away by the gluten free menu items on the menu. They far surpass any other gluten free menu I have ever seen. Staff is quick, friendly and very accommodating to your needs. The food tastes excellent and I have never had a bad experience EVER! My favorites Gluten free Cajun Pasta(VERYSPICY and can be made with regular pasta also) with their Wente sauvignon cabernet. GOEATHERE, you wont be disappointed I promise!

This is more than a pizza palace. We had a very nice vegetable panini and salad. The Italian wedding soup and salad were also quite nice. Service was pleasant and competent and the ambiance was restful and conducive to conversation. Nice wines too. Definitely worth a repeat!

Went for the prego pizza as I am 39w. Unfortunately I did not go into labor over night, but am still eating left overs today and gonna give it at least two days. As of Monday I had NO progression, so it may take a little more than a few slices to get me going. However, I absolutely loved the atmosphere and restaurant! Waiter was extremely nice and the general manager even came over to wish us well with our expectant bundle of joy. Hoping another day of eating the pizza will get something started. Also the pizza was very good! My husband loved it! And for all the toppings it came with I really thought the price was fair.

I really like this restaurant. Service is always excellent, outdoor seating and food is always great! Try the black and white pizza it is awesome, as is the prego pizza! The beer line is not great. Could use some quality IPA’s. Overall outstanding!

Great for families. Our kids really like the build and make your own pizza. Good portions. Save room for dessert, they have home made gelato.

The staff listened to my requests of thin crust and clean cutter, so I was very pleased. I just got a simple cheese yet it was good. I have to say I prefer this over Dominicks pizza due to service and consistent food quality.

This place has such a great atmosphere! I always sit at the bar booths at lunch. I come here often for lunch because they are close to my office and also great food. I had not been in for probably about a month because I have been pretty busy, but as soon as I walked in, Mary, the bartender still knew my order like I was in yesterday. The service is great, very attentive and friendly. I have often had their salad, calamari, pizza, and pastas. I’ve never been disappointed. This is my favorite lunch spot!

I can only speak for the pizza, Skip’s dip and the beer. For the record, I make my own pizza from scratch including the dough and sauce. I also use whole milk Mozzarella and locally made Pepperoni. The local chains can’t compare like MM, RT or SH. However, Skipolini’s is in the top 2 pizzas that I’ve ever had. The other is in New York so let’s keep this out if it. If you order a Pepperoni and Sausage pizza here, they smother it with those toppings. They do NOT skimp on toppings. From the dough to the sauce to the toppings is hands down the best on the West Coast that I’ve had. It is expensive but you get what you pay for.

The review about the maggot in the salad kept me away from this place. When I finally decided to try it I opted to stay away from ordering salad. My gf’s meherita pizza was mediocre. My Cajun pasta was the same. They used two different types of mushrooms in my pasta. The button mushrooms were fine but there was some other weird kind used that was woody in texture that I had to spit and pick out of my dish. I also paid $ 5.99 to add prawns to my pasta and only got 3 prawns. The sangrias were good and nice to see on the menu that you could order a pitcher. The manager was looking at his phone for quite some time and was clearly pretty entertained by whatever he was looking at by his facial expressions and body language. Totally unprofessional! Do that stuff in your office not on the floor. There was a waitress with nothing to do sitting in the bar several booths down from us. She had a very loud voice and was extremely annoying to listen to go on and on. I think the bartender overhead my distaste with her volume and asked her to quiet down. At least somebody here is service minded. Not worth coming back in my opinion.

I would like to give this place 3 and a half stars, but since that’s not an option I decided to bump up instead of down for one reason… The play area outside! I have 2 young kids and my husband and I like to dine out frequently. These two things typically don’t work well together. We do not live in Folsom, but we were there doing family pictures recently. Afterward, we were ready to make the 30 minute drive home when we drove past a place with a play structure. A non fast food place! We were so excited to be able to eat decent food while the kids ran around crazy. To be honest, the food could be horrible and I would’ve still liked it because it entertained my kids, however, the food was pretty good. It’s a bit pricy in my opinion, especially the kids meals, but the taste and quality are good. The kids meals do not include a drink and for $ 8(I think it was around that) for a kids pizza, I was a bit taken aback by that. Prices for the regular menu are a little above what you would find at chilis or Applebee’s, but if you ask me, anything is better than Applebee’s so I’m willing to pay a bit more. They have a gelato case inside the restaurant and I love gelato so I wanted to try some. I was actually surprised with such a beautiful display of desserts inside that the server didn’t offer dessert. Instead I went inside to try it. It took forever for someone to help me, but it was worth the wait to get a taste of the gelato. Definitely worth a try. Especially if you have kids.

I have been here twice now and love it. The first time was during the late lunch hour – about 2pm. It was very quiet with few diners around. You would think that service would be lacking since it was a ‘down’ time – no way! Our server was friendly, on point, and helpful. We were so tired from a day of shopping at the outlets and she didn’t hesitate to suggest a couple items and encouraged us to sit back and relax. The second time we went was on a Saturday nite for dinner. Major busy. We were quoted 25 minutes to wait and 10 minutes later, a table became available in the bar area and we went for it. Again, a terrific server who was fast and friendly. Our food took a little bit to come out(but it was a busy nite!) but he made it a point to keep us informed and our drink refills coming. Food was terrific and afterwards when I went to wash my hands, the ladies room was picked up and clean. This is always a big thing with me to see if the bathrooms are kept clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend here!

My husband, friends and I like the bar area here. The food is good and there is a good selection of beer and wine. There’s a gelato booth. The staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. The happy hour is a good deal. We like the bar area because there are no children there — it’s the most peaceful part of the restaurant with a fireplace nearby and sports to watch, if we choose. Nice place to hang out, especially when cold outside.

The pizza is very tasty. A side note, it’s not advertised but the pizza is available as a thin crust. The Buffalo Prawn appetizer is almost a meal in itself. The wait staff are very attentive and their follow through is excellent. Keep up the great work!

Usually the food here is great and I would have given 4 stars at least but I had to slash that in half after the blunder they did with our to go order tonight. We had specifically ordered for dishes without meat and were served Cajun pasta with chicken on it! This was despite it being a very simple order and the confirming request being«no meat on any dishes». Consider this place for dine-in if possible as the people handling the phones for take-out obviously don’t care enough.

If you like good pizza and don’t mind kids then Skipolini’s is the place to be. They have patio seating with a TV for your sports viewing pleasure. They don’t allow dogs on the patio but they do allow them on the other side of the fence. So, we sit next to the fence and have our dog right next to us on the other side of the fence. They usually bring a bowl of watet out for him too. Happy hour is usually until 6pm but all night on Mondays! $ 2.00 off all drinks. Margs are normally $ 8.75 but are $ 6.75 on happy hour. Skipolini’s margaritas are no joke and well worth the $$. The pizza is made fresh and is cooked in a wood fired oven. This gives it a crispy chewy crust. The toppings are always fresh and the pizza is never greasy. This is my favorite pizza place! If you still have room after dinner they have a dessert case with different flavors of gelato and different types of desserts. I always feel like a kid in a candy shop when taking in all of the options. Service is friendly and attentive.

So I had a cup of wedding soup, a blackberry and vanilla Italian soda, and a handful of asiago garlic fries. The fries kind of pissed me off because they were so good. I mean, every time I order fries like this and expect them to be good, they end up being crappy— so I was expecting crappy– and got some damn good fries– and then got annoyed– I’m complicated like that sometimes. I think the wedding soup was good, but it was literally just a combination of a bunch of things I’ve never had before. I only ordered it because«old maid soup» wasn’t on the menu. But when I got to the bottom, I did that thing where I want to find a way to scrape up the last drop, but I want to be polite and not embarrass myself, so instead I spend the next ten minutes just staring at that last drop of soup and obsessing over it and not listening to a word that’s being said to me. Luckily I’m pretty so, no one cares. I saved the best for last though, both in writing and in real life. That Italian soda was the second or third best I’ve ever had. It was of course actually a very American Italian soda, with American whipped cream on top, and Torani syrup, but whatever else was in it worked. Yum. The bathrooms were clean and the service was outstanding. Why do I always refer to the bathrooms in plural? I only used the women’s restroom, just so we’re clear.

Now, I’m only reviewing the catering since I have never been inside the restaurant. But if the catering is anything like the restaurant, I don’t think I’ll be visiting anytime soon. The pizza was nothing«special», it seemed to me to be on par with anything you could get at a Pizza Hut, Round Table, or any other National chain. Typical dough, toppings and sauce(I’m guessing came out of a can). Oh yes ! I’m a pizza«snob» ! My feeling is, «if I’m going to cheat on eating healthy, it better be delicious.» Folsom has too many good choices for pizza to settle for«run-of-the-mill». If Skipollini’s expects to compete in this market, they’ll need to step-up their game.
