I am bummed that my update is the same as before. In early Nov 2015, I Took chalk paint class at Roost for $ 55 and its now been 3 months & still haven’t received the documentation we were promised. I’ve spoken to 2 others who also paid for the same class & they’ve not heard from Roost either and all share same regret. Shameful…

Thanks Lisa for responding! I’m sorry to hear that, and I wish you & your family well. We love your store, so we will definitely stop by again when in downtown Folsom!

This is such a cute shop, with great merchandise! The staff is helpful and friendly, and it’s a great place to take chalk paint classes. All of that being said, I am giving it only 3 stars because every time I try to go they are closed! The hours say they open at 11, but that’s rarely the case it seems. This is a place I drive from Sacramento to go to, so I just wish they were open during the posted hours.

Cutest little shop in old Folsom! I was allured by the yummy smelly candles. I would say, this place is like a mini anthropologie. It’s so cute and shabby! The shop owner is also very nice and sweet. I will definitely return if I come back to old Folsom!

Absolutely fell in love with this little shop on my recent visit to Folsom for a conference. I did not expect to stumble across such a darling little area, but Roost pulled me right in off the street. They’ve perfected the Paris flea market feeling and combined it with an immediate cozyness that’s truly unique. The merchandise ranges from soaps to scarves to vintage plates, furniture and posters. I picked up some decorative hooks for jewelry and a travel cosmetics case. There is just the right mix of antique goods and more modern, graphic items to keep you spotting new items every time you turn around. The owner is absolutely darling and made me feel very welcome as well. I will definitely be back to see their spring items!

I love The Roost! The owner, Lisa, is so sweet and truly loves her work. I know she also does painting classes. How cool is that?! I come in here every so often to smell their lovely candles and see what they have that I can’t live without. This shop has many items that are one of a kind. Wonderful gifts too. Be careful coming in because you will most likely find many things that you’ll like to buy! Definitely a store worth stopping in when strolling down Sutter Street!
