Nail Palazzo

I had very high hopes for this place! After reading the reviews I decided to bring my oldest daughter here to treat her to a pedicure before her graduation.
We were greeted promptly, and told where to take a seat.
I had a male nail tech– he never introduced himself to me.
I asked for the basic plus pedicure, which is said to include callus removal and heel
Scrub, as well as a salt scrub. I declined the salt scrub, as I have sensitive skin, but opted for this upgrade for the extra callus treatment.
First– he never adjusted my chair, or gave me instructions on how to do so. I am 5’10″, I was so close to him, it made me uncomfortable. (I finally figured out how to move it when he was massaging my legs)
Second– the callus removal and treatment for heels– that was a joke. They use a small yellow scrubber– no treatment solution at all! And no foot file. This was the biggest disappointment.
Third– when he finished with the massage, he used a partially warm towel to cover my legs, the. remove the oil and lotion from my toenails. The cold part was very cold– not soothing at all.
The last straw for me was that he left polish on my skin. I had to ask my daughters technician to remove it!
For him– I would have given 1 star.
The lady who helped my daughter was great. She was very happy with her service, although she also upgraded to the basic plus– and there is no «treatment» to the callus treatment. So I would have given her 3 stars, mostly because she was very friendly and did what my daughter asked, but
Neither technician used disposable pedicure tub liners. Which is a sanitation issue– but I didn’t notice until after my tub was drained.
Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Love this place! Definitely a hidden gem in the Folsom area. The staff are so friendly and the work they do is magnificent! I’ve never had such a beautiful gel manicure. Josh is also very nice and does wonderful designs, ask for him!

Ever time I go in there David in the front is very nice and gets you set up with someone very fast. I’ve had a few gel manicures and pedicure here and have been happy every time. The price is a little on the higher side, but you get the best gel polish that lasts. My French manicure lasted 3 weeks! Ask for Mimi she is the best! :)

The staff is unfriendly no greeting, they are pricey, their basic pedicures are so so everything is extra.

I have gone through dozens of nail salons in this general area to finally find one that has provided the best experience consistently. In the past I’ve gone to salons and had a great experience with one artist, but then by chance ended up with a different artist in later appointments, only to be disappointed.
At this salon, this is not an issue. Every artist I have worked with has been excellent, professional, very detail oriented, and obviously very talented. It’s wonderful to know that I can come in and get matched with any nail artist and expect the same top-​notch results.
I currently come here for fiberglass nails with gel polish and my go-​to artist is Jennifer. She is very detailed in her work and I love that she makes my nails strong enough that they don’t break when I work with my hands all day. I’ll post some photos of my manicures to follow!

I got a gift card for this place. Yea it was 40 min away, but man it was well worth it. I got a pedicure and my nail lady’s name was Mary. Girls, let me tell you. My Deluxe pedicure (the best seriously) lasted about 2 hrs. Mary was soooo detailed. I not once in my life has anyone take their time as much as she did. The massage was phenomenal. I just can go on and on. But seriously check this place out. I went when it wasn’t busy.
Thanks Mary! I will be back (even with a 40 min drive).

The best nail salon I’ve tried so far. My mani pedi lasted weeks and Lyly did quality work. She took her time. Lots of color choices, clean salon.

Love this place great people they do a great job sometimes they rush you but they great.

For the price that I paid, I expected better. The lady who did my nails was in too much of a hurry, she did not take her time and made it seem like she just wanted to be done before she started.
She told me not to do a coffin style on my
nails and wouldn’t listen to the color that I wanted either.
My nails came out smaller than I wanted and not in the shape that I wanted. I am very unsatisfied with my experience here.
Honestly, not worth the price that they charge and have had much better luck elsewhere.
Seriously reconsider going here before you do. Don’t waste your time or money.

Huge color selection, always clean, take their time. Jason is awesome! I get artificial nails, and all ten are always perfect. He is quick, but doesn’t rush. I’ve had several other people do my pedicures, great experience every time!

This place appeared nice at first until we got to my nails and it was a fraud. Let me start with the positive. The pedicures were amazing! I got the most expensive one which is called the Lemon Drop for $ 56. yes it was worth it! However, I asked for nails with a gel color over it. The pricing says it is $ 34 for Gel Nails and I ask for that. Now I was never told about the additional cost for the gel color top or shellac. However when I went to pay it cost $ 50! I asked why the huge jump on the price. I was told because I had a shellac and a medium length tip that it cost the extra $ 16. That my cousin who got coffin style nail was $ 50 too, because the shaping is harder. Now I was never told it would be additional for the length or shape. Most places do not ever charge for a different shape or length. That was completely a scam and untrue. I work and owner a business that has a spa inside the business and we do not ever mislead customers in prices and charge for additional millimeter in length. So if you would like a great pedicure come here, but anything else is a rip off and misleading. I did receive $ 20 back for the service but I did include a $ 30 tip for 4 people. It adds up to being $ 7.50 for a tip and additional $ 2.50 for the service that was taken off. Not worth it.

The few times I’ve been in before I have had good experiences. I just wanted to give a shout out to one of the employees there. I think her name is Lilly or Lynn… I cant quite remember, but I’m pretty sure it was Lilly…
Anyways she was super nice and did an amazing job on my gel nails! My pet peeve with gel nails is that people don’t get close to my cuticle so they end up looking grown out quickly, but she definitely didn’t do that. I don’t think I’ve ever been this pleased with my nails. Thanks again!

i actually had the WORST experience here. I came in as a walk in while it was really slow last friday afternoon and the girl looked almost annoyed to talk to me. i went in with my little cousin who just sat in the chair next to me. I came in for a gel and fill and the girl helping me wouldn’t say a word to me as i tried to make conversation.
she ended up cutting my finger a bit. (ouch).
To top it off, as she was finishing up my nails, the next appointment walked in and she told me to go and wash my hands (which only takes a few seconds). She then walked around the table to move my purse and shopping bags and toss it on the lap of my little cousin.
I really wish i got her name because i was so dissapointed with the service i was given. i didn’t even want to tip her at this point, but i did because she did a good job on my nails.

So I decided to give this place a try since my other nail salon was booked up.
Well the fact that she didn’t even say hello when she came up, did a poor job on my gel manicure, and massaged my hands for about 30 secs, I will not return just on those poor services. Then I got to the front to pay for the dude tell me it was $ 35!!! I questioned him because I couldn’t believe he was charging me so much. I have never paid over $ 25 for a gel manicure! So that will be the first and last time I go there. I will stick to Van Nails further off east bidwell as they do an amazing job, better price, and super friendly. Getting pampered is supposed to be an enjoyable experience and instead I left annoyed.

I paid $ 26 for acrylic nails. They did an ok job. After the fact I realized my nails on the inside were not filed properly.
I didn’t not enjoy the commentary between the lady doing my nails and her coworkers in a language I don’t understand. Sometimes you just know they are making comments about you. After every exchange between us she would say something then look back at me with a condescending smile. I’m not going to pay money to sit there and feel uncomfortable. It’s bad customer service and very rude!
Towards the end she put my nails in the dryer got up and just left. No thank you for coming and the tip (which in retrospect she shouldn’t have gotten).
Even as I was exiting and said goodbye to the two other ladies in the front. No response, no come again, have a good day. They were just as rude as the lady who did my nails. I’ve been to several places in Folsom and the ladies here, gave the worst customer service in town by far.

Awful pedicure! Massaged my shin while she was on the phone texting with the other hand. Broke contact many times to clip half my big toe nail off while the massage was suppose to be going on. Rushed us off when other clients sat down when there was other employees sitting around twittling their thumbs. Very poor service.
I thought I’d give them another chance PRAYING I wouldn’t have the same woman as last time and of course I got her… –_​_​– when I sat down there was a wet used towel on the station. Didnt sanitize the area and stopped what she was doing to start another woman’s nails. Put me at another station and sat the woman down in my spot without sanitizing anything. Disgusting way to run a business. Safe to say I’ll never go back.

I have been to Nail Palazzo twice and had a decent experience with Pedicure. I would not say the same for their Manicure though.
Positives:
1. Good Nail color selection
2. Organized & Clean
3. Big Plus: Very hygienic. The tools were sanitized and clean and so was the pedicure bowl. By observing around, I could tell that they clean the space really well after each mani/​pedi.
4. Great for large parties
5. Good pedicure.
Negatives:
1. Vague pricing. They charge $ 5 for callus removal which I believe is very standard in a pedicure. Make sure you understand the pricing at the counter and not on the chair because the nail technicians don’t give u enough time to read the chart and decide.
2. I got a gel manicure on my first visit and repeatedly asked the staff to have it done after finishing my pedicure. But they ignored my requests and kept a magazine on my lap and the infrared dryer. Mani/pedi’s are supposed to relax you not to twist your arms and hands just so you can be sent home earlier.
3. On my second visit, I went to remove the gel manicure and get the basic mani/​pedi done. My manicurist did a horrible job. She did not remove the gel color properly and ended up chipping at least 1 layer of my nails. This has never happened with me before. I think she was in a hurry and did not leave the acetone dipped cotton on my nails for long enough. Then she did not file my nails properly. My nails looked crooked and the edges were really really sharp. I had to repeatedly ask her to correct it but then gave up after a while. My finger nails are chipped everywhere bcos of the gel removal and with the sharp edges, I am practically carrying a weapon in my nails. :D

Huge! Good for groups! :)
3 sisters and 2 of our little girls wanted to get our nails done. They were nice enough to get all 5 of us chairs together and we got our meni & pedi. everything was great. They have a great big space that can accommodate many.
I only have a few minor issues… I don’t like when the ladies speak in another language to each other and laugh that is a bit distracting. Also counting and discussing tips in front of customers should be a no-​no for any business.

Went to get my nails done for an upcoming trip to Vegas. After telling me they couldn’t do the black and gold ombré design I asked for I settled for a black and hold French. The lady did a TERRIBLE HALF ASS JOB. I’ve never seen such a terrible excuse for a French manicure. This is AFTER my first idea was tossed out. Nail pallazo used to be where I would go to get my nails done but after this I can get a better job done closer to home. Or I could do it myself for free and I can guarantee it’d be 10x better then this. That’s the last time they’ll get my business. Only getting 2 stars cause my toenails were at least done decently. Now I’m on my way home to RE-​DO my nails.
