Mahalo Pool & Spa Supply

Stay away from the chain pool supply stores! If you want to take care of your pool correctly go to Mahalo. I have been a loyal customer for years, and I have never been disappointed. Recently I needed to replace a pump on my system. I got the pump and a lot of great advice and help from the owners. They have always been very helpful and accommodating. They’re a great local business.

Local business, unfortunately they don’t know their inventory. On several occasions I’ve called for a part and they say they have it, drive over there and they don’t. They could simply walk 10 feet and check if the part is actually there, instead they say they’ll order it. Hello? I could’ve easily ordered it, and cheaper online as well. Service is under par even compared to the teenager working Leslie pool supply. They are a good example of why Amazon Prime is taking over retail.

Great local family owned business that cares about their customers. We always get great service and solid advise. Never any pressure to break the bank on stuff we don’t need. I highly recommend Mahalo Pool Supply!

Today was the last day I set foot in this place. Came in for a second time for the same repair on my Polaris 280. Drive wheel assembly broke again after just having it repaired 2 weeks ago! The guy said
wasn’t repairable… that I had to replace the whole bottom of the sweep. Ok, how did he repair it the first time then??(I just bought this sweep one year ago mind you so it’s in good condition) so after a rude encounter, I walked out and called Leslie’s Pool supply, explained my situation and the guy said bring it on in, it’s an easy fix I bet… sure enough 3 hours later and the small 18 bucks I paid my sweep was up and running! I did ask the cost of a new sweep when I walked out of Mahola and Leslie’s is about 60 bucks cheaper too. Mahola lost what would have been a regular customer because my mom gave them business for many many years so I went here first. Guess the employee thought I was dumb enough to fall for his lies. I’m now questioning all the previous repairs made to older sweeps my elderly mother brought in for repairs! Have to say, I myself have used Leslie’s for years for my spa needs and will now give them all my pool business as well. Hope this helps future customers!

Been very helpful as we navigate through taking care of our first pool. Do not try to oversell you on chemicals like I’ve seen at another «chain» store in the area.

Mahalo has been like a second home to us since we bought a fixer-​upper with a scary green pool with tadpoles growing in it. They’re generous with free advice and everything they’ve told us has been spot-​on. They’ve saved us thousands of dollars by telling us how to fix problems ourselves rather than hire expensive pool professionals, and our pool is now in great shape because of their help. Thanks, Mahalo (though I guess that’s a bit redundant)!

Wow, Mahalo is the best. I was incredibly frustrated with my pool water; I almost gave up and hired a pool guy but decided to give it one more try. Wendy and Les give great advice and there is zero pressure to buy a bunch of chemicals that you probably don’t need. They helped get my pool right back to sparking status in no time. The clear advantage of Mahalo is the real world experience they have vs. going to a big pool supply company that hires people who really don’t know what they are talking about.

Highly, highly recommend. Having been to a nearby place where the people are rude as hell and gave awful service (Leslie’s), I can’t emphasize enough that Mahalo is MUCH, MUCH better! I am very happy with this place. The people are very knowledgeable and very nice. They are happy to explain how things work and made good recommendations.

If you are like me there are times when you put a value on an independently owned business. Sure you can go to home depot, leslies pool supply, walmart and other places to get your pool supplies. i recommend Mahalos for a lot of reasons but in the end it comes down to trusted service. The owners are very helpful and have a wealth of experience.
Shop for all of your pool needs. Also i love the Hawaiian feel and the donuts on the weekend.
