Description

Specialties

Our community’s own child-friendly coffeeshop, Java Mama Folsom, is a destination that will entertain the whole family. A place where adults can relax, enjoy a gourmet beverage, meet-up with friends or plug-in to free WiFi to get some work done while little ones explore, imagine and create in our age-specific designed play area. We are crafting espresso, coffee and tea beverages using gourmet beans from local fave — Chocolate Fish Roasters! In addition to our beverages, we also have an in-house baker, Jeremy, owner of Brown Bag Pastries, currently whipping together delicious scones and cookies. And, if that’s not enough, we’re serving Cronuts — that’s right, croissant doughnuts! We can’t wait to welcome you into our little, family-owned café. Cheers!

Meet the Business Owner

Rachel C.

Business Owner

Well Hello There! My name is Rachel and my husband (Calvert) and I moved here in 2004. We are enamored with our daughter, Chloe Rose, who was born in 2011. She is currently discovering the «terrific twos!»; and, I say that genuinely because we’re having SO MUCH FUN at this age (ask me about her first school performance and I will gladly show you her video!).

We are very fortunate to raise our family in such a beautiful community. Back in high school I had this silly dream of opening a coffee/tea house. Then in 2002, while I was at UCSB studying Communication and Psychology, my husband changed his major to Child Development. That was when my «dream» combined with his passion emerged the concept of what is now Java Mama Folsom!
