Folsom Lock & Key

The job was done well but very expensive. I was charged for call out, rekeying, new keys, etc. but then a labor charge on top of the work done. All in all over $ 250 for an hour’s work. When I had something similar done a couple of years earlier I was charged $ 100 by someone else.

I called Folsom Lock and Key as they were recommended by a manufacturer of the safe I had to change the combination. They made the appointment quickly, however he gave me a 3 hour window (9am to 12pm) for them to come out. At 12:45 I had not received any notification that they were going to be late or not come. I called them to see where they were, and the person told me that he would call his boss to see when he would come out. After 15 minutes I called them back and canceled the appointment. I don’t mind waiting and taking off work to get something done, but I moved all of my work duties to the afternoon in trust that they would be on time. I can not comment on the quality of their work and based on other reviews they seem to be great. I just wanted to make a comment that in this case they were not able to keep an appointment which is fine, but a call to reschedule or let me know they were going to be late is the right thing to do. My time has value as well.
I will give them another try on my next need for a locksmith and if better I will post that and update this post as well.

These guys are great. They are quick, responsive, and friendly. I needed a new set of keys and locks for my home. They gave me both great advice and service. When I was in the store, I saw they had quality safes, not the cheap safes form the box stores. I am looking to go buy a safe for my business from them.

Folsom Lock & Key is fantastic. They have let me into my car and home before when I was locked out. They are professional and quick.
