Fluffy Sno

I was very excited when I first realized Folsom has boba milk tea, after returning from college in a city with many boba shops. This is what initially led me to Fluffy Sno.
Fluffy Sno has since become one of my favorite places in Folsom to come for a tasty and sweet treat. They have shaved snow (both dairy and non-​dairy options), milk teas, blended coffees, Italian sodas, smoothies, and more! They also have Bahn Mi, which I have yet to try.
My favorite desserts are definitely the shaved snow (mango and watermelon) and the boba milk tea (honeydew and mango). I have not had shaved snow anywhere else, but Fluffy Sno seems to do it perfectly. The consistency is really unusual and it is fun to eat!

First time ever getting shaved snow and I thought it was just alright. I got the medium chocolate option which was around $ 6, a little pricey for me. The portion was actually decent since I couldn’t even completely finish the snow. The taste and texture of the snow was basically the same as ice cream. The interior is very small but cozy, and there is just 1 cashier there to attend to you. This place also serves vietnamese sandwiches as well as boba, making it stand out compared to other dessert shops. Overall just an average experience, but having various items other than snow does make it stand out.

Friendly owner and staff. Went here when they first opened and tried the shaved snow. Not its a treat for my entire family. Green milk teas are great also along with the fresh spring rolls. My only gripe would be the cost. I understand location is in Folsom but seems the Bahn Mi sandwiches prices get lower as your get closer to Sacramento. But if you looking for fresh flavor and cozy atmosphere, this is the place.

Had a pulled chicken sandwich and it was awesome! Had the Coconut milk tea and that was delicious too!

Will definitely come back again. It would be nice if they add avocado smoothies to menu.

The sno is awesome, always satisfied with it. The milk tea is always usually good but one time I went in they had changed the sugar syrup in it and it tasted sour. So I told the employee I wasn’t really into it and i wanted to trade it for another one because it wasn’t what it usually tasted like, and so he exchanged my old one (with a terrible attitude) and gave me and new one with ice filled to the top and not much tea in it.
He was annoyed that I said I wasn’t into the new sour taste and he repeatedly told me «it’s the new sugar» and I kept saying «okay, but I don’t like the new syrup»
so maybe next time you change the ingredients you should warn your customers?

price and portions for drinks, smoothies, and shaved ice are average… the same prices which you get from starbucks for a coffee

I don’t know but anything BUT SANDWICH. Worst one I ever had, gave me stomachache even I didn’t finish half of it. Not Fresh meat, weird taste, soft bread and expensive $ 6.50 for VNESE sandwich (I got one really good at DUC HUONG for $ 3.75)

I don’t know how to describe this place. I just can’t think of a word to say how bad it is here. At least the place is clean. I’ve given it two chances now and won’t be giving it a third.
Please do not think this is Vietnamese food. Not even close. I went there and had what they called a Bahn Mi. I had the BBQ pork one and the meat was fatty, tasted like it was fresh four days ago, and way over season. It tasted like bad Tandori chicken. The bread wasn’t toasted or even close to being the baguette style that should be used.
The snow drinks even taste bad. How do you mess up mixing powders? I wasn’t the only one that thought so. Another customer asked them to remake his because it ‘tasted funny’. I didn’t stick around long enough to see if the replacement was any better.
My sandwich ended up in the trash. I feel ripped off since they are $ 6.50 especially since you pay less than $ 4 at a real Vietnamese place.

First off– I had no idea Fluffy Sno (or fluffy snow) existed. Where have I been? I actually came in to try the banh mi sandwiches that I kept reading about on Unilocal.I have to admit that I was skeptical at first. Fluffy snow and Vietnamese sandwiches? Needless to say, I was not expecting the sandwich to be any good. However, I figured I would give it a shot. After all, –what other options do I have for Vietnamese food? Phở ABC? (mediocre at best).
I opted for the pulled pork sandwich with cucumbers, cilantro, and jalapeño’s. On banh mi sandwiches, I usually order without pickled carrots since I don’t like anything pickled. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful on it’s own, and the bread was nice and crunchy. However, there is one thing that I absolutely did not like about their sandwiches :
Fluffy Sno uses a butter/​pâté spread on their banh mi sandwiches. Their menu on the wall makes no mention of this «spread”– so I had no idea. I figured out quickly that I don’t like pâté. The consistency is like a thick paste, and it was competing for my attention while I was trying to enjoy the flavor profile of my sandwich. I would suggest ordering without pâté if you are unsure if you like it.
The fluffy sno is as good as it sounds .Who doesn’t like things that are fluffy? Fluffy sno is no exception –this stuff is addicting. We opted for the watermelon fluffy snow since it is one of the non –dairy options. That was nice of my wife to consider my lactose intolerance while ordering. What I liked most is that there was just enough flavor throughout without coming across as too syrupy.
Based on the fluffy snow alone — I would rate this place 5 stars. I am deducting 1 star for the following reasons :
1. The customer service was non-​existent. The girl up front showed very little patience while we were ordering. Every time we ordered an item, she would say «is that it»? In addition, she seemed annoyed that we had questions about the menu. The gentleman in the Warriors shirt didn’t acknowledge us at all during our visit. Is our business not appreciated?
2. Fluffy Sno doesn’t offer fountain drinks –only a limited selection of canned soda.
This place is firmly on my radar — now that I know how to order my sandwiches moving forward. Although I may regret it later– I will be back to try all flavors of fluffy snow (both the dairy and non-​dairy options).

This place has the healthiest and tastiest desserts. Lots of care go into their yummy home made ice-​cream-​like shaved snow. Nothing artificial here at all and no skimping on ingredients. Skip Cold Stone (even though it is rich and delicious there too) and come here for your health.
The owners are also local and give wonderful customer service!

Overall a disappointment. We were really hoping for good bahn mi in Folsom.

They had no alternative milks (soy, coconut, almond, etc) to accommodate allergies
Had a «non-​dairy» creamer but couldn’t or wouldn’t tell what ingredients it includes making it a non-​option for folks with allergies
We love to support local business but we will not be going back to Fluffy Sno.

I have only tried 3 things… the Thai Iced tea, which is great, the springrolls, which are surprisingly good, and the medallion sandwich which is pretty good as well. I am from the Bay Area so I am used to eating at Viet Cafes, and was very unimpressed with Folsom’s other Viet place.
They are on the right track here. If they offered a few more items or variations of what they do offer, I would give them 4 stars. I want pâté and Cha Loa sandwiches! I want pork and shrimp spring rolls, pâté chaud, eggrolls, chinese sausage!
The pricing is super high. In Little Saigon, I can get a foot long cha loa and pâté sandwich for under $ 3.50. $ 3.00 for 4 spring rolls. This place, I pay a little over $ 18.00 for spring rolls, sandwich and Thai Tea. I guess they can get away with it due to Folsom’s dismal Viet offerings, but I really hope they get some competition. It can only drive the prices down and hopefully make them offer more choices.

Had it not been for grouping we would’ve never known they had delicious sandwiches! Glad we found this place!
The pickles shallots and carrots gave just the right touch and freshness! The bread was soft, yet crispy on the outside.
We want to try the phở noodles! Next time!

Yeah for fluffy sno in Folsom. Fluffy sno is basically ‘shaved’ ice cream/‘snow.’ It’s milky, soft, fluffy, sweet.
The last time we were in, they were out of several of the flavors, and we had to wait, since the machines didn’t seem to be working. Bummer. When shaved snow is made well (we’re spoiled by the Bay Area), it’s really yummy!
These are decent, but a bit too sweet and inconsistent.
Having said that, if you’ve never tried it before, it’s really good. My kids love the bubble gum flavor. Very blue, but it’s actually pretty good. They were out of lychee, mango, strawberry, watermelon, and several other flavors we wanted to try. They do have non-​dairy options, again, when they’re available.
Décor needs to be updated and cleaned up a bit. Employees need to work and not chat w/​their friends or spend time on their computers/​phones.
Props for being willing to split an order (for the kids). Thank you!
Improve the quality and service, and will happily improve your rating. Would like to see the business stay in business though, so check it out if you haven’t tried it.

I am so happy I found this hidden gem in Folsom, their location is in such a bad place, (more advertising I recommend?) but once you find where it is, you“ll be going here more than once!
All I can say about this place is, fluffy sno, fluffy sno! Their fluffy sno is a must! Its like a blend of shaved ice and ice cream, it’s so different! It’s so creamy but flavorful, I recommend the cotton candy bubble gum sno, it is so light and airy! It tastes like ice cream but looks like a shaved snow, I don’t know much about their other items, one time I had one of their sandwiches and it needs improving, especially their lemonade (all lemon no sweet!) but, understandable since they are a pretty new place, but for their shaved sno’s I definitely recommend this place! You won’t find anything else like it in Folsom! And it’s Especially tasty during these high heats

This review is strictly for the Banh Mi sandwich I had today (06÷09÷15), and not for the very delicious looking desserts.
Today I had the chicken Banh Mi and it was good, but I’ve had better. Let’s start with the positive :
— Large portion
— Fresh ingredients
— Friendly & fast service
To me, where they fell short, was the meat. I had the chicken and they used a shredded rotisserie one. I prefer the grilled bird. The sauce was lacking flavor and «kick». I like a spicy Banh Mi with jalapeños and a «kickin’ sauce. I found one «lonely» jalapeño in my sandwich.
I’ll have to go up-​the-​road for my Vietnamese sandwich fix, but I can see myself coming back here to try the «goodies».

Yummy drinks… they have frozen yogurt, ice, boba drinks and bhan mi sandwiches. Disappointed that their flavored drinks such as strawberry milk «tea» aren’t actually made with tea, which is odd. But good deals here overall.

Wow! Definitely did not expect a dessert place like this to pop up in Folsom. While several shaved snow places have been established out in South Sac, it’s a pleasant surprise to see one out this way!
We came by one evening and gave their green tea flavor a shot. Not bad! The tea flavor was quite strong (not bland like at other places I’ve tried) and the texture was soft. The condensed milk drizzle on top gave it a nice sweetness as well. However, Fluffy Sno does not offer any kind of fresh fruit toppings, nor does it have many of the other usual options such as red bean. Since it is located in Folsom (as opposed to South Sac where there are a lot of Asian taste buds) I understand the need to cater to different clientele, but seriously — no fruit toppings? All you have as options are some popping jellies and mochi and what not. Meh. Big no no for me.
They also offer boba, which was pretty good and not overly sweet. Now I don’t have to venture out to downtown to get my boba fix!
I’m glad there is a dessert place like this in Folsom, since it’ll be more accessible for me. But only 3 stars, since it can’t compare to it’s South Sac and downtown counterparts.

The snow here is fluffy indeed.
Didn’t realize until our first visit that they not only serve shaved snow, but boba, smoothies, and banh mi too?! We opted out of sandwiches, however, as they seemed a little pricey at $ 8 a piece. The space is fairly small but has a cozy café feel.
In any case, we came to try their shaved snow, and snow is what we ordered! They only had medium and large sizes available (not sure if they just ran out of small cups for the day or what), so the boyfriend and I shared a medium green tea snow with condensed milk and mango poppers. One pro was no extra charge for toppings, especially since the medium snow itself was already ~$ 6 and didn’t even come in the cute colorful cup as advertised in pictures on Unilocal… it came in a basic styrofoam cup, and the toppings, though included for free, were not integrated well as they got mostly devoured before reaching the middle of the cup. The green tea flavor was also not bad, but nothing to write home about. Despite all this, we still agreed that the texture of the snow was well done and soft and flaky.
With such a wide variety of choices, a future visit may be warranted, but I would probably try a different flavor or one of their other menu offerings instead. Until then, keep it fluffy, Fluffy Sno!
