Nice person. First impression was awesome. After that never showed up on time and never texted back or answered our phone calls around expected time of arrival for service. I had enough and finally got ahold of him personally and he stated that we were «a side project.» we werent on his normal schedule and he was just doing what he could to help us out as a favor and «squeeze» us in. AS A FAVOR?! SQUEEZE US IN?! We thought we were receiving service from a business and we had signed up for the bronze package. We signed up for a weekly service not a «favor». I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS «business».

This man posted an ad on Craigslist looking for help. So I called him and he said he would pay me for helping him. (This was before I read the reviews) and he wasted one whole week of telling me we will meet at 7:30 am everyday. Yet at 7:30 he never gave me a location I would call and text him and hours later Beowulf tell me there’s no work. What a horrible person. I hope his business goes to hell. He doesn’t answer the phone. He barely responds to text. And I feel like he was going to set me up for failure. By having me take someone’s money. Fuvk him

I wish there was a way to give «no stars». Do not trust this guy— Nick, shady as they come.
Can this many people be so wrong???

Call ‘Nick’ about a fraudulent charge by his company and he refused to look in to the charge. I will be reporting this to the police since he allowed the charge and therefore received stollen goods. He is a thief! The stolen amount was $ 144.67 not exactly an amount to just right off.
UPDATE:
I tried to resolve this with Mr Chaffee. He charged my credit card 144.67 and still denied doing it after being shown proof and confirming that I am not a customer. His solution was to give me a number to a person’s cell phone in LA that doesn’t work. Ultimately I had to report him to the police for theft. I will also follow up and report this to the BBB and Angie’s list.

I wish i saw these reviews myself!!! These guys show up when they feel like it and only lasted 2 weeks with me. I paid for the full month up front which was a big mistake. They charge way more than the going rate for pool service and claim to be experts. They told my elderly dad he needed parts he didn’t need but wouldn’t tell me that of course. :) when I fired him he tried to begin a text message war with me after i asked him if he ever saw his Unilocal reviews… he called everyone « Unilocalers» …i guess he doesn’t realize the effect Unilocal has on his business. i may have lost $ 90 last month but his unprofessional bad attitude loses him 100s of thousands a year… everyone seems to have the same issue as i do… STAY AWAY!!!

Worst service ever! Came out gave me an estimate that was Wayover price I found out later then supposedly does the service and leaves my pool a disgusting shade somewhere between green and brown.
They will tell you anything that you will listen to to keep your money and not finish the job!

Scheduled 2 appointments to review pool and equipment and pool tech never showed up… also notice that Jared Ballard of 3^rd Generation Pool Service is also shown with this company… paid for monthly service via bank on line and noticing pool not being serviced as agreed.

Nicholas Chaffee is extremely unprofessional, unorganized, unresponsive and unable to meet performance promises. Beware of this so-​called business for all pool inpections…

If I could have posted zero stars, I would have. The owner of this company is unprofessional, unresponsive, arrogant, and should NOT be in business. In fact, I don’t know how he still IS in business. Our real estate agent had this company out to do a full pool inspection on a property we were buying. Dynamic Services lied to us and did not keep their promise to provide us with a timely, thorough pool report. Seriously beware…

Please, Please BEWARE of this Company (if you can call it that). It’s been the biggest headache and stress I’ve had in a very long time! I called «Nick» in May, made an appointment and it took him days to finally show up. When he did, it was at 10:00 p.m. and told me he had lights. He and his helper used their cell phones for light to clean the pool. Came back 11 days later for the weekly cleaning (by then it was green as they didn’t clean the filter the 1^st time) and had been 4 days over the scheduled cleaning. Nick said I needed a new filter/​pump. He ordered it. I paid for it up front. He promised it would be installed within the week. Excuse after excuse, no communication, telling me it would be «the next day» or even «maybe this afternoon». The day NEVER came. Finally, my son got involved and Nick must have listened to him because he showed up last night and installed the pump. I got up this morning to turn the water on and he had taken my «old» pump. I immediately called him and he stated that it was trashed. He had advised me when I ordered the new one to put the old one on Craig’s list as someone could fix it, or use it for parts. He had no right to take my property. All of a sudden this «trashed» pump showed up out of the blue and he delivered it back to my «porch» after I threatened him with Small Claims Court. I could go on & on but you get the idea! No communication, HORRIBLE customer service, no shows, no phone calls, you name it… STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY. Also, I would like to add, please read the 28 hidden posts at the bottom of this survey. Also, I’ve had to re-​enter this as it mystically disappeared! hummmmmmmm

DO NOT USE SERVICE! We have called and textyes… he still hasn’t responded. I just said i’m canceling. I said I don’t like how the pool looks. I paid 85 for him to look at equipment. The dirty filter should have be noticed if he did his job and he doesn’t give you a time. Even when they came to look at it… was not the day they said and they didn’t check in. Only when he wanted payment.

I met a Dynamic Pool technician at my house on Tuesday, June 12^th, 2012. He dismantled my pool motor and left it dismantled advising me he would return on Monday, June 18^th. He told me that a rotator needed to be repaired.
On Monday, June 18^th, I called the office (both numbers) two times and did not make contact with anyone, so I sent an email. I wanted to know when the technician would be returning to complete the work.
Later in the afternoon, I received a call from Ashley regarding my telephone message. I corrected her and told her I had sent an email and I was wondering when the technician would be arriving to finish the job.
Ashley advised of 1-​the repair work was more extensive then originally thought 2-​Nick was in and out of meetings all day and it was difficult to get a hold of you. She also told me that the best way to contact you was through texting (?). She told me she would contact him and have him call me back.
Three hours later, I called Ashley to find out what was going on. She did not have an answer. It was LATE Monday afternoon. I asked that she text you and have you call me.
By Wednesday morning, I hadn’t heard from anybody. My pool parts were still lying on my patio. This is 9 days after the technician left with my money and a verbal agreement to return on Monday.
Wednesday morning I called another pool repair company, he was at my house in 40 minutes. While he was at my house, Ashley calls me at work to let me know she just received my email (?)
I told her I sent the email on Monday. I reminded her that we had spoken two times on Monday and that I had requested that she have you call me. I told her that because I had not heard from you, I hired someone else to repair my pool and that he was currently at my house repairing my pool pump.
She then tells me that Nick had to leave town unexpectedly. Right at that moment I thought I had been scammed out of my money.
In the meantime, the repairman at my house called me at work to ask me what did the 1^st technician tell me. After I told him, he tells me that all the parts are there, he has cleaned some rocks out of my pump, fired it up, primed the filtering system and it is all working fine.
Not 15 minutes later, Nick Chaffe called me at work. He had me confused with another customer. He insisted that he had repaired the pool and that he had talked to my husband. I told you I was not married, he became irritated and said «then your signifcant other.»
I explained that he had me confused with someone else. He told me he were going to review his notes and get back to me.
I repeated most of my story and asked for money back. He told me if that were the case, returning my money would not be a problem
I sent an email confirming our conversation and asking that my money be returned to me.
I did not heard back from him.
I asked you one more time for him to return my money within 7 days of receipt of this letter or I will file a small claims suit against him.
He did not respond. In the meantime, I filed a small claims suit in an attempt to recover my money.
My subpoena for small claims was sent as a certified letter. Nick Chaffe refused to pick up my letter and the post office returned it to me.
I then paid the sheriff’s department to deliver my subpoena. After the 3^rd attempt by the sheriff, someone called from the Marsalla Street address and advised the sheriff that Nick Chaffe could not be reached at that address.
Nick Chaffe actually believes that he earned the $ 125.00 his technician walked out of my backyard with. It is position that a service call was made and nothing else was due. They just left my pool pump dismantled on my patio and walked away.

Dynamic Pool Services was the only company out of about 16 or so who called me back in a timely manner regarding repairs. Thanks again for your expertise and your time!!!

Dynamic Pool Services located in Folsom California provided us with extremely poor quality pool cleaning services. I contracted with Dynamic Pool Services to provide weekly pool cleaning for my home located in Citrus Heights, CA. During this time, Dynamic Pool Services was inconsistent with providing our weekly pool services. Every time I contacted the owner Nick, he gave me an excuse for his employees and assured me it would be taken care of. At one point in mid summer, the employees did not show up at all to service my pool for over a month. After confronting Nick about this situation, he denied that the pool had not been services even though the service logs had not been signed by his employees and he refused to refund the 30-​day payment he received. As a result of this situation, the pool began to turn green with algae. Nick’s solution to this problem was to have an employee dump a huge amount of chlorine into the pool making it toxic. My pool could not be used for two weeks after this. On top of that, Dynamic Pool Service did not consistently clean the basket and pool sweep which they were contracted to do. The most Dynamic Pool Service did was put chlorine tabs in my pool and leave. Due to the consistently poor quality of pool services we received from Dynamic Pool Services, we had to pay out of pocket to have the pool professionally serviced to bring it back up to par. Based on my experience, Dynamic Pool Services is a poorly run business with poor work ethics and poor quality customer support. This is a very inexperienced and poorly run business operation.

Dynamic pool service continued to change the day they were to service the pool without any notification, first it was Wednesdays? then Thursdays, then Tuesdays– and then they never informed us whether it had been serviced or not! We only knew it hadn’t been serviced for weeks when the pool turned green. Although we do have dogs and kept them locked in the house on the days there were to service the pool!
My daughter or husband are always home and no one even knocked on the door. Our prior pool service always signed a card that they had come and we never had problems w/​them they always came on Fridays. Unfortunately our prior service owner retired. I would not recommend this company. Highly unprofessional customer service received texts that said and I quote «like seriously» «how about you act like a human». I felt like I was dealing with a 12 year old.

We moved into a home in Folsom in 2010 and started using this company. They pointed out some items which needed to be fixed on the existing pool equipment and we agreed to have them fixed. After the fixes were made we discovered several additional, unauthorized items on the invoice. We disputed these amounts with Nick and he refused to remove the charges. Since then it has been a barrage of harassing telephone calls and voice mails demanding payment for the unauthorized charges. The owner even harrassed my family by coming to house uninvited in the evening hours demanding payment. Very scary.

This company has no word I called on Monday to schedule a pool inspection and because I live in San Francisco and the inspection is in Sacramento I asked if they could fit me in on that day the man was very nice but said they just couldn’t so I asked bout Saturday in the early afternoon since I have to travel a long way he said sure at 2pm and he was going to send me an email to confirm when I got the email there was no time or date for my apt so I replied I accept the price but I want to make sure that the inspection can be done Saturday 10/​15/​11at 2pm no one answered I called Friday to confirmed and was told that they had scheduled for the following Saturday I told them I couldn’t wait and could they fix the mistake again he was really nice said I will call you before noon to confirm that we can come out, at 130pm I called them again and asked he said well I’m waiting for confirmation from my boss but I’m sure we can fit you in i will call you before 5pm so my husband said let me speak with them so I can find out what is going on, he spoke with someone that told him the problem was that they don’t open Saturday’s so why didn’t anyone mentioned this to me and no one ever did, my husband asked him again if someone will be coming out to do the inspection he said everyone would be at the office at 5 and he would let us know then my, husband again asked should I call another company we really need this done he said no we are more than likely going to go but he had to wait til 5 to find out who would go at around 6pm my husband called again and was told sorry no we cannot go out to do your inspection this is awful they kept us hanging on until it was too late to get anyone else to come out this isn’t a game to us I’m sorry for anyone dealing with this company Unilocal won’t let me post this without giving then a star but know this –1star from me

I have a big issue with this company. His father Mike (Earth Dynamics poolscapes Inc.) put in our pool. and did a great job and was very happy with everything about it. And because of that Felt a bit obligated to go with his son Nicholas Chaffee (Dynamic Services)
He needs to change his name nothing was dynamic about the service.
Billing was 3.5 months Late. I’m still in dispute with him giving me service for the month of July. I paid and Canceled. But I am very unhappy with all aspects of the way he runs his business (it was a weekly service. chemical service) I had to go get the pool water tested and pay over $ 140 to shock and fix the pool myself. Bottom line is I strongly hated the service. And would never recommend them to anyone
