A solid lunch spot. I work pretty much around the corner, so I have hit this place for lunch several times. I have always been pleased with the food and the service. They have one of those«new fangled» soda machines which is pretty cool. The menu has a lot of options. The the most authentic type of food but it is very good. The location is clean and you can see they actively work at keeping it clean. The outside area is very nice. The parking is a bit tricky when busy. Luckily I can walk it. Overall a very good spot.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but find myself questioning whether or not I will remain a customer. Long story short, but the store charged our card on an order and also asked for payment when we picked up the order.(One person placed the order and I picked it up). The manager said he couldn’t cancel the credit card, but would have a cash refund waiting at the store it took two rips to get the refund since they were unexpectedly closed on Sunday. So… my money was there today. Would you expect something as a token of appreciation for being a customer and taking two hours out of my life to get my money?

I lived across the street from Dos Coyotes while in college at Davis, and haven’t found a better ranchero burrito since. The thing that seals the deal is the salsa bar: the green salsa is pure addiction material! Love the salads, burritos, nachos, and pretty much everything in between. Location is always a little on the cooler side indoors.

Very average. The food was overly salty. Brought it up to the manager on duty and asked why Roseville location is better tasting. He couldn’t answer. I rather drive to Roseville

Summary: The best chips and salsa in Folsom. Otherwise mediocre. Details: Their burritos and tacos half the time come out cold, but recently I have consistently had warm plates. They are stingy as hell with the chips but if you ask for more they will give you some. One time my plate literally had five chips on it. The chips are cold but the salsa selection is really good. Half the time my burritos have guacamole, disgusting to me, and other things that is not supposed to be in the ranchero, which is what I order.

Their shrimp burrito ruined me for all other burrito chains. Adiós Chipotle and Pollo Locos of the world. One burrito to rule them all.

Just was in there today and this place has some of the friendliest staff! Everyone was really kind and nice there, especially Kesley! I will definitely be back here again, I recommend this place to everyone!

If you’re looking for good Mexican food, the next step up would be Chipotle which really should say a lot about this place. I mean, you won’t get food poisoning, but the food itself tastes as though they threw together some boxed rice and beans with some canned vegetables and spritzed some fake lime juice on top, rolled it in some previously-frozen tortillas. I guess it’s food, but my white mother could make better burritos than this. On the flip side though, their service was good and the servers and register people were pleasant.

Dillon the manager is rude and over charged us. My son ordered a kids burrito with steak and no beans. They charge $ 3.50 for kids burrito and additional $ 3.0 for steak. He ate his burrito and wasn’t full so we gave him money to order another one so he did. So they charged us another $ 6.50 for a tiny kids burrito with no beans only this time we realized that his burrito had only beams and no steak. We called the manager to tell him both times my son’s kids burrito didn’t have any steak and we should either have the order corrected or have out $ 6 back. Dillon who was the manger said he couldn’t return our $ 6 because the food was eaten. So basically he called us a liar. We paid $ 6 for steak that we didn’t receive and was called liar. Terrible terrible experience for us after being a customer for so many years. The management should not put people like Dillon in charge.

Stopped by for a quick dinner with my husband before a show. Very friendly staff and the food was great. He had fish tacos(excellent) and I had green chili stew(chicken and potatoes) which was on their specials board. Mine was delicious, with a spicy broth. My only complaint is that it should have been called a soup instead of a stew. There was a lot of broth. Perhaps it’s what I think of when I think of stew, because the staff member who explained it to me did say he liked to strain it and put some of the ingredients into a tortilla(tasty) when he ate it. Let me be clear, I really liked the stew and will gladly have it again. You should give it a try… As a side note, I dropped my wallet while there. They found it and kept it secure until I could get it. Overall, a great meal, great price, and very nice staff.

I have always been a fan of Dos Coyotes. I appreciate that all the salsa, sauces and chips are made in house. The proteins and produce are always fresh. I love Bobbys Crunchy Tacos but today I mixed it up and ordered off the seasonal specialty menu. Got the Yolo Cranberry Burrito. It has chicken, cranberry salsa, avocado, rice, lettuce, habanero salsa and dawg sauce. The chicken had a perfect char flavor. The habanero and dawg sauce gave it a ton of heat while the cranberry salsa gave it a bit of tart. The avocado smoothed everything over. This burrito is a winner.

Let’s be clear — this is excellent fast food. It’s good-ish food and they do a nice job, friendly staff. If they want more than 3 stars, they need to get rid of that ridiculous soda machine, which slows everyone down and is mega-annoying. And they need to make the salsa spoons bigger. Are you trying to make it a slow process to spoon out some salsa? It takes four of five scoops to fill a small plastic salsa cup. And that high-tech soda machine is ridiculous. Watching people try to get soda is like watching my mom send an email.

We really loved this place. I got the tres tacos with shrimp, mahi mahi, and steak. I loved everything about my meal except the steak was a little chewy. I can only say good things about this place, from the service to the food, everything was spectacular. :) looking forward to returning.

We have been coming here for years. Mexican food here is economical and and great! Best of all they have a yummy salsa bar and u can just go and help yourself with mild, med or hot salsa. They also have special seasonal salsa that they make from scratch using seasonal fruits or seeds! A real treat! In the summer, I love their steak fajita salad. It has roasted veggies on top and slices of roasted jalapeños and slices of avocados! At the bottom of the salad, there lies a bed of warm refried beans. Salad is tossed with Coji cheese. They usually have this salad mid-summer and by mid-fall, it will be off the menu. It’s so delish !!

This place is solid. Good burritos and salads. Has some nice offerings if you are looking for something healthier. Does not fit the authentic model as it marches to the beat of its own drum but I find the word«authentic» is used too often as a litmus test. Good is good. I have had too much«so called» authentic Mexican food that is crap. And yes I have been to Mexico a dozen times and had home cooked Mexican food. Just as a point reference.

I love their salsa bar! If it wasn’t for their generous salsa bar this place would only be three stars for me. Their tacos are pretty good and they have some decent salads as well. Altough their salads are nothing close to being healthy. You need to ask for dressing on the side otherwise it’s drenched in dressing and they put all sorts of heavy fat items like cheese sour cream and avocado. I use to really be in love with their steak and chicken burritos but lately I’ve been finding that the burritos get supper soggy from all the salsa inside. The taste of their grilled steak and chicken tho is on point. It’s nice to know that they are doing well and expending. Can’t wait to try out their newest location in midtown. Quick and easy eats !

I’ve been here a dozen times, but finally am giving this place my review… I know far overdue! lol I’d just finished a 6 mile run/ruck march up at Folsom lake, and usually when I’m done it’s lunch time. And I always head here(can’t beat good food right). Whenever I come here, my go to meal is usually the spicy salmon burrito, but I decided that this time I’d try something new. So I decided to get the TRESTACOBASKET(*the website is out of date at there now have shrimp!) and I got pulled pork, Mahi Mahi, and shrimp as my 3 choices. The tacos were medium sized and came in double layer soft corn tortillas. Each one was prepared a little differently. The Mahi Mahi came with a white sauce, lettuce, purple cabbage, cheese and salsa. The other two came with the standard lettuce and cheese. While the 3 tacos were pared with the basic corn tortillas chips. If you’re like me, you can finish eat taco in about 4 – 5 large bites! The pulled pork taco definitely was my favorite, it had a drastically different taste compared to the shrimp and Mahi Mahi tacos. It was probably the smokiness in the pork. And it was the second of the three tacos eaten, the 1st being the shrimp taco.

I’ll be back. This is far from real Mexican food but the atmosphere and freshness of the food is enough. I ordered the paella burrito then topped it off with a few items from the fixings bar. The shrimp, mahi mahi and sausage were so tasty! The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable so unless you’re totally against corporate places then give it a try.

We sat down to chow down… First off, $ 24.00 for two quesadillas is pricey. Granted there was steak in both, and they were large. The dillas had meat… But dude, wth us the cheese? I’m serious. It was s tortilla with meat. Plus, no chips. That’s right. No chips. The service was fast… The server needed some training. She was perplexed as to which one of us wanted the ’ dilla. Ummm we ordered exactly the same exact thing. Rocket science at its finest. Overall, good food. Just be prepared to spend restaurant money in what feels like a fast food joint.

Great interior + good for groups/socializing. Unfortunately, food is really quite bland. For proper TexMex in the Folsom-area, I prefer Q’bole or Hacienda del Rio. I’ve ordered some of the chicken based dishes like the Wet Burrito, Chicken Tacos, etc. and chicken has been consistently bland(it also the same marinade in every dish, which can get boring). They grill the chicken well but what bothers me is that more than once, my chicken has had bone or cartilage in it… this should not be the case as it is a filling! I recently had the chicken tacos which only had two(underwhelming) ingredients: lettuce leaves and really thickly-shredded cheddar + moz cheese(the kind you find on a pizza :/). There was no onion, cilantro, no lemon on the side, or even any sauce. Chicken was nicely charred, but under-seasoned as I’ve usually experienced here. Luckily, they have a great and varied salsa bar so I literally doused my tacos with the various salsas. ~ If you are well-acquainted with Mexican food from SoCal or the Mission in SF, I would not recommend this place for food.
