Comcast Service Center

on 09/​09/​2015, i signed up for comcast’s triple play with a $ 500 gift card. I went through hell going through comcast’s customer service but finally i was told that my gift card was processed and will be mailed 12/​23/​2015. it’s already 01/​03/​2016 and still no gift card. i fulfilled my 3 month obligation and i shouldn’t go through hell again just to get it. The $ 500 gift card offer now sounds like a scam.

Same thing everyone else says. Always a lot of people in here and the service is slow. Bring a blanket and some rations and just camp out!

Way under staffed, only one tech and one assistant! And store full of people. For what they charge they should do a better job. FYI: ATT always has a full staff at stores.
30+ min wait — still waiting. Next time will have them send truck vs doing p/​u. Crazy

I don’t usually leave Unilocal reviews, but the customer service here was so bad I felt inclined to. However, given the overall rating of this store, a whopping 2 stars, I think it’s clear that I’m not the only one who felt this way.

OMG I went there this morning to drop off a friends boxes. Not if I tried could I have seen a more unorganized shop. The sign up sheet is in front of store and girl leaves her position to walk and call name. Helllllllo move sign up sheet up by you. Simple Process improvement. They place I thought was going to break out in a gang war because half the people didn’t even see the sheet to sign in. Asked to talk to Manager (Alvin Collins Jr.) I asked why they didn’t call someone in since it was so busy. He said he couldn’t do that. Some operations where you can’t call someone in. Another simple process to fix. This is what happens when city let companies like Comcast have a Monopoly in a city! Basically the customer services stinks! I asked for the head managers number he game me an Audrey Milligan Parrish (916−218−3850) of course when I called the number it said this number is NO LONGER Connected could of bet money on this! I am giving this place one star but there should be a place where you could put negative stars!!! Talk about a place that does not care about customer service. Here is my email address (

The people seem nice but the way this place is managed, the organization of customer service is the worst.
20 minutes per person – nobody for drop offs or billing…

Comcast has the worst customer service. The IRS and the DMV has better service than Comcast. If at all possible use someone else. I contacted Comcast about internet service and explained that my house does not have any cable running from the pole to the house. The agent assured me it wasn’t needed and I would have service within 2 days. So I canceled AT&T and ordered Comcast with the service date of 9 – 25. Then on 9 – 25 the modem arrives but does not work. I call Comcast and is told a Tech will have to come out and install cable. They will be here on 9 – 26 between 8 am & 8 pm. No one shows up or calls. On 9 – 27 I call Comcast to complain. When asked to speak with a supervisor, I am placed on hold for over 5 mins only to be told they will try and have a Tech out on the 1^st. I strongly recommended for your cable needs go somewhere else and boycott Comcast. They lie to get your business and then they treat you with such total disregard. I am a very unhappy customer.

Comcast service for phone and Internet is the worst I have ever experienced. every few months or so, we experience either phone or internet outages. Their customer service is beyond bad and they do not care about their customers. And when I say «they» I’m referring to the company as a whole not necessarily an individual employee … It’s very difficult to bypass their automated service and get anyone human actually on the phone but when i do, they are polite and do try to assist. I do not understand how a company with such a terrible reputation happens to stay in business. I’ve read other reviews and have spoken with multiple people and everyone I have spoken with complains bout their service. I feel like I’m being held hostage by Comcast because I don’t have much options to choose from when it comes to Internet and phone where I’m located. I understand that service outages can occur, but for it happen so frequently and then being unable to reach anyone to address the problems within reason is unacceptable. I just got off the phone with a human from Comcast to address an interent problem. It took me three days and 12 phone calls and multiple disconnects from Comcast before I was able to speak with a human. Comcast should be embarrassed.

I spent about 10 minutes at the counter talking with Michelle. She was arrogant, never smiled, and worst of all interrupted me THREE different times. She wouldn’t allow me to ask a question without assuming she knew what I was going to ask. After the 3^rd time I finally had to ask her to please let me finish my question before responding. Perhaps, Comcast should spend more time training the employees that represent their company. I will be calling and writing to the corporate office with my concerns.

I think people give this place a lot of 1 star reviews because well it’s Comcast and most of the time they’re not happy with their service or are canceling. BUT when you come in the reps here definitely try to help you to get what you need and I personally witnessed that if you think you are paying too much and they can’t offer you a lower rate, they tell you to call the number online since they offer the lowest rate possible. Anyways, when you go in, just remember that the customer service reps are human too.

Note: I’m reviewing this location as a service center, not Comcast as a whole. I came in and they had a sign-​in log, which was nice, so I could take a seat without losing my place in line. I needed to return some equipment and fix some irregularities on my bill. When it was my turn (after a 20 minute wait), the representative was cheerful and courteous. She accepted my equipment and helped to iron out the issues with my account. Hands down the best experience I’ve had with Comcast (online and over the phone is a nightmare). Now, about the wait. A lot of people waiting in line just left or were complaining about the wait. Grow up. The nearest Comcast is either Roseville or Sacramento. That means one tiny service location is serving half of the east Greater Sacramento region. There will be a handful of people there at any given time. Be respectful. Unless someone has done something that is rude, you shouldn’t be vicious or pernicious to the workers. That’s just common courtesy. I’ve dealt with Comcast in many circumstances, and I found the workers here to be kind and snappy at getting the job done.

Negative 20 Stars. i have been a Comcast customer for 32 days and have only had decent internet connection for 5 days. The rest of the time its going between crashing and barely working at all. Yes that’s 5 days out of 32. Then they charge me to have a service tech change modems that actually made it worse. Yet they are still charging me for full service and wont discount «Until we solve the problem.» Now they are telling me i cant cancel service… WOW

There needs to a new setting on Unilocal of NEGATIVE 5 STARS for such companies like Comcast. I was told by a retention sales rep when I called in to complain about my horrible Internet over a year ago. He offered me a great upgrade and said it was not a special or promo and was good to go. When I called in to ask about billing increase she said she had never heard of what I was on which frustrated me so much so when I asked about pricing for just Internet I was quoted 2 different prices by to sales reps almost $ 25 Dollars difference for the same service. That shows me they just make up pricing on the spot. I have complained to the FCC about this and will follow up with them. If anyone else has problems with them use link below.

Its comcast. Can’t be perfect but for comcast, this was a good experience. It wasn’t busy. The guy was so down to earth which is super rare. It means he understood my issue and did what he could to help me and get cheap service. Didn’t try to sell me things I didn’t want or need or run a routine on me. He even shared some laughs with my daughter and I. I left with my router and service already on at our apt and with the plan and price I wanted. Hassle free.

Comcast is by far the worst company I have ever worked with and that is 30 years of doing business with tons of companies. If I had an alternative I would go there… soon, we will all figure out how to get what we need without the cable companies and they will wonder why they have no business. AMAZINGLY POOR.

After 15 years of doing business with Comcast, I finally threw in the towel and switched to U-​verse with AT&T. What broke the camels back is upgrading my services and plan which included new equipment. After installing the equipment, I discovered it wasn’t working. After spending 2 hours with tech support, they admitted the equipment was faulty and refurbished. I should have gotten the clue when the equipment was out of the plastic in the box and the cords were dusty. Why didn’t Comcast inspect the equipment before they shipped it to me? This was not the first time this has happened, so I said to shut my services down and I would return the equipment and go go with AT&T. Of course, the tech rep wanted to give me a free premium channel for 3 months. The thing is, I had several hundred channels already, so why would I want another channel? How about lower my bill after it kept increasing year after year.
So glad I went with AT&T. The installers were so professional and the service is great, for now.

Comcast as a company: zero stars.
This Comcast Service Center: five stars.
I had called in to change my service weeks ago, and asked for a new modem with the service change, when the shipping could easily be waived, and was told that my modem was great and did not need to be replaced.
Yesterday, I’m in the middle of applying for my dream job with Unilocal when my internet completely crashes. I’m pretty tech-​ish, so I did everything I could to figure it out, but to no avail. I called in and was told that my modem had crashed, that they had been trying to phase out this modem for over a year now, and that it was frankly quite shocking that I still had my hands on such an out-​dated modem.
Um…
They absolutely refused to waive the shipping, so I brought my old modem into this service center.
«Is it okay that I didn’t bring the box?»
«Oh, yeah. Please don’t give us more boxes.»
«Cool. In that case, can you also not give me a box?»
«No problem.»
I left in probably less than one minute with an all in one modem and router (which is great because my router was from like 1985). I’m now back online and writing Unilocal reviews, so you can all calm down now. I’m back.

Unless you are already enslaved to Comcast due to a contract — dont switch to them. When everything is working they are okay BUT when theres a problem, WATCH out and get ready for headaches. Nobody in this company is empowered to solve your problem and you will get the run around.

I want to add to this review — Comcast service was miserable; however, if you have one of those Arris cable modem/​WiFi router combos, you can easily put it into Bridge Mode, just like I did, and Voila! my connectivity went up, speeds, etc.
I dunno, Google it.

I generally like Comcast high-​speed Internet and cable TV services.
But when something breaks that isn’t easily repaired, Comcast is among the worse customer service organizations with whom I have dealt. Basically each employee says, «What needed to fix you problem is not my job; here contact someone else.»
And the process repeats with the next person. «Oh well I’m just Customer Survery person. I can’t actually help you resolve your issue. Not that you have repeated that you are unhappy, call Customer service and tell them to repeat what you did already. It’s not my job to help you actually receive service, just to document that you were not happy with the service you have already received.» Ridiculous!
No Comcast employee OWNS the service issue on behalf of the customer. Comcast reminds me of the phone company. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service… long wait times, pointing fingers, «not my job» attitudes.
Give up Comcast on your Customer Service Guarantee. Your actions speak much LOUDER than your promotional pitches. So far I’ve spent over 2 hours contacting the next Comcast support person and still no progress.
