Button Up Boutique

I really love the product selection here. They carry a wide variety of mainstream and smaller brands. Love that you can find Wildfox, Hudson Jeans, and Show Me your MuMu in Folsom. However, I’m not sure I will continue to shop here, because I was very put off by the staff members. They were rude to my mom and I by acting like it was an inconvenience to help us. I would expect that kind of service in LA, but Folsom is a small family oriented community. You can’t sell Nordstrom quality products, and have Walmart customer service.

One of my favorite places to shop and they have excellent customer service too!

I want to start by saying «a one start rating is way to much for this store.» Initially I was very excited about finding this women’s clothing boutique and it went down hill quickly from there. The sales associates were very pushy and rude. I happened to be in casual attire that day to make things quicker in the dressing room :) and I was treated like a person that wasn’t worthy of shopping at their store. I will never set foot in there stores again… I think they have three locations and one was enough for me! There are far better places to shop for cute clothing in the area and be treated with dignity and respect!

Great apparel, similar to what you would find at Nordstroms. Unfortunately, the staff is beyond snobby! They begrudgingly ask if there is anything they can help you with while looking you up and down and they spend more time talking to one another than assisting the customers. Even after shopping at this store on numerous occasions and spending hundreds of dollars collectively, they treat you like they would rather you not be there. The owner is super sweet and helpful when she is at the store, but the rest of the staff could definitely use an attitude check. Staff at the sister store in El Dorado Hills, Runway Boutique, tend to be much more pleasant.

I have nothing but negative things to say about this place. My brothers girlfriend purchased her prom dress from here. While at the store they had issues pulling up the zipper but the associate finally got it up and said it wouldn’t be an issue the day of the dance. Oh man… was she wrong! She puts on the dress about 20 minutes before she has to leave the house for pictures the day of prom and we are unable to get the dress to zip. After countless tries from numerous people the zipper finally goes up and then proceeds to completely bust open! Keep in mind this girl is a size two! With her in tears and frantic we had to go to our seamstress and have them attempt to fix/​salvage the dress in the small time frame she had. The seamstress was unable to fix the zipper and ended up having to sew the dress on her! We called the boutique to tell them the situation and all they had to say was they could offer a ten dollar credit to the store, TEN FREAKING DOLLARS! The dress was 350 $ and it was 50 $ to get the dress sewn on her so she could make it too the dance 45 minutes late! Talk about horrible customer service. I will tell everyone I know not to go to this horrible store.

I love shopping boutiques and especially this store. My last visit was fantastic. The staff helped me find an outfit that worked great and was really outside my comfort zone but looked great on. I got so many compliments that I couldn’t wait to tell them where to go. Keep up the great customer service and fun fashions, your customers are very happy!

They have a very cool selection of brands that I love and are new to. They carry a bunch of Dolce Vita sandals and Rebecca Minkoff purses which has a very bohemian surfer vintage style to it.
The blonde lady and the younger girl that work here are a bit standoffish and kept staring at me while I was going around — it was a bit nerve wracking and annoying.
I think I prefer most of their casual items over their prom dresses or formal dresses.

I walked into this boutique ready to drop $ 500 on a dress, and one of the owners and one of the employees treated me, my sister, best friend and mother with complete disdain. I have also been to Runway with my friends (we are all 18) without a parent and the employees/​owners acted like we were wasting their time and tried to prevent us from trying on dresses. So both of these stores have a complete lack of customer service. I don’t understand why they would treat high school girls – the only people who buy prom dresses – like they are an inconvenience when wanting to try on a dress. If there was anywhere else I could have bought the dress I wanted, I would have. I will continue to avoid going in there at all costs.

Stepped into Button Up last night to peruse the clothing. This store has some really nice items and I purchased a beautiful dress there a few months ago. The young lady working that day was very nice and helpful. I cannot say the same about the older, blonde woman behind the register yesterday…
I was admiring a very well made cocktail dress and said it would be a fun New Years Eve outfit.
My boyfriend said it looked like a Halloween costume (it really didn’t)…And then the arrogant employee who had not offered any greeting nor assistance up to that point exclaimed «Well, that’s actually a prom dress»… Yep! That’s all she said in a disgustingly haughty tone of voice.
Now let me just say, I am a size 0 in misses and a size 3 in juniors and am in terrific shape for being somewhat over 50 which means that I could wear and and would look good in it!
My point is, one would think she would like to make a sale, and perhaps offer a dressing room to try it on while being courteous. I mean, isn’t that why she was there?
It’s quite difficult to stay in business with all of the great online boutiques at your fingertips and it baffles me that a she would be so rude and condescending!

I love this place! To bad I’m not rich because I want everything in this store! The clothes are so different from any other store in Folsom, which Is great because I hate showing up somewhere wearing the same outfit as someone else! I have always had a pleasant experience with the staff being very friendly and helping me find what I’m looking for. The store manager even helped me entertain my children while i was trying on clothes, (talk about customer service)!

Not sure I’m looking to be treated like a model when I shop (wow – maybe you can check that ego at the door?) – but I do know a good boutique when I see one. Love the selection and thought the customer service was outstanding. No, they didn’t wash my car or kiss my pinky ring, but I still somehow managed to enjoy it.

I came in here for the first time today and this seems like an awesome place! The lady working there was extremely friendly and helpful and they seem to have a pretty good selection of clothing, although I was disappointed with their shoe selection :(. Definitely coming back when I have more time to look around!

Ok. Ok. Yea I’m a guy. How much do I know about women’s fashion??? Zero! But like many of us guys, we have significant others we wish to impress. I just so happened to walk in to Button Up and was immediately approached by a sweet girl who understood completely my apparent, obvious face/​predicament. Within twenty minutes I was out the door, bags in hand. Whew, and best of all my girlfriend loved it all! (thank god) I definitely will be returning soon for the next «situation.»!!

Great store & friendly staff– the complete boutique experience. The owner is very savvy and quite lovely. Button Up is exactly the type of business that I like to support. Level 99, Fifteen Twenty, Gypsy 05 etc… they know what’s up.

As an avid shopper, fashion enthusiast and relative newcomer to this area, I was thrilled to see Button Up open in Palladio. Boutique stores are quickly becoming a thing of the past and while I enjoy online deals as much as the next shopper, nothing beats feeling the texture of the fabulous clothes in person, getting help from an expert employee and supporting a local business. I love to shop but as a teacher, my budget is limited. I am certainly not Button Up’s most affluent or spendy shopper, but I am a frequent customer, often just for browsing, and I am always greeted with a friendly hello and smile from the employees who never make me feel bad for not purchasing everything I have tried on. The brand representation is excellent particularly in staples such as skirts, tops/​blouses, tees and denim. Some of my favorite wardrobe items came from Button Up including a Bailey 44 maxi skirt that hugs in all the right places, a color block Ella Moss tee and a pair of incredibly well priced level 99 jeans. Their selection is a cross between what you would find in TBD or Savvy at Nordstrom but with fairer pricing and a more eclectic selection. I love that they usually only buy one or two of each item in each size so that the pieces I purchase from Button Up are unique and special. Robin, the owner, clearly has a keen eye for her clientele as well as for fashion. I am a loyal Button Up shopper and encourage you to visit their Palladio store soon!

Everyone check out Button UP! Great clothes/​prices/​staff! An overall great shopping experience from the creators of Runway in El Dorado Hills! Will make sure and make this a pit stop everytime i’m in town!

I have been shopping at Runway in El Dorado Hills since it opened and I was so excited when I found out they were opening Button Up. Both Runway and Button Up are the only place I will buy any of my jeans. They are always well stocked with Big Star and Miss Me which are my two favorite brands. I haven’t experienced any of the issues that some of the other Unilocalers have with the staff. In fact, the customer service I have encountered has been the exact opposite. Many of the employees know me by name, and even remember my size and the styles I like. I like Button Up because it has some of the same brands as Runway, but a lot of the clothes are different. Every time I go in there they have more inventory. The prices for the brands they offer are also reasonable, and I have found that they often beat Nordstrom’s prices when it comes to denim! Definitely a big plus for me. The convenience and good customer service of Button Up is up to par with its sister store Runway and I will definitely continue to shop here.

I am in complete agreement with Meebs. This store is quite possibly the worst boutique I have ever been to. The customer service is atrocious. As a young, fashionable and attractive professional I am used to being treated like a model when I walk into a boutique. I didn’t even elicit a «hello» or any acknowledgement from the older woman working there who was busy chatting up one of her friends. I will gladly travel to Madame Butterfly in Sacramento for my shopping needs. The selection of clothing is better and the girls there know how to treat their customers.

So glad to see a great boutique open in the Palladio! Have been shopping at Runway in El Dorado Hills for years and was excited to see the owner opening up another location. There are some of my favorite brands that Runway carries, but a lot of new and different brands. What an amazing selection. The staff was very helpful and I left with some great new items for summer.

In the age of great Internet shopping sites such as Shopbop, Asos, or Nordstrom and discount sites such as Gilt, HauteLook or Bluefly, I wonder how boutique shops still exist. But then I remember why, it’s for the customer service, feeling like you’re shopping with your best friend who knows your loves and hates and always have great suggestions. I was excited to see that a new boutique had opened in Folsom and was in a convenient location (in the same shopping centre as my grocery store and threading place, score). However, when I walked into Button Up, I was disappointed. While the selection of merchandise is average (Paige, Miss Me and Level 99 jeans, Free People, Velvet, Kensie, etc) nothing was too exciting or unique which is what you’re looking for when you walk into a good boutique. Though, the most inexcusable thing was the customer service. No «Hello, how are you, do you need help?» was offered when i walked into the store. The store was well staffed and there was no reason for someone not to greet me while I was looking around. It took about 5 min for someone to approach me and say «hello.» For the prices they are charging for their average, nothing special, clothing, you would think they would offer outstanding customer service but it’s lacking. My tip is to overlook this shop and go with the on-​line sites to save yourself money or take a trip to San Francisco. I went shopping in Roseville yesterday and got better treatment at the Gap, THE GAP, than this «boutique» store.
