Yamako Scissors

Terrible customer service. terrible shears. way overpriced. I would advise no-​one to buy these products. You’ll know it’s yamako because a man or woman will come screaming their arrival in your salon uninvited.

I wanted to write a review since my salon had a complete different experience then two that was written previously. We had a distributor named Juno No. He is one bravo soul coming into our salon. At first we all thought It was too good to be true. But He had hair so we could try out the shears. He was very nice. Didn’t push us. He actually didn’t talk much. They probably just sell them self anyways. Do to the price. I ended up getting a back up shear. And thinning shears for bobs. Which I was eyeing for years. But no way want to pay over 300 which usually shears are. I got the pair for $ 75! Which is amazing! When I got home I had to look up these shears. Cus I was kind of scared. He was going steal my debit card number. Or something. But these shears. Are just good shears cheap. Perfect for new stylist. Use before you buy! I almost got a pair. Just cus they where pretty but after using them on the hair. My hand was to small for them.

Buyer beware! Their scissors are horrific and they do not stand by their bad product. Would not give me my money back for two pairs. They cut horribly and the silencer breaks. When asked to remedy the problem within the first week «Young Cho» said to mail back. I mailed with return receipt and he said he did not receive. He eventually brought back a different pair in a different size after several phone calls. They were worse and he won’t take them back! He said it has been a year (not so), then turned around and ran to his car and drove away! I am stuck with two awful pairs of scissors, one too small for my hands. I have been a licensed hairdresser since 1979 and have never had this type of problem before. Please be careful. He’s a snake oil salesman!

I complained to the Better Business Bureau of New York — when they contacted me to get the true info, they informed me that the owner has claimed he has refunded my money — so you see they lie and have no problem doing it — they are deceptive —no morality what so ever — this is a mickey mouse business and people like these are ruining America and its economy — I can bet they are cheating IRS also by not paying the proper taxes or any taxes as they don’t care about this country — I urge all of you who had the same experience with these people to contact all related government agencies such as BBB-​NY, Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and even IRS to try to get these cheap businesses out of America — only this way we can save this beautiful country called AMERICA.
