Today was my first time at Twinkle. I recently had to have surgery on one of my legs and was finally given the «OK» by the doctor to get a pedicure. The place is very clean; they use plastic liners for the tub and dispose of them after each use. The tools were sterile and the file was plastic with a disposable pad. They have plenty of colors to choose from, too. Mae took care of me and was very gentle with my injured leg, taking her time and doing everything to help me feel comfortable. I will definitely return to Twinkle!

worst experience ever! I wouldn’t head back there unless I knew they adopted strict hygiene measures. I went for upper lip waxing. woman working on someone’s feet gets up and is about to work with me. she did not wash her hands at this point. I look down at the table before lying down and see a crushed dead cockroach. I tell the lady there is a bug on the table. it’s stuck to the table, so she scrapes it off with her fingernails. she carries to prepare for waxing as if nothing happened. I asked her please wash your hands, you touched a bug. she says ok and goes to wash her hands. I hope she washed with soap. but who knows? hygiene at this place is my worst nightmare come true. you were warned!

This place use to be my go-​to place until they raised the price from $ 15 to $ 20 for a mani and pedi. Not that this nail salon was any better than the others to be my go-​to but for $ 15 why not? I’ve gotten Rosa a few times and every time I walk in I hope she’s not there. If you do go to this place I suggest avoiding her. She’s really nice but she works extremely fast and because of that she doesn’t pay attention to details. Every time she does my nails she leaves nail polish on and around my cuticles. When she pushes my cuticles back she’s not even looking at my cuticles and sometimes misses a finger due to her lack of attention. She’s works so quick she doesn’t even push my cuticles back evenly. For $ 20 I would definitely avoid this place. They also removed my gel mani and charged me without telling me until after my mani was done (not that I mind paying for it I expected to however that’s something you tell a customer beforehand!). They also charge extra for credit cards which they also failed to notify me until AFTER they charged my card.

I first found this nail salon when I got coupons in the mail. I live so close I decided to give a massage a try. Rosa gave me a body massage and separate foot massage. It was nice and relaxing. I kept going back and now I’m a regular. Annie is the best at massage! She is so cute and sweet and also did my mani pedi for my wedding day. May is the manager and is very sweet and professional. They are all family people. Very clean, and I trust all of them. Even my husband is getting addicted to getting pedicures with me!

Used to come here to get my nails done but ever since they got new ownership, things have changed. The price for a mani & pedi went up 33%! It used to be 15 $ and now its $ 20. But they do have a weekday special on Monday & Wednesday for $ 18. I didn’t see the mention of the mani & pedi price on the menu, so when they asked me to pay I was a little taken back. They still have Rosa but there’s a lady named Mei in charge now. When I came in on a Friday AM, the place was already packed. I just sat in one of the pedicure chairs waiting for someone to assist me. For some reason they had two people just work on one girl.
I was there for about an hour and 15 minutes. The man doing my nails took his time and didn’t even do a good job. They cover the foot stations with plastic now then fill it with water, use brand new nail files, and a one time use thing to scrub the bottom of my foot. I guess it’s more sanitary now, but the tools don’t even do a good job to shape my nails. I asked for square but it was still slightly round. These nail files are weak and don’t do a good job. By cutting corners and not purchasing better tools reflect in the outcome.
I must say they do have a larger color collection than before. But, I’m not sure if I will be back. My manicure was unevenly painted and it has a few air bubbles. My cuticles weren’t even cut properly. If you’re paying $ 20 for a MEH manicure & pedicure might as well find a better place in Bayside.

I have been going to this place since it opened. It is my local nail salon. I go every 2 weeks. Great friendly service and prices. Rosa does great work and fast.

I’ve been a customer of Twinkle nail salon for years now, but since it’s been under new management the service has suffered tremendously. My most recent visit was the worst of them yet. The woman actually stopped my pedicure halfway through to take one of her regulars. Not sure if I’ll be coming back after this horrible and rude experience.

The old Twinkle (owners and workers) were so much better. Including the special deals they had.
No one greets u when u walk in anymore. They’re too concerned with what they’re doing. I waited 15 min, then got put in a pedicure chair without a word said to me and I was left to sit there another 15 min with no one helping me. Their communication is terrible. A lady passed by and filled my pedicure chair with water but no one was giving me a pedicure so by the time I actually got a pedicure the water was freezing. Not relaxing at all.
When someone finally came over to do my nails she was clearly speaking about me in whatever Asian language… Nothing makes a customer more uncomfortable than to know they’re being talked about. It’s probably one of the rudest things.
The service was extremely rushed and the quality poor compared to what it used to be. I don’t know why they’re rushing through a service when they’re not in a rush to accommodated the next person. I won’t be coming back. Time to find another nail place for the 1000^th time. These places really need to raise their standards and work to keep them.

Having had such a great experience here the last time I came here I was hoping for the same during my most recent visit. Not only did they get rid of the college discount the staff was rushed and they weren’t too great with the manicure and pedicure. There were bubbles in my manicure and a huge chunk of my nail was unpainted. My friends top coat wasn’t applied evenly and hers started chipping just a few days later.
I felt like the entire visit was very rushed and I will probably find another nail salon. However, the colors are amazing though

I’m not sure if they have the $ 15 mani/​pedi deal anymore since the store is under new management but I went to get a french gel mani and was so happy with how it came out. The staff is meticulous with cleaning the nail beds and cuticles and the polish job was really well done.
The interior has been repainted and designed under the new owner and to be honest, it looks a lot cleaner and better. Staff is very friendly and do a thorough job, a better job even than some places that charge much more for a gel mani.
Shellac/​gel mani is $ 20 and for french, $ 25. Def a place worth coming.

This place is so great! I came in this nail salon with 3 of my friends to do Christmas designs. They were very willing to the custom designs and even stayed past closing time to make sure everyone’s nails were done. One of my friends got a free shoulder massage while waiting for her nails to dry. This place is a must try!
Btw the hours listed on Unilocal is incorrect. The salon closes at 8pm now not 10pm

This is my new favorite nail salon. Place is very neat and clean. Friendly staffs and great price. They also have massage package in a nice private room which i will try next time.

Rude. All I did was call and ask how much for a gel mani and pedi was asked if I was making an appointment and said no and they slammed the phone on me twice. Not worth spending my money here if thats the attitude they have towards new customers.

$ 15 dollars for a mani pedi awesome. $ 30 dollars for a gel mani and regular pedi also pretty great.
Decent selection of colors not the most extensive but a balanced variety.
They are always friendly and accommodating (I changed my mind on a nail color after one hand was done and without batting an eye she removed it and brought me other options)
This might be my new spot!

I recently got a Mani pedi here on Tuesday. $ 15 for mani pedi. Sold.
Jenny took care of me and provided me with a wonderful experience. She was very polite when I asked her to make slight changes to my nails. She was also very polite and seemed to really enjoy her job which is always a plus. They also have a card where if you get ten manicures then you score one free. I will definitely be returning here.

Although you definitely can’t beat the price ($ 13 with student discount), it was not worth getting my toe mutilated. Even after I told the gentleman who started my pedicure to refrain from cutting my cuticles, he started to anyways and ended up ripping my skin off… which was a painful and bloody ordeal. The worst part of it is, he didn’t tend to it and I don’t know if it was because he didn’t care or he didn’t know. The lady who took over after was much better and ended up doing my manicure also; she was very friendly and did a good job… but it didn’t make up for the pedicure incident. After I was done drying my nails, I went to remove the paper towel toe separators and noticed my toe was still bleeding and they had to help clean it up and apply some liquid on it, I’m guessing to stop the bleeding. A couple days later… my toe still kind of hurts. Will not go again.

I visited this salon on a Thursday afternoon after making an appointment, based on past reviews. The salon was clean, the staff was friendly and I was happy with my $ 15 mani-​pedi.
It’s not hard to find parking, the closest is meter parking. My mani-​pedi only took an hour, even though they were busy and I didn’t feel rushed. I will definitely come back here.

This is my new go to nail salon. $ 30 for color gels and a pedicure. They last a few days short of 3 weeks… even on a friend who works at a hair salon and constantly has her hands in water and dyes. They’re friendly and have been honest with me about how long wait times are, which is the reason I stopped going to my old spot. They also have a loyalty program where 10 visits equates to a free manicure.
Stick to basic mani/​pedi or color gel here. I got bored and tried going for a glitter accent nail. $ 5 later I could have just gone over it myself at home with glitter polish for a better result.

What a neighborhood gem! I am always weary of going into random salons in Queens (you seriously never know what you’re gonna get and how dirty it’ll be).
They were SUPER clean, service was great and to top it off — the prices are amazing.
The only teeny downside is that their colors are limited.
I got a pedi for $ 12. Will definitely go back for their amazing spa specials.
$ 25 for spa pedi, mani and 10min massage. I mean, really?

Its cheap here. Cheaper than the other places I searched and called in the flushing/​fresh meadows area. For the price, they do a pretty decent job. It’s also clean here, which is a plus.
