Trinity Esthetics

This review is long overdue, since I came here from April to November 2014 to prepare for my wedding. Fortunately I had a skilled aesthetician, and I went once a week so my skin did get clearer and I had less breakouts. Unfortunately my mom had random aestheticians each time she went, and one day she got stuck with a REALLY bad one. This girl ripped her skin open during an extraction, then poured alcohol on it to «sanitize» it. Imagine how painful that is, let alone the scar that you would be left with. She had a dark scar on her cheek that wouldn’t heal for months, so she went back to the owner who basically said that aesthetician no longer worked there so the situation had nothing to do with her. If you’re going to hire an unskilled worker who damages a customer’s skin, then as an owner you SHOULD take responsibility. Aside from being a horrible owner, this woman is MEAN, and she stormed out of the room screaming that it wasn’t her fault. Also, the receptionist is only tolerant if she likes you. I’ve seen her be really rude to other customers, and am not really sure why a business would want someone like that as the first point of contact.
I now go to another aesthetician, where the owner personally does facials and really cares about her customers, which is how it should be.

I really love this place! Staffs are very friendly and they know how to treat any skin trouble on my face. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a facial care with VIP services.

I don’t understand why people are leaving bad reviews, because I have been visiting this place for a while and I love it. The receptionist is very friendly to all clients so the ones who leave bad reviews must have done something wrong. My skin has changed very much since I visited here and I will continue visiting here!

Had an excellent facial service with a gift certificate a friend gave it to me few months ago. Staff was friendly and used the latest aesthetic machines for treatment. My asthestician was very competent and knowledgeable about the condition of my face. I’ve walked out with my face glowing from the treatment and have another appointment next week. I’m hoping that they will continue to provide consistent detailed treatment when I sign up with 10 sessions. Will post with follow up treatment update. Stay tuned.

Absolutely my favorite place for a facial. I waited to write this review the second time I came here just to be sure that the service would be the same and yes it was! The girl I had was so friendly, informative and comforting. She made me feel great although the extractions hurt so much. This place is a bit pricy but i guess you pay for what you get. She spent over 2 hours on my face each time almost 3. And while your getting a facial there is another girl who is massaging your arms and legs! She is awesome too! Definitely will come 2x a month. My skin needs it!

If I could give this place zero stars… I would. By far the worst spa experience ever. I made an appointment in advance to come in with a friend of mine. We both received certificates as a Christmas gift and wanted to have a girls afternoon at the spa. When I got there to check In The receptionist informed me there was only one appointment. I insisted I had made an appointment for two but was met with constant denial. Rather than try and accommodate my friend and I (my friend took a $ 50 cab from manhattan by the way) the very rude receptionist denied our suggestions over and over again. We asked to share the appointment or if the staff could stay late to make up for their mistake. Every suggestion was turned down with a lifeless shake of the head. I would not recommend this place at all if you’re looking for friendly staff and a great experience.

Is it possible to give no stars? A friend gave us gift cards as a Christmas gift. We called this morning and made appointments for facials. I was running late, and had to take a cab for $ 50 to make the appointment. We arrived on time.
The owner made a mistake and only made an appointment for one person, not two. I asked if we could share the appointment time or come back later today but she said no.
I am very disappointed in how we were treated. I made exceptional effort to arrive on time, but no effort was made by Trinity to help solve the problem.
I would not recommend anyone use these services unless you are ready to be disappointed.

I rarely write reviews but felt the previous review was a bit unfair. I came based on Bee A.‘s glowing review, as I just moved to the city and was looking for a Korean facial place to replace my old one. I am asian but not Korean, and felt welcomed from the moment I walked in. The service at the front desk was bare minimum – which if you are used to asian establishments – is not out of the ordinary. However, like many other reviewers have said the facialists here are really the sweetest ladies you’ll ever find!
They took time to ask me questions but not too many, and never made me feel judged for my skin. They didn’t talk TOO much either which tends to annoy me…
As for the facial itself, amazing! I got the Course A for 2 hours, but my facial went on for 3 after asking if I had any other plans that day, no joke. They will tell you each step they’re doing and what each machine is so you don’t get freaked out if you’ve never experienced it. Massage HURT but felt GREAT after.
My pores were smaller after and my skin much smoother and brighter. One thing though is I wish they did a more thorough job during extractions, but this may be because I’m used to crazy extractions. This place did not leave any scars behind and some of the treatments they did even lightened my acne scars considerably.
I’m so glad this place exists and will definitely be back! Tip: They do take credit but adds tax, and you can tip on the card!

*Korean Facial Heaven*
This is the kind of place I shouldn’t be sharing with the internet because the greedy side of me doesn’t want to blow up my own spot… But for the good of the sisterhood, this is how it breaks down:
I go in for a Course A Facial once every four-​ish weeks, and that’s absolutely frequent enough to deliver affordable, awesome results.
A la carte, Course A costs $ 150. If you buy a package of 10, it’s $ 1000. ($ 100 a facial). If you buy a package of 30, it’s $ 2400 ($ 80 a facial).
There are other, less comprehensive courses (B & C), but may I ask why you’re coming for anything other than the magic that is two plus hours of talented, knowledgable estheticians using super-​high-​tech machines that look like they’ve just been shipped in from the future all for the price of the shortest, most basic facial at Bliss or Arden or whatever?
You came this far. You want Course A.
Anyway, I mentioned Awesome Results up top. Here’s what I meant by that:
Well first off, my skin is GLOWING. Days and days after a treatment, my pores are small, my cheeks are smooth, and my skin is frigging glowing. Like, bright enough that last time even my dad said something. My dad. You don’t know him, but that was huge.
But also, and maybe even more momentous… my under-​eye circles are GONE. They’re gone. Right now I look like I’m wearing cover-​up — but I’m not. Course A has delivered what neither a daily 3L of water nor a nightly eight hours of sleep have been able to achieve: the look of someone both well-​hydrated and well-​rested.
What else?
The gross oversized weird grey milia seed that was under my right eye for half a decade because my dermatologist coudn’t zap it is gone.
My neck kink is gone.
My occasional hormonal chin acne that still happens even though I was born during the Reagan administration is gone.
My naso-​labial folds are as close to gone as they’ll ever be without using filler.
But you know what’s not gone? My bank balance.
I love this place sosomuch. The facials are effective and affordable and everyone who works there is kind and friendly and just knows their shit. There’s also free parking in the underground garage behind the building and a new Skinfood store across the street. I want to move in, but I’ll settle for being a monthly regular with skin good enough to be noticed by even the world’s most unobservant father.
UPDATE (4÷24÷15) — They have an awesome new Hydra-​Impact machine… I had it used on me the last time I was there and it does this plumping/​cleansing thing and yeah it stings a little, but afterwards, *four* different people — none of whom knew I’d recently had a facial, each told me how dope my skin looked. UPDATE (8÷31÷15) — Sometimes people reach out to me here about if/​how to leave gratuity at Trinity. Often I’ll write back, but I’ll occasionally put it off and forget until months later when it’s too late. Sorry!
Anyway, here’s my deal with tipping: This is New York. We tip here. I do it at the counter as I pay, leaving cash for both my Course A esthetician and my masseuse every time, end of story.

I write this for someone like me who needed to find a really good Korean facial /​Korean esthetician that does fantastic facial and treat you like a VIP. I had been to a few facials in Manhattan, non Koreans, and you get treated like a nobody, they spend very little time and you pay much for so little. The thing about Korean businesses (but there are shady ones, don’t get me wrong) is that their customer service is top notch and I made it a thing for me to find a place like this.
So the woman who took care of me was absolutely sublime. She has the typical sweet smoothing, gentle voice who gently chastises you for not taking care of your skin. Her soft hands caress your face cleansing, and extracting every nasty thing out of your skin. She had done a micro dermo thing and the size of the dead dry skin she extracted was the size of the eraser on the other end of the pencil. I think it was bigger but I feel a little better thinking otherwise. Then she slapped on moisturizer and something like a gold dust mask — that’s actually a gel, not a paper kind. She gave it for me to take home because although it had been already used, because it’s gel, it still has staying power and told me use it.
As gentle as she is, man she has some crazy muscle. She massaged my head, shoulder, back, and face with such strength I was in pain. She said she was going easy on me because it was my first time but the massage releases tension and ironically makes you feel better.
The result? Well this is the secret that Koreans have in keeping that dewy perfect flawless skin — they go to places like this that is equipped with latest skin scaling, cryocell therapy and all other bunch of stuff I do not know. My skin looks sooooo good like those Korean stars… almost.
So do yourself a favor, forget the European, or whatever facial you go to and locate a Korean one. The 2 hours will be well spent and with great results!

Great facials, the owner seems to really know about skincare. The A package is two hours long and is very relaxing except for the extractions. It starts out with a cleansing and then the owner came in to analyze my skin. She did some extractions which was a bit painful but she showed me the stuff that came out of my pores and it was disgusting! She nagged at me to take better care of my skin like a caring mother. Then they use different machines depending on your skin condition followed by a mask. During the facial, another person massages your arms and legs followed by a long facial massage. I would definitely come back to this place, the 10 facial package seems like a good deal, it doesn’t expire and you can share with friends and family.

Second time I go and it gets better ever time! Both sides lots of oil… Nice! Full body

Been here once to get treated for my pimples and it was not a good experience. I came out with a red-​irritated face.
I don’t know about their other services, I mean they look all right.
The place is dim, cute, and appears clean. They have a lot of packages and affordable treatments for everybody. I guess I can give this place another shot.

This is a very cute, clean, cheap-​er and convenient Korean skin care spa. It’s right off of the Broadway-​LIRR station.
The «A» package is $ 150 and will get you a full service facial, arm, hands and foot massage for two hours! A bunch of people will be working on you… don’t ask about their labor policies… just relax!
The only downside is that the rooms are shared… One room has 4 beds and another has 2. Then again, that may be good for group facial/​massages. Oh, and another is that the estheticians aren’t fully fluent in English, but hey, my Korean is near non-​existant and my face hasn’t blown up yet!!!
If you want to avoid the crowds, I recommend going during the weekday and during the daytime.
So… for the money and service, this place is one of your best bets… They also have packages (10 facials for the price of 8, etc.), just ask!
