The UPS Store

I went there today to drop off a return package. The employee was helping a customer. I asked him for a tape to seal the box. He said to wait. Even after the payment and everything was done the customer was still asking endless questions. She was concerned about her mail to be delivered by next day. The employee was politely answering. By the time it’s been almost 5 minutes. I asked again, and he gave me a look and said wait. Then they started talking in asian language.

After 10 minutes since I walked into the store I lost my patience and told him look I’m just here to drop the package it’s going to take 1 minute. Can you take care of me? In a reply he said can’t you see I’m helping a customer? I told him I’ve been waiting here for 10 minutes, and her transaction and everything was done almost 8 minutes ago, if you still want to answer her endless questions or whatever you two are talking about, tell me what should I do? He said and I quote «don’t come here, drop your return somewhere else.» He sure didn’t want a customer who’s not paying.
I understand and respect the people’s work in retail stores. They go through a lot. But tell a customer go to another store because he politely waited and asked 3 times? That’s one star service right there.

I always come here to ship out my Amazon return package. Very fast service they provided. Staffs are very friendly and nice. I love this ups store.

They printed me 500 Business Cards for only 9.99 plus tax no strings attached. Staff even helped me to design one at the spot in 5 minutes, from their online printing site. Quite few templates to choose from

I have been to the store twice and both times have been very pleasant. Not to say anything bad about the people at the post office, these UPS guys beats them big time. They are super friendly and helpful; they really know they are in the service business.

I’ve done business with these guys for a couple of years now, but only because they’re the only mailboxes etc type store in the whole Flushing area. My previous UPS Store was the one in Brooklyn Heights and those guys were top-​notch, no attitude, no retarded mistakes, no threats from the owner/​operator to cancel my mailbox rental with them because THEY screwed something up and made me mad. They were awesome. But I don’t know what’s the deal with the Flushing UPS Store. They act like they know they’re the only store in the area and don’t give a hoot about being a good, competitive UPS Store. I’ve gotten to know the owner/​operator of this store — mainly for the times that he’s royally screwed something up or given me outright bad service and I’ve «forgiven» him for it. Overall, these guys are courteous and do the most basic functions of a UPS store (receive your mail and packages and occasionally ship something out), but ask anything more of them (which other UPS stores will do without mistakes or bad attitude) and you’re in for a big disappointment. These guys would be out of business as soon as any other competing store were to set up shop in the area. So why doesn’t anyone else open up shop in the Flushing area? (Fedex, UPS, whatever) Anyone have a clue?

This UPS sucked. I had a prepaid envelope with some tags to ship overseas and the guy says you cannot use an envelope because it is only for documents. Mind you I have used the same one before… The guy had no idea what he was talking about. I would rather stand in line in manhattan any day over this place.

Are you freaking serious? Brought a package here to return to amazon and they charged me to borrow their tape. I needed three inches of packaging tape to seal one end of the box and they just wouldn’t let me use theirs without three bucks. Ridiculous. The guy was a total asshole about it, too.

SPEEDY SERVICE! No long lines, No nasty attitudes, No disappointments. My choice of coming here to have my package returned was a great one because my refund came in much faster than I had expected. Yeah, I paid a little more than the cost for a USPS delivery but it was all worth it. TWO THUMBS UP for this UPS store!
