Don’t waste your time! The most useless staff you could possibly find. Not surprising though since management is worse. It is mind-​boggling that no one seems to know anything in that store. You can literally watch the associates hide from customers

I winder why home depot don’t get it that they need to hire people who will actually care about home depot. Maybe they need to pay more, so more people will actually want to come and work here. I was looking for a specific nail, so my brother will be able to hang a mirror for me, and I needed a nail that can be drilled into concrete. And I know nothing about it, so I asked, and then asked again, and only the third time someone agreed to come and show me what I need.
The place itself is great, the people can do better.

Standard Home Depot. A bit hidden from the Road, but the big sign indicates where to enter. Nice big parking lot. Inventory was reasonably well kept.

One of my favorite Home Depot location in NYC, because the foot traffic is not insane in college point. Their nothing like having a store to yourself. The other great thing about this college point location is that the people here are helpful and ask if you need assistance. Yup I said it! they ask you if you need help, Unlike other locations.

Staff at this location are incredibly rude and just plain ‘a’ holes. Avoid this place.

I actually opened a Unilocal account just so i can warn people about the lazy texing bums that work here. i was on line and someone cut me and the employee actually started helping them until i had one of my cursing fits. Good luck trying to get any info on anything without having them roll their eyes at you, and thats if your lucky they are not on a break. not only are they clueless to anything other than their phones and manicures, they simply have no class. stay away!

I thought home depot was suppose to have a good customer service team but how can that happen when they have a horrible management … Came to home depot to find a canopy and a young lady was very nice and was going to find out which store has it. Manager Bernadel was around and basically told her not to waste her time n look.

Ok selection of plants, still early in the season so i understand. Fran, the checkout lady in garden center, was really lovely… NOT! What a misery. So rude, rolling her eyes when you ask for a large bag to cover a pot so the dirt doesnt spill out into your car. Good thing she works in the garden center so She can use a weed wacker on that hairy face.

Place is huge!
Staff are helpful but sometimes have no idea where things are located.
I asked about where the ladders were and they just pointed me to a general direction and not knowing the actual aisle number. I wasted a good 10 minutes until I found my ladders.
Checkout was somewhat slow but it was moving at least.
Parking lot is pretty big and can fit a good amount of cars.

Is it rare that I give one star to an establishment. But obviously Home Depot does care about who or what they hire. I went to customer service to get some help in locating an item. 7 people where standing there doing nothing and none wanted to help me. So what’s the point of having them there. NO STARS !!. Sadly I have not other place to go but I will be making the drive to someone else when I need something. I advise Home Depot to really look into there hiring practices. I am advising others to do the same.

Worst service in the world. Had a question about a door, had to track down an employee who told me to wait for the guy at the desk… who didn’t even acknowledge us or say to us, «I’ll be a second» I ended up walking out. The garden department is nice but that’s about it. Horrible customer service and yet there are many employees walking through the aisles, but not one will come up to you and ask if they can help. Really a shame because it’s in a nice, big parking lot.

Worst customer service department possible. Ordered items online for in store pickup, received an email that the order was ready, went to pick up the items and was told that half the order was cancelled because it wasn’t in stock. No partial refund was issued to my credit card for the not in stock items. Service department refused to cancel and refund the entire order. I had to call their corporate office to have the order refunded in full.

I ordered a shovel online and came here for pick up. I just broke 2 shovels recently and I desperately need a new one because the forecast said another 6 ins on Monday. I reslly prefer this location than the other one in Flushing downtown. It’s quiet here and the parking lot is very spacious. Howevet I give only 3 stars because it took the staff 30 min just to get the shovel.

I wanted to mount a wooden shelf in my closet so I came here. I picked out a piece of wood (35 dollars. cus I like my stuff *thick*) I asked a staff dude to help me shave up the wood to my preferred size and he told me to carry the wood 5 aisles down. That’s cool except I was carrying a ton of other shit like saws, garden scissor, nails, many other manly objects. I would not have minded a little help.
He then disappeared.
I stood near aisle 15 (made up number) with my lonely piece of not-​yet-​cut wood like a pos. Nobody came to assist me even tho I was purposely broadcasting my «I’m so lost, I need the register to call my mom to pick me up» look.
Nobody came.
Then I went back to the aisle I got my wood and called out to 2 other dudes. Teenager summer job guy was like «hey you should ask THAT guy there!» I turned around… Bob Ross looking grandpa with tools equipped on his belt walked by and I knew I was golden.
Bob Ross Grandpa agreed to assist and teenager helped me carry my wood to Bob’s ol trusty wood cutting station thingy. BRG worked fast and at the same time gave instructions to teenager, who kept nodding. I doubt he got it… cus I had no clue what BRG was saying.
It took 50 seconds to finish. I realized I need a shopping cart to carry the now three pieces of wood. I asked teenager to look after my wood so I can dash out to get a cart.
«No,» he said.

GINORMOUS location, impossible to find someone to help you, things are not always logically organized. that said, i am a self-​professed home depot addict. HDAA founder and president.

This has to be the best Home Depot when it comes to knowledgeable staff… Unfortunately it makes little sense to keep your other patrons waiting 30 minutes while you explain to an 80 year old man how he can install a gas fired boiler.
As far as merchandise you will not find anything of quality. Most of the plumbing is made of plastic and what you can find in brass is such a thin gauge that you will be replacing any waste piping within two years.
I purchased cast iron fittings and had to return several fittings because they had casting defects.
Make sure you check the contents of everything you purchase because the security is so lax that customers remove parts from the packages and put them back on the shelf. Something you will discover when you get home or to the job site.
Forget about ever returning anything to Home Depot because they have ten registers open taking your money and only one taking returns, most times the return line is out the door.

Wow. That’s the word I can describe this home depot location. Very helpful customer service. Clean and well organized. Was in and out under 20 minutes after buying 10 different things from different sections of the store. How come other locations don’t have such helpful customer service?

Most of the Home Depot’s I’ve dealt with in Queens have been a pain in the ass.
The College Point location is a definite exception though. I’ve come here countless times to pick up random knick-​knacks and my folks in Whitestone have done some home improvement through this store and everything went smoothly. I really feel like no matter what time you go, it’s never crowded (unlike the Flushing location… which an get hectic), the folks working their seem to know their shit and are eager to help you out and there is always a ton of parking.
I’ll definitely continue to come out of my way to visit this location when needed.

I got my kitchen cabinets at the Home Depot, College Point.
What do I like about this location?
2 things: HUGE PARKING LOT and no one knows about this location. I love that.
Ray at Home Depot helped me with my kitchen cabinets. So far there has been no problems. I have extra pieces to my cabinets. Home Depot came into my apartment to measure my kitchen to make sure they fit. I didn’t put the cabinets up yet.
Let’s see what happens when I try to return the extra pieces, more later…
