The google map is wrong… its closer to 154th street rather than 170th. how do you correct it? the staff here makes this place worth it. theyre absolutely willing to help with any stitch, any question, any problem! bring in your whatever it is youre working on and go ask! things are affordable; finer yarns and materials along with cheap ones– they’re there! its the staff– man! the aisles are too narrow for a wheelchair– the place is packed with yarn!

I have lived around the corner from this blink –and-then-you-miss-it shop for 8 years and have just come to appreciate it. They don’t have the fanciest yarns or the hippest staff, but Sandy is tops in customer service and knitting knowledge. She will rock your cable knit socks off ! Not only did she hand write a pattern especially to my measurements for free, but she corrected my technique and helped me correct some majorly frustrating mistakes on my project. Woo Hoo! The affordable yarns are plentiful but a bit of a dig behind the needlepoint projects but I’m told, a treasure trove is in the basement. and if Sandy knows you are up to it and have taste… she will dig out some mighty fine stuff… shhhhhh. It’s a small space, but even though Sandy’s husband doubted she’d be open for 6 months, she’s made it work for 20 years. A local treasure worth keeping that Sandy.
