I’ve been coming here for over three years. I had two facialists here and currently using a girl name yen. She is great and I highly recommend her. I have the algoe essence package and facials come out to under $ 70 for a near 120 mins facial which I think is fairly reasonable for nyc. I give it three stars because they really do cram you packed into a room with others but then again let’s be real and if that is the price we pay then I can’t really expect five star treatment. I typically go with my gfs — sometimes one to three others and they usually accommodate which is awesome. Will be getting my business for years to come.

Good cleaning(depends on your facialist). BUT, CANYOUALLZIPUPYOURMOUTHANDLETPEOPLERELAX!!! That’s so annoying and very unprofessional. Some people have attitude too.

I would give this place a 3.5 but that option isn’t here. This place is known for value and purpose(a good cleaning!). Right now they have a great promotion where $ 388 gets you 10 facials plus the following bonus items: 10 free eye treatments(valued over $ 200), foot massager, and a facial cream. Since they have several locations you can go to any of the Sai Kay stores granted you know your account number. Never lose it — it will be hard to find your account number if you lose it! Tip 1: Test out different girls to find your favorite. I tested a few and found the one I love and stuck to her. Your experience here depends highly on the person who performs your facial. Good luck! Tip 2: I heard the Hester Street venue in C-town is one of the cleaner and newer boutiques. I go to that one when I visit C-town. Note: This is not your typical American facial. This is a Chinese style facial with various steps and mini massages. They are ideal for deep cleaning and facial massages. It’s not a quiet place where you can relax in a private room. You’ve been warned!

I thought this place would be perfect for facial but I thought wrong. Lady receptionist will force and pressure you to buy packages… it’s not a problem but I’m unemployed so they should understand I can’t afford it. Then the lady did my facials leave my face in pain torture of pimple extraction. Don’t get me wrong but I’ve been to places and I never experience like that! Worst part is she got long nails and she’s like pinching my face through her nails. I also felt like she leave me more deep scars. She also blabs alot to her fellow facialist… how can u even relax if she kept talking. She’s also unprofessional sometimes I ask a question she would laugh. So unprofessional. Thank God i did not buy their packages. I rather do my skin care routine. Oh and I think her name is Coco. Goodluck!

I’ve been here a few times with my mom/sis-in-law/brother and the last time i went was over a year ago. The facialist recognized me when i went this past wknd!!! Such awesome memory haha I got Jenny and my mom got Mandy(both are very delicate with their massage techniques but firm when need be). Jenny’s massage was awesome and i didn’t want it to end! They couldn’t use certain machines on me cuz im preggers but otherwise they did the dead skin removal, massage, eyebrow plucking, blackhead extractions, and facial. Very relaxing!!!

a great price for service. one of them gives GREAT face massages. all the intricate hand work is veryyyyyy relaxing. facials include extraction, light neck and shoulder massage. staff is very respectful. no ambiance. but you’ll be spending over 1 ½ hours with your eyes closed anyway. pore extraction isn’t done as closely as I liked them to be. but for such a cheap price on great facial massages, something is always lacking. but you can’t complain

I was so ready to ignore the communal setting and chattiness of both the workers and the clients. I brought my own robe too. All I wanted was a good pore cleaning that benefits my skin. But even that expectation fell short. The process felt okay on my face and the back massage felt good. And it felt and looked as if my pores really did get a good extraction. However i knew I couldn’t see the actual results days later so I waited patiently before writing this review. I never got the clarity in complexion and the glow that I was expecting. And the bruises were fading away really slowly. I think I actually got a couple of scars! I’m going back to christine chin. Even though it’s x5 more expensive, it shows results. Sai Kay would have been a great deal if their extraction was as effective as some of the reviews said to be. But I guess if your skin is pretty perfect to begin with and just wanted a moisturize with a quick back massage then this place might be worth it you.

THis is probably more of a 3.5 star review. I’d echo what everyone else is saying. Basically, you’re getting a lot for the price you’re paying. For the basic facial, the latest package they’re offering is $ 388 for 13 facials. Included in the service is a thorough facial, eyebrow tweezing, a great face massage, and a light, but good back and shoulder massage. You don’t come here for the ambiance. The place appears relatively clean, however as others have noticed, i don’t know how often they change the pillows and sheets on the bed, and as far as the robes go, i think they smell like the person before me, so I’m not sure how often those are cleaned either. Additionally, you’re typically in a room with 3 or 4 other people also getting facials, and often chatting. That being said, for the most part, the facials are thorough and good. When the steamer isnt directly on the center on my face, or not on long enough, my face will scar. Other than that typically, I have had good facials and good service here. Like any other place, I definitely recommend getting an appointment in the morning or very late afternoon. When they are packed, they will rush, and that’s when service will suffer. I’m happy with the service here.

I had been going to Sai Kay 21 for years. You’ll get a great face & neck massage and very relaxing. Facial also includes eyebrow shaping, cleaning out black heads and a nice moisturizing mask. They are really friendly and not pushy on selling products but they will give you good advise on facial packages. Highly recommended.

I had high hopes for this place — recommended by two friends and read positive reviews on here too, but I was quite disappointed at my first visit on Friday. An early Christmas present, my friend treated me to try this place with her account for a facial, mask, and eye treatment. It’s a typical Chinese beauty shop — the staff will push for you to buy a couple of packages(facial/mask/eye/etc). Buy a 10x session facial treatment for $ 300+, additional $$ for mask, plus another eye treatment for $$+, blah blah blah. There are small lockers for your personal storage, but only one bathroom to change. It was a bit hectic waiting to change with other girls waiting for the bathroom too. Walked into the room and there are 5 – 6 beds lined up next to each other… so, no privacy and you’ll have to put up with other chatter in the room. I liked the heated bed & blanket… it was quite comfortable and the esthetician was very attentive to your comfort. She’ll ask you a couple of times how you’re feeling as she’s working on you. As she goes along with her steps, she’ll verbally tell you what she’ll be doing and what recommendations she has for you. Overall, the service is good. BUT the technique and end result were less than stellar. My face was very inflamed and visible red scar marks afterwards… AND still the redness is visible today. At the time, the esthetician showed me the products she used and I had those treatments in the past from other spa salon. So I’ll have to question the quality of the products and/or the technique used to apply them. I can only advice: Try At Your Own Risk … it’ll either work for you or not. Unfortunately, this place didn’t work for me and I will not be a return clientele.

A lot of my mom and her friends are patrons here. and you know how it works in the Chinese community, if you’re a good deal. everybody you know goes. This place is spot on in terms of value and service. My facial typically lasts for 2.5 hrs — my facialist will cleanse my face, massage, pore extraction, mask, eyebrow grooming. the works. Most other spas have you in and out in under an hr. They have tons of package deals and the facialists are always trying to sell you something or other. basically, it’s worth your $ to get a package deal esp if you think you’ll be coming back. They never expire(HUGE) and will save you at least 30% off the sticker price. And then with these deals and products comes a few bearable tradeoffs. The actual facials happen in a group setting. so you’ll have 5 beds in a room. Just be prepared for that. Most of the other patrons like to answer the phone so you might not be as relaxed as you’d like. I want to say they’re 100% clean… but I think they may not change their towels after each person and I know for sure they don’t change their blankets. Because, there are so many beds, your facialist may leave you for a bit to work on somebody else… say during your 45 min mask. And I’m not too positive she washed her hands every time she came back to me… All in all, the facialists provide a deep cleanse. I def. have a favorite and few rotating ones in case she’s not free.(Sookie, Elaine, Yin. in the order)

Firstly, I want to say that I would give this place 5 stars for the value and the service. But that would mean it’s perfect, and clearly, it’s not. But it’s pretty damn good for the price. I am a picky, picky, picky person, and I love a bargain. I’ve been to a couple of Chinese beauty establishments. Usually they are cheap, but frequently, they fall short. Pros: Price cannot be beaten. A regular facial is $ 55, package of 10 is $ 388, however with the special now, they throw in an extra 3 for free, it works out to be $ 29.85 each facial, which last up to 2.5 hours. The facial includes, a cleansing, facial massage, moisture cream and whitening, steam, black head removal, eye brow pluck, shoulder and neck massage, cooling mask and to finish another nice thumping of the shoulders and back. The neck and shoulder massage is not a 10 second rub, but a full blow massage that lasts for 5 minutes. They give you a tube dress to change into so it doesn’t ruin your street clothes. I think that’s a great value. My facialist was pretty good, I checked my face afterwards, and did not see any bruising or nicks after my pore extraction. Her massage technique was pretty good too. A good massage is suppose to stimulate and detox the lymph nodes, and one way I can always tell is that I get incredibly thirsty after any type of massage. Don’t know why, I have to ask a doctor one day. Con: Although, the general sitting room is new, and cute, the area where the facials are taking place is a little sad. They have 3 big rooms, and have up to 4 or 5 massage tables lined up and so you don’t get a private room. It gets crowded and loud. Customers are talking on their cellphones, the facialists are sometimes answering the phone taking appointments, and there’s a lot footsteps and noise. I was next to the sink and they kept mixing masking and washing their hands. Overall, it was not really relaxing. Also, the massage table is a little narrow and other than putting my arms over my stomach, I did not know what to do with them. The tube dress they give you to change is clean and washed, but not in great condition. It’s a little small as most of the clients are asian. You also lie under a blanket that I’m sure is not washed after each use. It’s also a little funny lying next a woman who started snoring because she passed out while her mask set. Since it was my first time, my facailst kept trying to sell me a more expensive package, with collegen. She asked 2x. and talked and talked, and asked me about where I live and if I own or rent. She’s trying to figure out the size of my wallet. God bless her. Anyway, after I told her I only wanted the basic, she finally relented. I’m hoping now that’s I’ve forked out almost $ 388, next time she’ll shut up and leave me alone so I can relax. Chinese facial places lacks the décor and ambiance. But if you need a nice deep cleansing and is a slut for a free shoulder massage, then it’s a great deal. For $ 30 a pop, I can afford to go every two weeks. I’ve been to Bliss, where I spent up to $ 125 and the décor is beautiful and they give you a glass of white wine and cheese, and everything is nice and clean and everybody looks like a supermodel. But it’s so expensive, you only treat yourself 2x a year. Also, I did not think their facialists were fantastic either. Next time, I’m bringing my own tube dress and my Ipod. Hopefully, it’ll drown out the noise, and stop my facialist trying to make conversation. Overall, a good place to go, and needless to say, they got my $ 388(they take all credit cards) and I hate pre-paying for anything.

They talked me into paying $ 300 for facial sessions. At first I was Apprehensive, but 14 facial sessions for $ 300 is nothing! They do the best pore extractions too, AND they pluck eyebrows beautifully AND an uppoer body back and neck massage. They come with each session. Good ol’ Chinese people. So precise with their work. Don’t forget to tip them. I give like $ 10 or $ 15. You can be there for a bit over 2 hrs.
