Good location because it’s close to my house but there were always a bunch of people staying inside occupying the table without doing anything, so sometimes it took away the seat to study there.

Back in the day before I joined the gym and had a lot more free time, I would come to the Queensboro Hill library in Flushing since the library was offering free Zumba classes at the time, but only if I made it into the pre-registering list. The Queensboro Hill library is right off the Main Street L.I.E. exit and one block away on the north side of the L.I.E. so it is easy to spot and I usually turn into the neighborhood on 60th Ave, go around the back of the Chinese Supermarket, and park in one of the neighborhood streets. All parking near the library is metered and usually occupied. I didn’t mind the walk. The Queensboro Hill library is currently closed for renovations. I’ll probably have to review this place again if I ever have the chance to come back. The Queens Library website states that it is opened during limited hours and days: Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30AM-5:00PM. The old Queensboro Hill library was small with limited seating and the Zumba classes were held in the children’s room. The staff had to shift all the tables out of the way before class started. I didn’t really have any room to dance. The room was open with no doors so we had Zumba music blasting for a good hour in a library that is supposed to be quiet. It was weird, but I hope the new renovation will take care of this problem. The Zumba class went on to be introduced at other libraries so I never had a reason to go back since then. The book selection at Queensboro Hill is very limited, but I honestly didn’t come here for the books and I had a complaint that were is nowhere to sit so I sat on the floor and read some books while I waited for Zumba class. The problem might be fixed by the time the renovation is over. PROS: Renovations Underway, located close to the L.I.E. CONS: Was a small library, metered parking outside

Not the best library in the world, it’s small. However now it’s closed until 2013 for renovation. So for now go to the main Flushing branch.
