Went here a few weeks ago in November to get my nails done for my sister’s engagement party. I wanted something elegant so I ended up getting a nice floral design. It took about two hours for the nail artist to do my nails and aestheticly speaking it was absolutely gorgeous. I was in love with the art! And it was my first time getting 3D nail art so it was a pretty exciting experience. The only issue I had was that when I got the nails the artist told me it would last a full month which would’ve made the nails worth it for the price the charged me. And when she told me it would last a month she said it with such confidence saying it would probably last even longer. However the nails only lasted under 2 weeks. After 12 days of proudly wearing them they just popped off my nails one by one in a whole piece over a course of 3 days. I called the salon to complain and whoever spoke with me on the phone denied the claim that they would last a month saying they were supposed to last only 2 weeks. Even thought the nail art was 3D it was still gel, so honestly it should’ve lasted 3 or 4 weeks. The 3D design wasn’t heavy enough to affect the nail polish and make the thing come off. And the fact that I spent over $ 100 means I expect them to be on my nails for a full month. Not less than 2 weeks! Whether or not the nail artist did a shoddy job filing my nails or removing the powder I’m taking away 1 star for the ridiculous price, removing 1 star for the fact that it didnt last long enough, and 1 star for they way she lied to me about how long it would last. To be quite honest it would’ve only been worth the price if it lasted longer than two weeks. Never going back there. It’s not worth it.

Normally I get my nails done in the city but I was feeling lazy and decided to get them done in Flushing. Getting the appointment was simple and easy and as other reviewers said, they were very accommodating. I’m not quite sure if they offer matte nails here. I asked for black matte nails on most fingers and designs on only 2 fingers. One was a design that I saw on their display and the other was arrows lined up in a row. I showed her a picture for the last one. I asked in the beginning if the nail technician could give me what I wanted and she said she could. Awesome. While doing my nails, she left at one point to get lunch. I made an appointment, she knew when I was coming but she still got lunch during my appointment time. I saw her schedule and there was a 2 hour gap between her appointments. Definitely annoyed me a bit. As for my nails, I gently asked her two more times to make my black nails matte, just in case she forgot. Each time, she told me she would and when I thought she was finally putting the matte polish on, she was actually putting regular top coat on. Guess I not getting my matte nails then. As for my designs, my arrows are crooked and very obviously not a straight line. Props to her getting the more complicated design with jewels right though. That one looks awesome. Overall, I don’t think I will return. I think the price is reasonable for nail art. I paid around $ 58. However if they were unable to do the design I wanted, I wish they told me instead of telling me they would do it and me anxiously waiting and then being disappointed. Also, the crooked arrows bug me a bit still.

I made an appointment here after I could not get one at the Japanese nail studio I have been going to for 3 years. I arrived on Saturday at 2 pm and they did not have my appointment. This was extremely disappointing but I decided to come back the next day as I was in desperate need. I do have to say I am glad I came back because they did a great job. They have plenty of designs to chose from and magazines available. I have never used the brand of gel they had but the true test will be to see how long it stays! Im relieved to finally find another salon since my go to is always booked!

This place is top notch — work around your schedule and give you the personal attention you’ve always craved … Unfortunately the studs fell off in less than 14 days … $ 58 dollars for two weeks is not an investment. Perhaps it’s best to visit this place when you wish to bask in the glory of a few compliments ;)

This was my first time getting nail art, and Pika Pi was everything I hoped it would be! They were very nice, accommodating and helpful with picking a design. From cleaning, to shaping my nails, polishing and designing, everything was meticulous and beautiful. Very happy I found them thru Unilocal!Call first because it’s by appointment only…

~~~I had done my nails from them for 6month, they do really good nails, creative design, exillent skills, really good quality gel… they are very busy, you must make appointments before you go there. You can bring you own nails photos, they will do exactly same like photo.
Been an old customer with designers even before Pika Pi opened this year. They are not only very skilled but they are updated with the latest Japanese nail trends. The gel and jewels are top quaility all ordered from Japan and Taiwan. Beauty has its price, if you wanna get fancy and pretty nails this is the place for you. But if you wanna cheap out and pay less than $ 50 for nail art then don’t waste Pika Pi’s time. I been getting my nails done for 8 years and I know how expensive a good nail art can get. The most expensive price I got getting my nails designed at a Manhattan Japanese nail shop was more than $ 200 in 3D gel nails including extension on every finger. But at Pika Pi for 3D nail arts only cost me around $ 70. Been getting my nails done for years. And I know how expensive 3D nails could get. I been going to Japanese salons in Manhattan which will cost $ 100 or more. Once I got extension and 3D art at a Manhattan Japanese nail salon it costed almost $ 300. The price here is great, they have two uv light box for each hand so you don’t have to squeeze both hands in one box. This place is clean and the service is great. P. S. To those people who want to get beautiful nails and aren’t willing to pay the buck? Stop complaining, because it clearly shows you don’t know the price of beauty. Here is probably the best price and atmosphere you can get.
