One of the best phở places in queens! This place is located in the heart of busy flushing but parking is not so hard. I came here on Saturday and i was able to park right outside the restaurant. It was packed but we got seated right away. My friend and i ordered two beef phở(large and medium) and summer roll. Summer roll came out right away and it was full of shrimp and chicken! Also it comes with sweet peanut sauce. Very yum! Phở was really good too! They don’t go cheap with bean sprouts and beef inside the soup(yay) I liked how clean it tasted compared to other phở places. It wasn’t flavored too strong and the portion was huuuge. I ordered large phở but damn i had hard time finishing this. The total for 3 came out to be $ 20 which is dirty cheap(hallelujah) I’ll be definitely coming back for hangover doctor to cure

Came here during lunch time. It was hard to look at the big menu with the waiter looking over your shoulder the whole time. Kinda hard to be ready to order when you just walked in the restaurant. Got the phở dac biet medium size for $ 7.75, and my girlfriend got the small size($ 7.25 I think). The phở broth was a bit saltier than normal, beef had quite a bit of fat, but still soft and chewy. Good proportion between noodles and meat. Total came out to $ 15. BEWARE: No card here, just cash.

Their Phở taste better than the one next door. I would prefer eating here, but sometimes when the wait is too long, I would just go eat next door. Their always busy, but the food come out really fast. The noodles are just right, not too soggy. And the soup is flavorful. Their shrimp rolls are good with their peanut sauce. I always order the number 1 on the noodle list(火车头) it has every thing beef, and some of the meat come out a little raw, that’s how it is. I would just dunk them in the hot hot soup and work on the noodle first. The soup, unlike other places, doesn’t taste like MSG, it’s one of the reason why I like this Phở place. This is one of the best Phở place in Flushing.

A Flushing institution serving up piping hot bowls of Phở and other Viet staples. It’s dimly lit, cramped and a little dingy but the service is good and the food even better. What I’ve had: Cho Gio(Crispy Spring Rolls) — and I always dig into them too quickly and burn my mouth lol but still my favorite appetizer. Phở — Pretty much the«go-to» for everyone. It’s fresh and the bowls are huge. I usually go for the Tai Gau(Combination rice noodles beef soup with fresh eye of round and brisket) Com Soun Bi Cha Cua(Grilled pork chop and shredded pork and mix crab meat patty on rice) — when I’m craving rice this is usually my choice. There’s also this platter thing that I’ve ordered once that was fantastic, it had two different types of meat, vermicelli noodles, a dipping sauce and another component, can’t remember the name of it at the moment but will definitely update the review with a picture and description when I go back :)

First time having phở here and I’m surprised that it was pretty good despite all the bad reviews that I’ve read. The price is pretty good for the amount of food that they give because it’s quite filling. They could give more bean sprouts because they only gave a small plate for four people(my friends and I) to share. The atmosphere of the place is somewhat gloomy and loud at the same time. Something about the lighting and the lack of cleanliness of the restaurant bothers me. Service was relatively really quick. Will be back again if I crave some phở.

— – About the food — – One of the best phở in the queens area. It’s a toss up between phở mekong on northern and this place but I say this place wins out. I’ve been coming here for 5 years and the #1 never disappoints. Soup is always hot and noodles are cooked just right. The reason I’ve been coming here for so many years is the soup. It’s the best by far from all the phở resturants I have tried(and I’ve been to basically all of them.) Highly recommended. — – About the service — – Service is prompt. The owner knows how to speak both vietnamese and cantonese. As soon as you walk in there are always a couple waiters to greet you, asking for how many people there are. I didn’t make this a 5 star review because in previous experience the environment feels a bit grimy. The tables feel oily and I feel the need to clean all my utensils with napkins before I eat. I have gone there recently and it seems to have gotten better. The food overshadows everything so no need to worry!

I’m giving this place 2 stars because even though the phở isn’t the worst I ever had, the overall experience makes this place not worth going back to. Service was very impersonal. The spoons and dishware were disgusting. The place smelled nasty as soon as you walked in. The bell in the kitchen was constantly going off like an angry baby wanting attention. I hoped the food would outweigh the cons of this place, but it didn’t. This was my first and last time.

Fuck I came here and thought I would be chilling but hell no, their soup was lukewarm, my meat looked like it came out of a cow’s ass. I looked at my spoon and damn that shit looking real dirty. I guess low maintenance and fast service is what profits this venue! 1 star* but 2 because it’s so cheap and convenient with parking. meep :(

This place is simply gross to its absolute worst. 1) I ordered spring rolls and had to tear it apart to see why it tasted like ass. See for urself in my picture. The meat was so dry and old that this place needs to be written up for serving food that is clearly a health violation. 2) I stopped eating my phở cuz of so much oil floating on top. 3) the idiotic server wanted to go home or something and ran my legs over with his cart, damaging my new boots. Instead of sorry, he decides to just go on so I made a fuss. Then he brings over a napkin and throws it at me for me to clean up his clumsiness. Go to Mekong East for phở. This place needs to be shut down. And if I get sick from their food tmr, I would not be surprised and will probably call an authority to report them for food poisoning.

There are so many restaurants that serve phở and other vietnamese dishes, but this was probably the worst one I’ve ever tried. Me and my friends ordered 3 bowls and an order of spring rolls. The phở came out first. Our server only gave us 1 plate of bean sprouts and lime. Fine, we’re all starving so we don’t bother to ask for 2 more. The soup was extremely bland. I love mixing hot sauce and hoisin into my soup but this time I had to put too much for it to taste like anything. Then the spring rolls… which came out when my other 2 friends were almost done eating already. They were glistening with oil and it didn’t look appetizing at all. Nor did it smell good either. But I still covered it in sauce and ate it. The stuffing was dry and the pork inside was all separated and crackled. Most places at least have decent spring rolls even if their phở is bad. This one just killed everything. Not to mention their drinks were overly laced with condensed milk. To the point where we added water in the drinks ourselves.

I came here about three days ago and was blown away by their renovation. I used to come here since I was young and it was the typical cramped, dingy, bad lighting Asian restaurant. It’s now brightly lit and more spaced out; I wish I took pictures of the layout. The service was really fast. They took our orders before I could actually read the menu. Our food came out really fast. The phở soup was pretty bland and I felt that they lacked fresh ingredients. Could have been because we went later during the night… but the summer rolls were good. I liked that it was wrapped tightly and it never fell apart while I was eating it. I would only go back for their sandwiches. I had bought the grilled chicken one to save it for the next day’s lunch and it was absolutely delicious.

I hate to post a negative review, but aside from their fried spring rolls full of grease & the broth of the Phở Ga everything else wasn’t good. I was very disappointed especially reading the reviews. I’m sure those who believe this place is very good haven’t ventured out to NYC or Westchester or even Canada. I must say, there is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant on Jerome Avenue in the Bronx named, Com Tam Nina Kieu that is 100 times better! Sorry Phở Bang, us 4 won’t be back

I like coming here for Vietnamese food because it is more authentic compared to the one right next door. I love the salted plum drink and the Viet coffee. The food is good for its price. It has gotten more expensive over the years so the prices will be a bit different. The place may seem loud, unorganized and dirty, but it’s pretty organized and kept. I go here a little more often than I should, but it is worth it!

Yikes, their Phở Xe Lua was not on point! Broth lacked a deep flavor profile of a quality bone broth. The noodles, though the texture was right, had a musty taste to it like a moist towel sitting out too long. The meat was mediocre and on the skimpy side. Flavors were on the blander wide. I think MSG was used. That night my mouth was dry. I concede: I’m a snob with phở, having grown up on the west coast in San Jose and spending a good amount of time eating the Vietnamese food in Westminster/Garden Grove. Maybe phở is not the speciality? I will try their noodle dishes next time.

I’m not a huge fan of viet but I must say, the food here is really good. Why 4 stars? They can clean their tables better. Before we sat down, there was a large piece of something … On the table. My bf and I came around 3pm yesterday, Saturday, it was packed with people. He ordered a huge bowl of phở and I got their pork chop, shredded pork and crab meat with rice and for our appetizer, we got their spring rolls. Their soup base for their phở is perfect. Not too salty and plenty of seasonings. Their rice dish could’ve had a bit less pepper because it did overpower the dish. Their pork chop was so flavorful that I didn’t need to add anything else to it. The crab meat was very odd looking at first as it legit looks like a rectangular chunk of something … But my bf got me to try some and omg it was very good… Lol Their spring rolls were super yummy. They weren’t oily at all and the skin was very thin. Total price came out to around $ 26? Not too bad for lunch :) Will be back again!

Long story short. I was not particularly fond with the service here. Had to fight to make myself noticeable; made all kinds of ridiculous hand gestures to get someone to notice me. It wasn’t that busy in there… at all! The Phở that I ordered, took ridiculously long to arrive as well. and the egg rolls were too dry and bland. In fact, it took so long, I had forgotten to take a picture of it like I normally do, because I was that hungry. I know, can you believe it? BUT! I did get a picture of the egg rolls!

*CASHONLY*(There’s a ugly hand written sign) NYC is on a Phở kick and Phobang Restaurant makes it very well. My buddy swears by this place and comes here to dig on the spring rolls. Me? I think the Vietnamese iced coffee being served here is something very addictive… I don’t know Phở that well, I do know its a hot noodle tasty treat. If you want authentic Phở? Phobang Restaurant should be your destination.

You couldn’t pay me enough to ever go back to Phở 32 again, and unlike Chinatown, Flushing isn’t all that phở joint-friendly. One of my best friends is Vietnamese and he has always sworn to never eat out at a phở place – until recently. Guess all that fun nagging worked. Of course, he didn’t order phở. We came here last weekend when it was pouring and there was really no better food to get than a hot bowl of noodle soup. Dozens of others thought the same, because this place was packed when we came in the afternoon. The 3 of us were put in a table with a family – just like dim sum-style. Since my friend communicated to them in Vietnamese(not saying they’re indifferent towards Chinese), service was excellent. Food came out in a timely matter and they checked up on us to make sure everything went well. I ordered the Dac Biet and I loved it. There was enough of their thinly-sliced meat and the broth was light, but tasty. One of my friends was still not full after a bowl, so he ordered a Roast Beef Banh Mi. I had a little bit and it is by far, one of the best banh mis I’ve ever had. The baguette was toasty and warm and there were many ingredients. Not much cha siu but it was filling, to say the least. It’s not really ideal to go to Flushing solely for phở, but it’s one of the options you have when you’re not craving Chinese.

Good phở is hard to find, Great phở even harder. Well, you can stop looking! Great Phở is served here at «PhoBang» on Kissena Blvd! Parking in the area is difficult to say the least, but its worth the hassle to get your hands on great tasting Phở! The façade of the restaurant is nothing fancy, actually it’s quite plain. The inside décor of the restaurant is extremely rustic and tables and chairs are truly old school plain and boring. They don’t get any bonus points for decorating. The Phở is great! the real Magic is the Awesomeness I call«Phở broth» There are many phở restaurants in the area but by far these guys have the«formula» for boiling up some serious flavor! The broth is not too oily or salty and you get that nice beefy earthy phở broth aroma and taste. The beef are thinly sliced and separated nicely in your bowl. I have been to other places where the beef is slapped in piles and served up, Oh no no! These guys do it right and the cuts of meat have the right ratio of lean/fat. The spring and summer roll appetizers are a must have, The grilled chicken or pork cops served over rice are most excellent! The«Nuoc Cham»(fish sauce) is perfectly seasoned for this rice dish, pour a little or a lot, this is some serious delish fish sauce. Another great thing about this place is the Phở always comes out piping hot! The meat cooks in no time, score! The Vietnamese slow drip coffee is a must have as well. They also give you a small thermos filled with hot water so you can add more water to the coffee drip. Like I mentioned earlier, parking is difficult but there is a private lot around the block on 41st Ave. behind the restaurant. Sometimes its worth the few dollars to pay for parking than driving yourself crazy looking for a spot. In the immortal words and lyrics of «Nat King Cole» Revised«TC edition» — «Un-Phở-gettable, That’s what you are, Un-Phở-gettable Tho’ near or far. Like a bowl of Phở that clings to me, How the thought of your Phở does things to me. Never before has Phở been more…» I’m sure you got the point, you can fill in the rest. :)
