Newkorea Town Plaza

First… Unilocal!needs to change the name to New Korean Town Plaza. Put a space between New and Korean. That’s the store’s name and that’s what the sign says. I’ve shopped at the store but I needed to use GOOGLE maps to find it online today.
It’s a fantastic store. Terrific selection of housewares and home accessories. They carry brands most of us have never seen before. Pots, pans, rice cookers, utensils. I purchased knives, scissors, a great water bottle and an insulated thermos for my coffee. Last time I was at the store there were two very fashionable Asian (Korean?) women trying on fur (fake…I guess) vests. There was another woman at the skin care counter at the back of the store.
I can’t find a website so you just need to take a ride to 159^th St on Northern Blvd and check out the store. It’s very cool with a lot of cool merchandise. Like so many things in Queens… it’s a cultural adventure.

For all Asian appliances this is the place to go. Every time I come here I find something new that seems necessary for life. From water boilers to pots and pans to other home accessories such as tea sets, this place never seems to disappoint. Although the price isn’t as good as what you would find elsewhere (a dollar or two more), they seem to have everything you need in one place, saving gas and time. Don’t forget. it’s important to support these local businesses. You can’t find good customer service unless you look in a place like this.
