Leiser’s Liquors

By far the best selection of wines and the best prices anywhere. This was my first outing here and the staff were not very receptive. They seem like they would rather be somewhere else. To say that they are not very enthusiastic would be an understatement.
They have quite an extensive and good French, Italian, S American and California section. The stars are for the selection and prices. Staff get 2 stars.

I always shop at the store but a friend of mine was in need of Champagne, to be specific it was the Mumm Napa Brut Rose. Pretty pricey item in Manhattan, i suggested that he called Leisiers and check if they had the item. Well let me just say that the price for bottle delivered to his house was reasonable but they fed ex the liquor to Manhattan. The website transaction was fast and within 5 minutes he had a confirmation of his transaction. What can i say these guys are my favorite to go to store for any wine and or spirits i need. I made a believer out of my friend and i believe he too will be a loyal customer even though he lives in Manhattan. These guys are always my first choice for party supplies like wine and spirits and their selection is excellent.

I called the store phone number about ordering online and picking up my order at the store location.
The gentleman that answered said that they had no store pickups but said that I could come to the store to buy wine. I advised him that I preferred to buy online since their web prices are substantially lower. He said that I couldn’t do that so I asked for the store manager. He said he was the manager and said that he wasn’t willing to allow online pickups at the store. I told him that other liquor stores I’ve purchased from allow online orders to be picked up at the store and he said that I better keep shopping at those stores then!
The «store manager» was extremely rude and I recommend not going here if you want to support a store that cares about customer treatment. It’s not worth saving a buck to shop with them.

Great selection. This is where I come to pick up a bottle of decent scotch. You can’t find Lagavulin everywhere

One of the cheapest liquor stores that’s not located in a dangerous neighborhood and where you don’t have to talk to the clerk through bulletproof glass. Another positive is their own parking lot. The staff is not friendly, but who cares when you’re buying liquor.

I just have to say, I had one of the best customer experiences in my entire life when I went into leisers liquors on Christmas eve. On that day I frantically entered the store very stressed out from holiday shopping and not knowing what to get. As soon as I entered the store, I was greeted with a very warm and friendly smile from a young gentle man, I remember his name was andrew because it is the same as mine. I asked him if he could recommend a good bottle of wine for me to give as a gift. He seemed extremely knowledgeable and eager to help me out so I listened to what he had to say. He recommended me getting a bottle of silver oak which my father in law ended up loving and also recommended me picking up the Bola 4 pack gift sets. I ended up getting 4 of those in which my family loved. Andrew then rang me up and wished me and my family a great holliday. I will definitely be going back to leisers just because of Andrew and will recommend leisers to any one that I meet because of the service I received from Andrew. It is hard to find stores with such intelligent and kind people, especially in that area.

This has been my liquor store since I was a kid.
Check that — since I was a 21 year old… but that was a long, long time ago. Anyways, everywhere I go in the country, I check out other liquor stores (I swear I don’t have a problem): CA, NC, LA, MA, NJ, PA, CT, LV, etc. I’ve never once found a liquor store with better pricing than Leiser’s. Makes me feel good to know that I’ve got the best spot to pick up single malt whiskey, top shelf (or plastic jug) spirits, and wines from places like Cockburn’s and Dry Sack (ha! maybe I AM still a kid) just blocks away from home.
The only downside? An eensy-​weensy parking lot located roughly 30 feet from a relatively busy intersection. This can be a problem, especially during peak times like, say, New Year’s Eve. If you can, bring a friend who you can drop off to make the purchase and just pull the car over somewhere and wait. Otherwise, you’ll be at the mercy of some random stranger’s command of high school math and physics as they try to reverse right, forward left, reverse right, forward left, reverse right, forward left out of their parking spot. Did I mention that there is only one entrance/​exit to the lot?

Leiser’s Liquors really blew my mind! I must say, I am so impressed with such a selection they provide here. Excellent price and selection!
My friends and I came here almost at closing time, looking for drinks for our barbecue party the next day. We are thankful for the free parking lot right behind the store for customers. When I walked in, my jaw dropped just saying «wow» the entire time. They have everything from hard liquor, sake, soju, and wine from different regions (I didn’t see beer, though?!?). The prices are very generous compared to the outside stores. You are getting a very good deal on all the liquor you need. I am a wine drinker and I found the Polka Dot White Wine that I was looking for A LONG TIME. It was here all along!!! The Riesling selection was impressive with selections coming from a wide variety of regions! We also bought a small bottle of soju which was around $ 3.00. AWESOME! The staff member I interacted with was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also knew when to give me enough space and time just to explore and figure out what I wanted.
I will definitely come back here before my next summer party!

Great prices for when you are on a budget. Most wine prices are less than $ 10. We were able to get a mixture of white/​red/​sparkling for less than $ 100.

This place really deserves like a 3.5 rather than a 3. They have a website but anything that I buy is never really the same if I buy it in person. It is always a $ 3 – 5 difference which is no big deal because it’s still lower priced than many of the other places. I don’t get why they do that.
I also wish I could have picked up my order but maybe I’m just expecting amazon style stuff. I’m sticking with my 3.5 and will update to a 4 if they start allowing pick up or updating prices

Relatively big place, many different options, prices cheap. Can’t complain. Never asked for wine selection help though as I know a thing or two about wine.

Excellent prices and selection. It’s nice to see a store with a wide selection of wine AND liquor as Manhattan shops tend to favor one over the other. They really do have the best prices in the area. You can get away with spending anywhere from $ 5-​$ 20 on a bottle.
Four stars off for TERRIBLE customer service. I live very close by and an older gentleman has always been rude to me because I have a PA license. I know I look young and that vendors are just trying to protect their business from sneaky minors. That said, I have REPEATEDLY had to explain that not everyone is a NY resident and that I just have a PA ID along with insurance/​credit cards/​various other photo IDs in my name for reference. His fellow employee (another older guy) has even told him, «Yes, this is a legitimate ID from PA.» Once, this same employee even had the audacity to say, «Come back when you’re 21.» Okay, sir, I am happily 23 and will take my business elsewhere. Just a shame because it is a good store. Just don’t expect any kind of courtesy or logic here.

I went to Leiser’s because of its ad campaign on TV. I have to admit, they were on point with the «Great selection and good prices» claim in their advertisement.
What I think falls short is the customer service and interactivity with its customers. For being open since the crash at Roswell. you’d expect Leiser’s to be something more than just a large version of your corner liquor store. The staff rarely interact with customers (unless you seem to be loitering in the store due to your indecisive nature or you’re ready to pay) which is a shame because they actually are knowledgeable! Also, I’ve never experienced any kind of tasting here. (Correct me if I’m wrong.) Even the liquor stores connected to Costco (
) and National Wholesale Liquidators (
) — who, btw have comparable prices manage to squeeze in a tasting or two.

There is both bad and good with these guys– I avoid them after my experience. I usually purchase Yamazaki 12 year from these guys, but was in the mood for the 18 year. their price was pretty high, about 180 something. A quick google search showed stores in Manhattan for about 135 or so. Since I wasnt in Manhattan i dont mind paying a slight premium– but $ 45– C’mon. Spoke with the guy at the counter– he told me I needed a paper flyer. Really? I showed you on my phone… I didnt expect the same price, but at least work with your customers, I go there at least one a month to buy the 12 year. End result: I paid the 180 $, but it was my last purchase from the place. I’ll go out of my way to avoid them.

These guys are the best in the area of you want to get your drink on.
They have aisles and aisles of alcoholic goodness. From wine to champagne to the finest of spirits they have it all.
They’ve been open since 1947 and have been my go to place in queens for about 10 years. They have the absolute best pricing and by far the best staff around.
If you need a gift or just a bottle of scotch after a long day Leiser’s is the place for you.
Now pardon me while I give this glass of single malt my undivided attention.

Long story short — the selection is super, and the prices are noticeably lower than others in the area. (One extreme case: bottle of Savory & James sherry, $ 10 at Leiser’s /​$ 17 at shop in Manhattan.)
They’ve got all the usual suspects in wines and liquors, as well as some nods to the area with various kinds of Korean soju, Japanese plum wines, etc. You actually FEEL WEIRD walking out with just 1 or 2 bottles of something.
The guys who work there are multitudinous and helpful. Leiser’s is surprisingly crowded during weekends and plain jam-​packed before holidays: When congressing with family, you need all the booze you can get.
