Candy is very good. Can’t speak any English. The place is not so clean. The girl in the front is very nice and polite

I use to go to king spa a lot when it was new, the venue is clean and well cared for and organized well. It is very atmospheric and cozy and has all the amenities you’d find in the spa houses in Korea(korea’s is much cheaper of course due to how many there are). Expect to get naked in front of your fellows of the same sex in the bath and locker portion. However now king spa is incredibly popular and on weekends and holidays it’s an absolute mad house. I would highly recommend avoiding because whatever relaxation you’ll find is gone when you have to climb over people for a decent sauna spot and chair seats. The food also took a very big nose dive, I ordered the bibimbap and it was atrocious. Flavorless and the rice tasted old and for a mostly raw dish it was simultaneously over cooked. I would recommend eating better Korean food on the neighboring broad street or fort lee because their Korean food is not only rivaling in price but infinitely better in taste. Their wifi is also nonexistent or so slow it may as well not exist. The difference between weekend and weekday is like night and day. Come during the weekday, you’ll thank me. Pro’s: –free shuttle service in ktown and flushing. First come first serve and free with a king spa pass. The old men who drive you around may not be that nice but they are efficient and get you there at good time. Can’t snuff at free convenience for their clientele. –the smoothies are fantastic at the juice bar. –good size bath house: still a mad house on the weekend… avoid. –good relaxation rooms, prepare to fight ppl on weekends though. –overnight stays are just 10 $ extra and is generally 24 hours Con’s: –weekend is awful –restaurant food is subpar –the massage part I hear is overpriced and not good –weekend is awful

My wife asked me if I wanted to go with her and her friends to get a foot massage. I said sure why not! Little did I know she had a membership with King Spa for over 2 years! This must be part of that«Secret society of women» No wonder you girls always go to the bathroom together and take forever to come back! LANGUAGEALERT! The staff is limited in English, so I would advise you to bring a Mandarin speaking friend to translate, one things for sure your friend will not have to help you translate when you’re in pain since words like«Ouch and Owie!» Is pretty universal. The«Sifu»(Master foot massager) will also take cues from your facial expression if they are applying too much pressure to your feet and calf. Grimacing in pain is expected, screaming in agony like your passing kidney stones, not so much. After soaking your feet in some really hot water and salts the Sifu oils up your feet and really gets down to every nook and cranny of your toes, feet, calf and shins. I give the Sifu much respect, «kneading» a strangers feet for an hour must be exhausting to say the least. I know they offer other services like full or partial body massages. Parking to come here is a big pain. There is a private indoor parking lot on the same block if you want to avoid the hassle of finding a spot or meter. A great foot massage with free facial contortions thrown in at no extra charge!

Pushy, rude business approach, and decent massage. I would not go back. Very basic space. Much effort by masseuse but my old masseuses know the body better and how to hit just the right places to ease pain and also communicate better. King Spa masseuse speaks no English. Also DIDNOTASKME before twisting and cracking my neck. If done wrong, this action can of course paralyze someone. It makes me highly uncomfortable. The front woman, who spoke some English, is all about trying to get you to fork over cash in advance for services you haven’t received… she calls it membership. She also will try to take advantage of you about price. She charged more per minute for 90 minutes than for 60, which of course penalizes you for using more of their services. I can do math. THEN she tried to MANDATE A TIPAMOUNT(when I’d tipped nicely based on price and services) BUTSHEDIDNOTDISCUSS A MANDATORYTIPUPFRONT. If you haven’t caught this, in essence, the price is NOT what they say, but you SHOULDONLYPAYWHATWASAGREEDUPFRONT, plus WHATYOUTHINKAPPROPRIATE in tip… no matter how they BULLY you. Maybe pushy business practice works in China but that is not the American way and is ESPECIALLY not appreciated when the point of massage is relaxation. GOELSEWHERE.
