I wouldn’t consider their round hollow treats bagels. They’re actually quite big to be a bagel, and when you bite into one they are light, fluffy, and very doughy(if that’s even a word) — A real jaw strengthening exercise. In fact, based on the description I would really consider them more like dinner rolls. However, this is not a bad thing — in fact, I’d consider JK to be one of a kind. Now, I’ve tried their everything bagel & wasn’t really impressed, I really just go for their plain bagels with butter. Pick one up when they are out of the oven fresh & it’s truly outstanding. Putting the word bagels in the name of their business makes me reluctant to give them a five star rating. Unfortunately, ‘JK Dinner Rolls’ doesn’t seem to work, so it’s ok to keep calling them bagels as long as they keep making them delicious.

This is the best bagel shop in the area, probably in all of Queens. As mentioned, the bagels are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Most mornings, you’ll get them still hot and I think they have just the right amount of toppings(garlic, poppy seed, etc.) The ice coffee and cheese danishes are also good. Only in NYC can you have such great bagels being made by Koreans. Just awesome!

The only thing worse then the bagels is the attitude of the woman behind the counter. Those of you who said that they have the best bagels in Queens either work there or this is the first time you ever ate a bagel. There is a much better option less then a mile away. Rude and pushy service, she makes you feel like you’re bothering her by ordering a bagel. And whatever you do, don’t ask to have your bagel completely cut in half, they look at you like you’re crazy. Terrible, terrible service and bagels. Wish I could give it 0 stars.

JK Bakery is No Joke Best fresh bagels in Queens You know a good bagel when you don’t even have to toast it. The skin is crisp and chewy The inside is soft and yeasty. If you get a sliced lox bagel with cream cheese, a fresh individual package of lox is opened right in front of you. A neighborhood gem and Flushing landmark. They are super fast bagel preppers too.

Omg what a place! This little shop is run by Koreans and who knew they made such great bagels? Fresh bagels made daily and sometimes they’ll give you a hot freshly made one from the back instead of the ones already out in the front. They are pretty big and the best part: crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I kid you not! They aren’t like other bagel shops to have a variety of things. It’s just bagels, muffins, croissants, rolls, and some danish. They have the basic cream cheese, butter, and jelly. Cant recall if they have cream cheese with lox or veggies. I think they used to. They have great iced and hot coffee that isn’t too sweet or too spicy(is that the right word to use???) Sometimes it can get a bit crowded and the people who work there can seem rude/annoyed but they aren’t at all. It’s def worth it to come here for a bagel. you won’t regret it

This is a great hole in the wall local bagel joint. My wife grew up on these bagels and we have to stop by every time we are in New York. After having tried them I can see why. New York bagels are definitely the best and this is the best of the best.

I always get a bagel with butter and jelly or cream cheese with jelly. The bagel tastes amazing and delicious.

Best bagels I have ever had. My usual go to stop can’t be compared to this place. I never had such soft and chewy bagels in my life. Definitely, going back to get a weekly supply of bagels. The only thing is that they don’t have my favorite bagel.

JK Bakery has great bagels. However, there are a few problems. The toppings on the everything bagels are a little burnt, she never cuts through the bagel, and she never uses enough cream cheese. I know I’m a pain but I take my bagels seriously.

This place is something special. They only sell bagels and really nothing much else. Hot bagels are served every morning from 6AM, and these people start baking at 3AM. Despite most people thinking they’re just really great«Korean bagel,» it used to be a Jewish bakery and they’re keeping up the tradition. It’s as classic and traditional as a bagel can get. Sesame and onion bagels are my personal favorites, and when you’re there during the morning hours, the manager there complains in Korean when you ask for cream cheese or butter on your bagel because it takes too long and there are so many people lined up to get those hot bagels. But truth be told, these hot bagels don’t need anything on. they’re actually really good on their own, and can you say the same about those bagels from supermarkets? Definitely worth the wait for the fresh bagels. Make sure to ask for the hot bagels.

Best. Bagels. I’ve ever. EVER. Had. Try to get them nice and fresh in the morning when they’re still soft and mushy. This place is family-run and knows their bagels. I’ve never had any bagels like theirs. I don’t know if it’s a style or the ingredients they use because the bagels don’t even look like other bagels on the inside. Definitely worth buying a bagful. And, their muffins? SOSO good and I don’t even like muffins. Definitely worth a visit for breakfast or to get a bag of bagels to take home. I recommend to all: bagel lovers and those not sure about bagels worldwide. This is the place to go.

There is a nice, beckoning«Hot Bagels» sign that drew me in here — that sign should be taken down immediately. The bagels aren’t hot. What’s more, if you’re looking for a hard roll, you’re in luck, because what they sell sure aren’t real bagels here, despite assurances that their«bagels» are boiled. Really? Hmmm… I have serious doubts. Variety: slim pickings(they do have plain). And if you want cream cheese, you’re in luck; they’ll be happy to open one of their little tubs of Philly cream cheese and spread some for you — but only a tiny bit! Since it’s a bakery I thought I’d help tame my appetite with a blueberry muffin. Take my word for it: *don’t* order their muffins. In addition to being heavy and greasy, there is no way for them to grill, heat or toast them. Sorry, so sorry. Want some tea? Lipton for you!!! Coffee? Yes they serve coffee, I cannot lie. But I don’t think you’ll be going back for it. Get the picture? If you want a hard roll & a Snapple, then this place is Xanadu. But I can hardly see how they are competing in this world with businesses that actually know how to do their job well. Next time I’ll journey a couple miles further for some quality bakery items. This place is a depressing waste of time.

My favorite bagels in NYC! Now to all those traditional NY bagel purist, this is not your traditional NYC bagel, but its better! I’ll probably get a lot of hate for this but its just my simple opinion. The bagels here at JK are crispy on the outside and super soft in the middle. They’re not your specialty bagel shop with flavored cream cheeses, lox and very many types of bagels. Its just a simple bagel shop churning out great bagels. They’re Korean owned as well! Yeah… a Korean shop making amazing bagels, go figure!

The most consistent bagel place I’ve been to for the past … Forever … Their bagels are sooooo good. Chewy, crunchy, bready, bagely… You get the point. They do NOT toast their bagels. The best time to go is early morning when the bagels are still hot. Bagels are still good next day and you can toast at home :) Prices are unbeatable, 10000% better and more worth it then Dunkin donuts. Only thing is that it’s kind of out of the eat but there’s an HMart right next door so why not!!!
