I would say thanks a lot to the whole imperial studio. My wedding day was last month. I booked the package with lily as my makeup artist for the engagement shoot and wedding day, she was a great makeup artis, leo as my great MC and Lydia really helped me as my second makeup artis on wedding day. Yen and lydia was helped me a lot for all advices since first time i came to them till my wedding day, and the photographers who did a great job. They have a good prices too for a variance package of bridal with a good quality, i can say this because i already compared with the others. Imperial studio is higly recomended!

When we booked Imperial Studio, we thought they were catering to Asian Americans. However, this is not the case! After meeting with the photographer and doing the engagement photos, we realized that they are more towards traditional Asians (with the types of poses they wanted us to do and after having conversations with the photographer). What was also very rude of them was for one of their owners (yen)to asked us how much we tipped everyone at the end of the day and demanded more because they have a minimum «suggested tip». It was very UNPROFESSIONAL since during the consultation, tipping is based on our discretion. Please be aware of their «minimum tipping policies» and meet with the photographer/​videographer before hiring so you know what you are getting yourself in to.

Great experience with imperial wedding studio. The customer service is excellent. I had no complaint at all. They helped me a lot on choosing the dresses. My make up was fabulous by Lily Wong. Photos are pretty and it provides more for cheaper price than any other studio. Will definitely recommend it.

Lily did my makeup for my wedding last year, i asked for her after seeing her do my friend’s wedding makeup. She is the best and I recommended her to 2 of my good friends for their wedding makeup! Its all word of mouth and it shows how wonderful she is. She focused on detail and really listens to what you want, and she was early for our meeting! I loved the natural look that she gave me and i loved how i looked in all the pictures because of her. I normally dont wear makeup and she made sure i was comfortable. Highly recommend, love her work.

I came to Imperial Studio with my friend as part of her bridal entourage. We wanted to see if there were any dresses that caught here eye first before we committed to a package deal. All the dresses looked… well, cheap. VERY cheap. Plastic heap. Ugly cheap.
She tried on a few dresses and we decided to call it a day… Off to the boutiques for us! At least I’ll know my for myself in the future!

We want to thank the whole Imperial Studio team in helping us plan a very smooth and enjoyable wedding. Overall, we were impressed by how well imperial studio managed our wedding and we think that they are very experienced at what they do and communicated well with us throughout the planning process. Alvin — our pre wedding photographer was amazing. Spent many hours shooting beautiful pictures of us and was extremely enthusiastic throughout the day.
Leo — helped us plan the step by step details of our wedding. Suggested many great ideas and music for our ceremony and our reception.
Johnny — our emcee was superb. He was experienced, funny, professional, and got the crowd going at the right moments. Given our wedding was full of activities during the reception, Johnny kept the crowd under control and helped us stay on track of our program for the night. He also spoke fluent Chinese/​English and didn’t miss a single Chinese name when introducing our relatives. Highly recommended!
Anthony– as our officiant, we couldn’t have asked for anything more! He went above and beyond from getting to the venue extra early to fast email responses to giving guests instructions during the ceremony. He was very eloquent and managed the ceremony perfectly. Highly recommended!
James– our videographer did an awesome job with our wedding video, we were glad that we had every moment during our big day recorded clearly. The highlight video was also very enjoyable to watch! Great choice in music!
Raymond– our photographer helped captured great photos during the whole day and even managed to have an outdoor photo shoot with us before the guests arrived. The photos turned out very natural and we received the photos very quickly.

If you want to be the most beautiful bride and have a unforgettable fantastic wedding, you have to come here!!! There are many different variety of wedding dresses (In-​door & Out-​door), gowns, and the most importantly — the MAKE-​UP & Hair-​Style. I’ve been thru many wedding ceremonies and heard different feedback from the brides, none of the Asian Wedding Studio could do better than this studio. People are very patient and nice to help you try on and pick the dresses for your wedding ceremony. Their wedding planner called Leo, he really knows how you want your wedding ceremony goes and just make it happened. I have 8 pairs of bridesmaids and groomsmen, plus 4 parents; we got HUMMER Limo, DJ, MC-​Johnny did a very great job on my wedding ceremony, photographers, etc. My make-​up artist — Lily Wong made me the most beautiful bride! She knows what kinds of make up and hair style is suitable for you, of course, in the trendy way. Their cosmetics tools are very clean, all of our skins didn’t break out after that. I heard some other store didn’t sterilize the make-​up tools and just use that on your face which really disgusted me. Yen is very good too, all of my bridesmaids are very satisfied with her make up and I like it too. The most important things is their attitude is really good. I’m a very picky girl especially in the service industry (you can check my other Unilocal reviews) and I DO recommend this place! If you don’t want your wedding guests have a negative feedback on your wedding, go to this studio!

One word. Horrible. The service was so bad, I wanted to leave 10 minutes in. When we walked in, no one helped us so we just stood there like idiots. We had to ask for service. Then the lady started running through the packages and pictures. We spoke to 3 different ladies and all 3 didn’t sound like they didn’t know what they were talking about. We basically repeated ourselves 3 times and they were rushing. The video, mc and pictures were pretty bad. It was very shaky and the mc sounded boring. They were very unprofessional. They showed us the packages and basically read off the paper and didn’t explain much. We know how to read. All I gotta say is that we wasted our time coming here.

I came here with a friend of mine who employed their services. Do not come here if you are not at a «normal Asian» weight. My friend isn’t fat but couldn’t find many dresses that fit her. The sales people promised that they’d have many dresses that fit her and to come about 2 to 3 months prior to the wedding date. None of the styles she liked were in her size. The sales woman who was helping was also very unaccommodating and kept telling her to not listen to her friends when it was obviously her who was misunderstanding and unhelpful. When my friend asked about ordering the dress she wanted, they told her that it would take at least 3 or 4 months. This was obviously very upsetting. The brides maids dresses had visible holes in them. We understand that these are rental dresses but at least discard the ones with the very visible holes… Then, everyone was told they could come in for a fitting about 3 weeks prior to the wedding. When everyone arrived, they were told the dresses were not ready. We felt like it was disorganized. The pictures were also so so. Some turned out great and some were very disappointing.
The above were all of the cons…
The pro was that the wedding was a success despite all of the planning blunders. The make up artists were fantastic and helped with the dress situation. One was especially our favorite in terms of service but sorry… I don’t remember her name.
The ultimate question is… would I come here? My answer is no.

My wedding was in September, I am glad I picked imperial studio. Great service, very attentive and efficient staff. My photo album and video came out beautiful, I am very pleased with them.
Great shout out to LILY Wong and REX Wang, amazing amazing job on make up and photos! Lily is very professional and amazingly skilled, my make up last entire day! (I hike up to a mountain for engagement pictures, my makeup still look flawless!) Rex is awesome as well, hike up to the mountain with us without a single complain, captured tons of amazing shot for us! He is super talented! Me and my husband really really appreciate what they have done for us, highly recommended Imperial! 5 stars!

Imperial Studio recommended MC Sharon Shu Chan (
) for the wedding day MC. This review is NOT about the photography quality but this MC Sharon referral was a big fat mistake.
Here’s a short summary of everything that went wrong at the wedding thanks to their recommendation.
(1) MC Sharon can not even pronounce or read the family’s Chinese name. She should probably get that sorted instead of reading the list for the first in time especially if her Cantonese is NOT accurate. Needless to say she butchered everyone’s Chinese name bc she messed up a shared character in all the names. What an embarrassment for the family!
(2) Not only did MC Sharon screw up the Chinese part, she had to beg another MC to help her with the English part! So she sucked in Chinese and English?!
(3) MC Sharon left her business card at every table. Really, how unprofessional
(4) MC Sharon wore a horrific outfit. If you are going to be an MC, try to be discrete and professional dressed. If the men are wearing suit, she can at least wear something more classy.
(5) MC Sharon constantly laugh loudly into the microphone. We really didn’t need to hear her weird laughing amplified in those beyond loud speakers.
(6) MC Sharon’s DJ was blasting the music at 100+ decibels and he was sitting BEHIND the loud speakers so he was clueless how loud the music was. He played some music off his laptop and was constantly on his phone. This drove the guests to leave the wedding early.
(7) MC Sharon’s DJ didn’t even adjust the volume when the family was making a speech. Pretty bad sound system and coordination of the event. Needless to say the guests couldn’t even hear the speech.
(8) MC Sharon didn’t create an atmosphere where guests want to dance. In fact people couldn’t stand how loud the place was and left early! No one can even have a decent conversation at the wedding without screaming.
I’ve been numerous wedding before and seriously MC Sharon ruined this last one I attended. Pretty classless. It’s up to you if you want to spend your money with them and have your wedding ruined. If Imperial Studio recommends this MC to you, make sure you tell them HELL NO.

So after going to several different asian wedding studios, we found Imperial Studio, and we never looked back.
Imperial Studio is a compelling choice, due to the complete all-​in-​one packages they offer. We got engagement photos, wedding photographers, videographers, DJ, MC, photobooth, wedding dress, groom and all groomsman tuxedos, all bridesmaid dresses, parents’ tuxedos and dresses, flower girl dress, ring bearer tuxedo, and even a hummer limo. The total cost for all of these features, if priced separately, costs a lot. I’m pleasantly surprised that Imperial Studios can offer them together at such an affordable price.
We met Yen during the first consultation, and she was very accommodating, attentively listened to what we need, and showed us tons of videos of different weddings. They also have several photographers/​videographers that we can choose from. It’s pretty nice to be able to see the works of different photographers, and compare them to find the one that we like.
As a side note, try to get Lily for makeup. Her work is superb. My wife and the bridesmaids loved the way she did her makeup and hair. Heck, she even did my hair, and made me look so good.
We went with Rex as our photographer, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. He took us to take cherry blossom pictures at a great location near flushing meadow park. My wife and I loved the angles he used during the Planting Field shoot. His technique is good in the way that he was able to capture a lot of emotions during those castle shots. Throughout the day, he was very professional and kept working, despite us continually offering him food and water… and it was a long day. We went to 4 locations (Flushing Meadow Park, Planting Fields, Oyster Bay Beach, and Brooklyn Bridge), and he photographed from 1pm to 9pm. Though he only speaks a semi-​adequate amount of english, I find that language was never an issue and we were able to tell him exactly the type of shots we wanted. We were very satisfied with the resulting photos. To say we were happy, is an understatement.
So for the wedding day, we got Leo and his female partner (Christine I think) for our MC. It was great because they basically tag-​teamed the whole day, simultaneously covering both cantonese and english. They were full of energy, and gave such a great vibe throughout the event. Most of our guests couldn’t stop raving about how much fun it was.
At the end of the day, wedding planning should be simple, and choosing Imperial Studio made our lives a whole lot easier. Less needing to coordinate with different vendors saved us so much time and sanity. Do what we did and go check out the other vendors in Flushing (Paris, True love, Princess, etc…) and see for yourself how much better of a deal Imperial Studio is.
Here’s a bit of a tip if you do plan to go with them, check out their wedding dresses, and tuxedos to make sure they have the style you like. They have a plethora of weddings to choose from. They also do free alterations to make sure every one fits in everything they provide.

We had very good experience with imperial studio. They offered us a very worthwhile package and their staffs are very zeal especially my make up stylist Lydia Ni. She helped me to change my dress and set up my hair style to match my dress in my wedding day. She is a very thoughtful and careful girl. Choose her to be your make up stylist and you won’t regret. Further more, the pictures that they took during the wedding day was fabulous. I love them so much.

I like this wedding studio. Makeup artist Lily is nice and skillful. She did a good job for my outdoor wedding photos. I look so pretty on the pics. Also all staffs are nice, no matter how difficult you are, they treat you nice and try to meet your requests.

Lucky me, I had found Lily Wong through a friend with little effort. What a gold find!!!
Lily is super amazing. She’s sweet, patient, attentive, professional, and talented! I can’t say enough nice things about her. My make up trial was 3 months before my wedding. I was very happy with the results. So of course I booked her for my wedding day!
Lily and her team are so great. Her prices are very reasonable in comparison to other MUAs out there. I’d book her again in a heartbeat!

Lily Wong was my makeup artist, she“ve done a incredible job for all my indoor n outdoor shootings; not to mention all the work on my big day :) thank you again. All the staff was very helpful and nice there. I got my package deal from yen she is very nice as well; Leo was my Mcee; he planed my whole wedding and created 3 fantastic slides shows for us; and he is very funny make my whole wedding feels like a big party. Everyone enjoyed my wedding. So girls go talk to them have them plan your big date; u won’t regret it :)

DON’T choose their service!
I chose my photo two months ago, and till now they don’t even give me a call. They said after I affirm the designing they will begin to print. Last time they called me to affirm the other poster and I asked about the designing, the girl said she had no clue.
It has been two month, really a long time. If I don’t call them today, I think they totally forget that my case is still unfinished. I was really pissed off.

Professional wedding studio!
I had the prewedding pictures with them. Just speak to Lily about what u want, where u want or how u want, she will make it up to u! Every dreams of yours will come true!
I found it in Unilocal and I went to the store. Since I m the picky one, only few can fulfill my desire. But so luckily, imperial is one of them. We had 2 days outdoor pictures.
Lily also do the make up and hair which is so perfect.
Their photographers Kevin and Rex are so nice and professional.
Only thing u have to arrange is the bouquet. They will make all the accessories for ur photoshoot. It was so perfect after all. Thank you Imperial!
