Citibank

I’ve never had any bad experiences at this branch, and I come here often. I’d choose this branch over the one on Main Street ANYDAY. Whenever I come here, the wait time is usually 5 minutes? It goes by pretty quick. Most of the tellers are very professional except for this one lady. Idk how to describe her other than the Hispanic lady in her 30s. Every time I see her, she looks like she’s over her job. Never smiles even when you’re polite. Always having side conversations (last time she was casually having a convo with another teller (about her week) while handling my bank account!) that’s why I won’t give the full 5.

I had to visit this location for my mother who had gone here to exchange a few thousand dollars from Canadian to USD. It was actually for my sibling, who has an account at this Citibank location. So this so called «new teller» had forgotten to give back $ 200 of the $ 9000 when he had returned her envelope, stating that she needed a personal account to exchange that much currency. My mother made 2 mistakes 1) being she left her eyes off the envelope and the cash when she was directed to a representative of some sort and 2) she did not count her money once the envelope was back in her possession. She realized at home that there was $ 200 missing and I had called customer support who then transferred me over to this location. Customer support was in touch with these guys first and they really couldn’t explain the story to me before transferring me, she seemed very dumbfounded .They actually admitted to having the $ 200 because I had given them the guys name and I’m assuming they had questioned this person. Apparently, this «new teller» was so excited that he was about to open a new account that he mistakenly forgot to put $ 200 back into the envelope. It was the day before Thanksgiving this year, so I just believed their B.S. story and got the money back the day after Thanksgiving. When I had gone into this location to get the $ 200 back from the manager, she didn’t even apologize. The teller wasn’t at his station either. What I really should have done was report this location for an internal audit. The place reeked of shady unprofessional business. This just left a sour taste for me to ever consider Citibank as a service provider.

fast service without any hassles. i do most of my banking online so i dont need to go to a branch unless i have to. this is my local branch i most frequent and they get the job done fast and easy everytime.

I have to agree with the other reviewer. This is one of the worst banks I’ve ever been to in NYC. The staff walks around like they’ve been hired through divine appointment. You’re bank tellers, not princesses! Hassle after hassle when doing any non ATM transactions. It’s actually been like this as long as I can remember, even way back to the 1990’s. Terrible.

OMG. They treated me like I was at an immigration customs; lookin at my two id’s the banker tells me are you sure this is your account, what an idiot. Standing behind bullet proof mirror like a checks cash office.
