First off, I’m a little creeped out that Unilocal knows I came here since I never looked this place up on Unilocal… been coming here for a few years due to a friend’s recommendation… but since Unilocal says I should write a review for the place, I guess I will
The facials are top notch. Annie does a great job most of the time. I come here because she only uses Decleor products and my skin feels pretty good for a few weeks after. Like most Chinese facial places, she will dig into your pores until she thinks your blackheads are all gone and your face is fantabulous. I have had to tell her a number of times if it’s not budging, just let it go… not worth potential scabbing in my book.
You aren’t going to get a hotel spa experience here, but if that is what you are looking for, you shouldn’t be looking for it in Flushing.
They will push their products hard. This is where they make the most margin on and stay in business. I will buy something from time to time since I’ve been coming here for years now but they are indeed very aggressive in trying to get you to buy something. If you don’t want it, just say no. They will also try to sell you on a 10-​card package. These are good deals if you live nearby, but if you do not, it can feel like an obligation.
Overall, I like this place and hope they will be here for a long time. I wish they were closer to where I live or had easier parking, but you can’t have everything. I wish I could undo my last visit though — my rental car ended up getting towed and I ended up $ 300 out of pocket for a facial. Ugh

Well, I don’t quite agree with the past posts. Of course the gentleman at this shop have the incentive to sell their products. Go to any business and you will face the same situation. He may have been too forward to one customer in the past but that is subjective, is it not? The FACTS are, however, that he was doing his job by being helpful, and if she has dry skin, he was just telling her the truth from his experience as a beauty consultant for fifteen years. I was not there but I doubt he was holding a gun to her face! Lol
I think they have some really great experience working with skin care and I would recommend this place for its great VALUE: Decent Price and Flexible, Committer Customer Service.
They speak English and Chinese.
I think, it has some worthwhile products from Switzerland and France worth checking out if you are ever in the neighborhood.
I got the facial for me and my best friend for her birthday. It was a good time. The place is up to date, and the A.C. is a nice break from the Summer Heat! Definitely coming back before end of summer to clean up.

obv some of the owners’ friends are prompted to write here. i gave these people TWO chances to give me a proper eyelash perm. first time, i was told the girl wasn’t an expert in it, that’s why it didn’t work– um, then why provide me with such a person to potentially burn my lashes out? second time, the owner’s wife did it, and the lashes were still pin straight. i had so much glue on them that it took 2 days to clean out. she provided me with 3 excuses: my lashes were too «thick,» i needed to come back again and again (and throw more of my money away) for it to work, and, finally, she claimed they were curly! it’s amazing the bs that came out of this woman. i kept showing her in the mirror that they were straight and weighed down from the glue! and i’ve done perms before where they came out with a perfect curl.
disappointing, and she demanded TIP on top of it all! i laughed and informed her that tip was a privilege, not only did she waste my time and travel, but i didn’t need to be lied to in the face if you clearly just suck at the job.
with a tiny sign in the back of the register saying no refunds, i wondered why until now. thieves, stay away!

Agreed with the first post. The owners are very pushy and aggressive with sales. But the facial there is good. I’m so turned off by their pushiness that I haven’t gone back since my 10 package was used up.

If you ever stumble upon this humble beauty house, only make an appointment with sammie.
this is a very clean place, fairly new, and mainly uses european skin care products. mainly decleor. Set aside about 2 hours for a facial. Actually set aside the rest of the weekend to let your face heal.
on a wall, you can see tons of photos, the owner has taken with Hong Kong celebs. Like trying to say, she was the make up artist for them or was associated with them in some way. But really, I don’t care about that stuff until you prove your service to me. i had three different people give me facials. only sammie wasn’t pushy and gives the best facials. her hands are really soft and massages realllllly well. they also massage your neck, a little bit of the back and chest. the owner and the other girl who works there are far below in service among other things that compromises with their professionalism and skill.
i bought the 500 acne facial package for 10 times. but they were so aggressive with the business. they keep encouraging me to come once a week. at that time, i was new to the whole thing, so i really did almost come once a week. which was totally unnecessary. the only honest person in there is sammie. when her bosses weren’t there, she would tell me, your skin is improving and such. They try to encourage you to buy products you dont really need. they act like you’re a stupid customer. they ask about your personal life, to get to ‘know’ you, to ‘befriend’ you but they’re really digging for details of how much you make and other things. usually it’s the owners who do this. it’s owned by this one couple. the only person who is not like that is sammie, but she is not the owner. so she’s like watching what she says around them sometimes. they also sometimes give you samples to try.
keep in mind, just because you booked an appt at 2, you won’t always be attended to on the dot. that didn’t really bother me and they would have relaxing music in the spa room. i would fall asleep sometimes. the spa room has three beds. so you’re sharing the space with other customers sometimes. the mid-​age asian women who work there love to gossip. and im there to relax, so this is really annoying. i wasn’t trying to be racist, just giving a reference. just stating the facts. there was also this one time when the owner’s son came into the spa room, where the women were topless with towels over their chests! he was like 8 at that time, and he came so close to my face, i felt a spit when he tried to say something. I thought that was soooo unprofessional letting him into the spa room!
ok, let’s try to get to the pros. my face did clear up. they do it by extractions then putting on this very cooling mask on you then apply this electric shock zapping thing on your face to kill any bacteria. it doesn’t hurt at all. sammie does a superb job. the owner recognizes me and they offered me a discount on the ‘next’ 500 package for 11 treatments. But they pushed too far for it, I ended up awkwardly saying ‘that money can’t be touched’. sammie really tried to clear all areas of blackheads/​whiteheads.
its been about 3 years since I’ve been there. i mean i went because i was breaking out a lot during college. but that phase is over. each facial goes for an average of 60 bucks. depending on what you want. i would go back.
oh and i forgot, i did an eyelash perm there. i told them not to curl it too much. but that happened anyway. that was 30 bucks. lasted for a month. not worth it.
i also did eyebrow treatments there. wax and plucked. on separate occasions. first time there, sammie waxed my brows for me. third time there, the owner who never met me before (and sammie wasn’t there) said ‘waxing? that’s so bad for your skin, we never do waxing here.) she was full of b.s. anyway, the waxing did NOT hurt AT all. it was done very fast. in fact, i’d say it was really comfortable and therapeutic when she did it. she finished in 10 – 15 min. not like she was rushing anyway.
oh, they also have the 60 dollar or 90 dollar facial treatment. they claim the more expensive one goes deeper into your pores and cleansing it. if you don’t have EXCESSIVE breakout, don’t bother. 60 is just as good.
